The best restaurants in Horsley Hill South Tyneside North East

Went with my girlfriend, had lunch there, very nice food and great atmosphere. Reasonably priced best coffee shop around this area

food is always great from here, but lately its been hard to get an order as although shop is open it comes up not taking deliveries?... this has been happening often I only live 5mins/10 away so it can't possibly be that, I have my reward to collect but haven't been able to due to this, hopefully things will get better from nxt week fingers crossed.

Popped in here ad-hoc as was passing and fancied a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Paid £10 for the privilege of ordering a bacon and egg sandwich with a flat white. It was nice, but not £10 nice. Seems very expensive when you can get comparable food at significantly lower prices nearby. I'll personally not be back.

Avoid this place ordered a house special chowmein, this was cold and then husband was sick because of it. My all in one dish was chicken, gravy rice and chips. Gravy far far to thick was like having a bowl of gravy but tar like instead. Virtually no meat and no taste whatsoever.

Fantastic food, presented with care and friendly customer service. Nothing was too much trouble. The cafe itself was warm and welcoming and very comfortable. Gluten and dairy free options were available.

We fancied chips to take home for lunch and being nearby to highland fisheries at the time we just made it before it closed at 2pm. The chips were fine but maybes the fish cake had stood a bit longer than normal.

We visited here as my husband has had surgery and wanted to go somewhere he could walk. We decided on toasties which I know have not changed for a number of years but they were tasty. Minchella’s ice cream is a memory of childhood and never disappoints. The staff on the day we went were very helpful and friendly

What an Amazing place. Set in an old Smugglers Cave the atmosphere was nice & the food was great. There is a lift down to the restaurant but it closes at 10pm for some reason ? After that you have to use the long stairs up from the seafront. If you have mobility problems like I do you'd be better getting out before 10pm. I would imagine it's great in the summer as you go right down to the seafront. Sadly it was dark when I went with friends but I'll definitely be going back 👍

pizza is unreal and it’s great that you get chips along with every pizza you buy! one of the best places for a takeaway for sure.

For those that like a spicey dish. I ordered Singapore noodles with Singapore rice ,curry sauce and the usual prawn crackers and OMG! Once again red star you delivered. There's enough for 4 in these tubs man but me being a greedy you no what I was nowhere near finishing half lol. The quality and volume was just out of this world. There's meat in the rice, meat in the noodles, man just amazing, thanks again.
