very disappointed in the cheeseburger. no salad. just a tiny burger with a slice of cheese. 4quid?????? more expensive than a chippy for a cheeseburger and you get salad with theirs. chips nice but burger isn't worth the price

food is perfect but was sent chocolate cake instead of coleslaw 😆

I came in for the first time this week. Lovely little place. The food portions are genuine, the lady is friendly and looks after you and the prices are very reasonable. Had a lovely breakfast bun and cup of tea. And it's closer to home than the town centre. Ideal.

Waited ages for delivery, couldn’t phone as phone was turned off went in to try and collect food only for them to say they can’t give me it as I have to cancel just eat which means I needed to pay twice for the food and card machine wasn’t working

It's a fantastic little place. The food is great, and the staff are fantastic. You arrive as a customer and leave as a friend .

the breakfast was great really enjoyed it but the chicken curry rice .... the rice wasn't even cooked and was very hard not even half cooked. as I've went to eat it and it's all hard so inedible. gutted as I kept that for tonight at 6:30pm and ate my breakfast soon as I got it. again the brekky was spot on and also this is the first time this has happened. maybe got mixed up with how long the rice was cooking.. have put in for refund from just eat.. will still order again.

Delivery never shown up at all!!! I am type 1 diabetic and had already took my insulin when it shown it was up for delivery! For the delivery to not to show up! Absolutely disgusting that the just eat driver would do this!! £22 and nothing to eat!!!

some of the eggs were hard, and the soft ones were a bit sloppy with jelly only 2 eggs out of six were cooked properly, could have been cooked another min normally they are great, but one box looked like the eggs had been put in by a catapult, also tea was only half a cup full.

Enjoyed it but it arrived in a sloppy state by that meaning tomatoes were all over and making the box soggy

Full breakfast wasnt nice, burnt toast, rock hard bacon. Ordered a cake too which tasted a week old. Sausage sandwich was perfect as always though

ordered 2 breakfasts and it was the best we've had in a long time and value for money, even coffee was lovely. would of had 5 stars all over but curly wurly brownie and can of pop was missing

The problem was not with J & V but with the useless J E delivery guy. My food arrived almost on time,(not bad as he was on a pedal bike), but he rang to say he couldn't leave the order in the unlocked porch as it was locked, he argued it was shut even when I told him I'd unlocked it as I have mobility issues, he then hung up. I manged to get to the front door to find no sign of him, I got to the end of the path and saw nobody. I rang him back and he was admitted he had the right number, I told him I was at the front door and he wasn't there. Again he hung up. I had to go and sit down and was going to trying him again when the porch door opened and he shouted in. I got there to see a smiling face and the guys bike, I told him he must have had the wrong number, he gave me my order and tried to explain, judging by his hand gestures he must have been in the street 1 down from ours, because I couldn't really understand him. I rang J & V to let them know my hot sandwiches were now cold and inedible as well as my coffee. They even offered me a freebie with my next order and it was even their fault, we'll done to the very nice lady I spoke to. I told her I was going to complain to just eat and ask for a refund because the meal was cold and the delivery guy's attitude was not good at ALL. I've done this and been offered £5 and change put on to my account on a £16.61 order. Not good enough. Well done J & V for your kind offer and excellent customer service 👏 👍 Which I've done and

Ordered extra fried bread and ordered extra fried egg got neither. But when I say don’t send the coffee I it got spilt all over me the last time they can do that. So pick and choose what they want to do. They were lucky I never took the hot drinks being spilt over me further

I swear down this place has the best chips ever. The curry is absolutely delicious too, I'm really picky and only like curry and chips when out, I could eat it all day from here. My mam had the Kiev and chips and she loved it. Really tasty food and really good quality with good portion sizes. Definitely worth it, if I could eat the curry and chips everyday I would 😂😂

Best place in south Shields for food in my eyes. Food is always so beautiful and perfectly cooked, and the cakes are to die for. The staff is always so friendly and get to have a good laugh with them too.

I am 6 months pregnant and loving full English breakfast right now and this restaurant delivers really good food for breakfast and even called me as I request extra fried bread and couldn't find the button for it and they said at no extra charge they would put me some on 😌 I was over the moon lovely food on time will be using again. Thank you

Lasagne was about 2 layers, cakes were dry curry was absolutely pathetic just tiny bits of chicken think the sauce soaked through the CARDBOARD box it was put in, waste of money

Another round of bacon & sausage sarnies this morning, piping hot and stuffed full 😋 Two new converts to J&V, my daughter and her new fiance. She had corned beef pie which she said was lovely and her fiance had the roundabout, which was enormous and tasted great. But he could finish it and he can eat for England. We'll done J & V top notch nosh.🥓🍳🥮

Large bacon & egg, large bacon & sausage and small bacon & sausage sarnies all delivered on time and piping hot again. This is our second order of breakfast sarnies, we wanted to try something different but they were so nice last time, we just couldn't. Again bacon and sausage well cooked, tasty and lot's of it. The buns/stotties are soft, which isn't always the case and I got 2 egg's in my sarnie which had lovely runny yolks 🍳🍳 Excellent food, service and amazing price, well done J&V 👏 I must try something else next time.

Amazing food, I ordered the ultimate breakfast and 2 normal breakfast and it was absolutely lovely and my daughter enjoyed her nuggets kids meal too

The most overpriced and naff food in shields, lasagne was horrible and full of grease. Portion of chips was tiny over cooked fat oven chips. Large sausage sandwich with extra sausage, didn't even fill half the bun. Chicken curry was worst I have ever had and tiny portions

Unreal jacket potato with chicken tikka, saucy tikka instead of just seasoned chicken for anyone who was wondering. Would happily pay more to get more filling too

First order from J & V after reading reviews. We had a large bacon sarnie with extra sausage, large bacon with extra egg and 2 small bacon & sausage sarnies, all of which arrived pipping hot. The buns were soft and fresh, the large buns were more like a stotties and were just as fresh. The small sarnies were very well filled with really tasty bacon and sausage, the large bacon sarnies were massive, again filled with lot's of well cooked tasty bacon. The order was cheaper and just as good if not better than Tynesides popular pork shop. I need to see if they have their own website as J E delivery drivers have little or no customer service skills and could stop some people ordering from J & V again. Thank you and well done 👏

Fair to say I won’t order again - ordered a toasty and panini asked for cheese on them assumed they’d of come with cheese for the price but asked in the comments for extra measure. the toasty came as dry ham & bread nothing else🤣 daughter completely refused to eat it. panini came completely mashed all the filling was outside the bread - took 53 minutes to arrive & I only ordered 2 items and live up the road - will definitely stick to where i usually order from what a shame!
