Cosy cafe.. Home cooked produce, soups, Frittata, scones etc. all lovely. Street parking only.

Called in for a coffee to meet my wife and Grandson, Service was excellent, food is delicious, very child friendly would definitely recommend

A great lunch out here today . 4 of us managed to get the last table so a lovely busy atmosphere made all the better with the Christmas carol singers(customers!) in the corner complete with guitar accompaniment.Staff very welcoming as usual.

Superb coffee and very reasonable prices for hot food as well as scones and cheesecake etc. favoured by mature visitors as very homely and has several armchairs which are comfy

Best coffee shop/Community hub in South Shields. Food is always fresh and well cooked. Don't get me started about the service. Gwen and her team are AMAZING. Helpful and caring going above and beyond to make customers feel special.

Fab coffee shop and local craft shop. They don't just sell the usual coffee shop items, no not here, you can also buy hand made gifts from wax melts to Knitted clothing! They sell birthday and other celebration cards, some hand made and some generic. Also there's books by local artist and author Sue Graber. People travel from as far as Northumberland just to have a cuppa and as they sell local produced coffee AND all prices are fairly reasonable there's even more reason to come along. So pop on down to Coffey by name and be welcomed with a friendly smile.

Great place with lovely food and friendly service

Great service, great coffee and a great smile. Caught my eye driving by on my long journey back home. Glad I dropped in. Great atmosphere and a free smile to boot... What's not to like. Recommend

I received a very warm & friendly service. The breakfast was amazing delicious & freshly cooked. The Cakes & scones are homemade the best I've ever tasted. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff they go out of their way to please all of their customers. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

Booked a table for 3 with very comfortable seats. The staff are extremely friendly and obliging. It was Covid friendly with hand sanitisers and check in point. We only had drinks due to two friends at Slimming World!!! I will certainly be going back to try the scones which looked lovely. Everything was very reasonably priced in-fact great value. A few nice gifts were on sale too. I purchased a local book by Sheila Graber for a gift. Would definitely recommend this lovely cafe.

Today I had the takeaway chicken curry, with 50 50 split for rice and chips. Even came with a little naan bread. All fantastic quality at an amazing price

Our first visit here. Its a canny little place, set on the main road but with a wide pavement in front with a couple of outdoor tables. The home made cheese and potato pie was tasty and Him Indoors had bacon and mushroom fritata. Its a little quirky place with handmade goods and what appeared to be a 'knit and natter' session going on at one end. Very laid back. I liked it.

We visit this little craft cafe almost every week. It's super friendly with a really lovely atmosphere. The coffee is hot, the cakes are delicious and the staff are fab! We have attended one of the craft sessions and found it very therapeutic. It's also dog friendly. We would definitely recommend a visit.

Home baking done on premises. Good choice of beverages. Gwen and Joe very friendly. Craft items are available for purchase. Comfortable seats and plenty of good magazines to read. Highly recommended establishment.

I resently visited Coffey by Name its a lovely bright clean coffee shop. Lots of lovely homemade cakes, Soups and Sandwiches. They also sell Toasties, Paninis, and Jacket potatos as well as a nice breakfast choice. The Coffee is locally sort they sell Tynemouth Coffee which is really lovely. The owner Gwen and her staff are very welcoming theres also lots of room as its a big shop. They sell lots of crafts that locals make which is also a nice touch. All in all fantastic

Coffey by Name is a gem in the local community. Craft groups, kids corner, Easter colouring competition, locally produced coffee, home baking, salads, sandwiches, and craft work for sale. The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly. The staff are attentive to customers' needs and accommodate needs wherever possible. The Easter activities for children and parents seeking various activities have been much appreciated.
