Can’t understand the review about having to wait a wee while, this is a corner shop in a small village, the owner is very friendly and it’s nice to while away some time sampling the many different cheeses whilst discussing current events. If you’re in that much of a hurry go to a faceless supermarket and buy pre packed cheese and meats. We travel 10 miles quite often to buy our cheese hear because you know you’re going to get personal service and local produce.

Run by volunteers as a warm space centre. Limited food but what they have is good and made in the premises. Staff are very friendly, would recommend this place.

Been a few times when going into Berwick. Fantastic breakfast at a great price. Very nice staff - service with a smile. Plenty of parking.

What s smashing cafe. We stumbled on it almost by accident. Such a friendly team who are obviously devoted to this enterprise. We each had cake which was delicious. That said all of the food looked wonderful. No prices as it is pay what you think is right. For those who are able to give a little bit more it allows others who find things a bit more difficult to sample the wonderful food. This cafe is a good reason to visit Berwick. We will be back.

What a wonderful place to have a cup of tea! We were visiting the Heritage Centre next door and were taken in by the quirkiness of the idea and decided to have lunch in the carriage. We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming young man who gave us a few minutes to make our lunch choice. The tea was served in a traditional tea pot in “proper” china tea cups which was just perfect. Our food choices were soup and a cheese scone, ham and cheese sandwich and a sausage and bacon bun, all presented lovely and totally delicious. We were on holiday in the area and wish we live closer as I’d visit all the time. The prices were very reasonable and the service from the staff faultless.

We arrived for breakfast at 10am Sunday & no sign of life at all. Maybe update your opening times on Tripadvisor. Food could very well be delicious …. We’ll never know 🥺

We arrived at the last minute but Nancy was kind enough to still serve us we had tea and cakes which were fantastic. (Most excellent as my husband says.) Danish apple cake and ginger and sweet potato cake. The café is clean, inviting, interesting with an array of any cake/dessert you could possibly fancy. We didn't even have time to look at the furniture and other arty items so will have to go again when we come back on holiday. Nancy is so nice and hospitable.

This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!

A lovely little impromptu find on a wet day. So friendly and helpful choosing our wine tasters. Nice wine selection and games to pass the time. Tasters were excellent value for money. Dog friendly too and the little dog treats were a lovely gesture. Highly recommend. Only wish we could have spent longer there.

An amazing experience. Robin is an outstanding host and the food was out of this world. We celebrated our ruby wedding anniversary here and it made a memorable occasion even more memorable. We spent time looking at all the animals, emu, highland cattle to name a few. The best time was in the Obbit house where we listened to great music and laughed all night. Excellent!

Tuck away on the back streets of the Spittal area of Berwick upon Tweed close to the sea front is this little gem of a restaurant cafe. Lovely friendly service - loved children & kids with seating outside and part of a little oasis of adjoining businesses. Has to be experienced to believe - go see it for yourself & enjoy.

There are a number of places to eat and drink in this popular street . Coxon and Coxon provides excellent wines and things to nibble on in a very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. People talking rather than shouting...interesting music in the background Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Nicky and Leo. The wines are of excellent quality and varying prices including by the glass. Excellent charcuterie.
