This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!

. . . a group order, looked amazing when boxes open; packed with fillings and simply delicious; difficult not to indulge!

Lovely cafe. My husband and I had coffees and cake. Both were delicious. The meals being served to other customers looked very good. Next time we will visit for a main meal. The cafe is dog friendly...while we were there, people brought in their dogs...seven in all.

Been trying to come here for some time, but previous visits were out of season. Very unassuming to look at but the lobster roll was one of the finest lunches I’ve ever had. Toasted brioche bun with lots of butter, and the mix of lobster and filling was just superb. Will definitely be back next time in Bamburgh. Also free parking for 60 mins adjacent to a quiet bit of beach.

Another glorious day so we were able to sit outside in the small courtyard which was a real sun trap - if you have dogs then you are not allowed inside. The staff are really friendly with all the food made on the premises. I had a fabulous cheese and leek quiche and salad - so tasty and full of flavour with thin pastry which was perfect! My husband was much more traditional with scrambled eggs on brown toast with beans but it was just what he wanted. The cakes looked amazing and we had a fabulous chocolate sponge which was very chocolatey - just what we wanted. The breakfast baps bring served to other tables looked generous and delicious too. It only takes cash so be prepared!

We had pizza, one of us the gluten free. It was real Italian pizza. We had no reservations, but they had a table for us. Everyone was very friendly and we came back the next evening. When back in Seahouses, that will be our favourite restaurant. Highly recommended!

The staff were very welcoming from the off - and warm and friendly throughout, it is dog-friendly and the place was smart enough. The booths were a bit much - I get the privacy vibe they’re going for but they just look a lot cheaper than those in a genuine vintage pub. The drinks were fine - a recommended special from the first waitress went down well with a daughter. I guess the food just summed up what a lot of restaurants are like now. Over-priced and leave you feeling it just wasn’t worth it. Four mains, four desserts, 7 drinks, probably does cost £150 nowadays. The mussels were £22 for 19 of them - 3 of which were not open - with 2 slices of sourdough and a bit of crème sauce (see photo). The burger came with minimal garnish, and the bacon on it was AWOL. The scampi in a basket was a retro style, but was just a little dated really. So nice staff, probably not over-priced I guess, but we left a bit ‘mehhhh’ and were reminded so many places you eat out at nowadays just aren’t worth it.
