Finally after a number of years we made it to Creel and Reel. Hot lobster rolls and a bacon and scallop sandwich. Absolutely delicious.

What a surprise to find this amazing father and son team serving restaurant worthy seafood cooked to order from a small trailer close to the beach. And what amazing food it is too! We had Cheesey Crab, brown crab meat cooked with with tarragon, cayenne and cheese and served with a slice of fresh lemon and eaten sitting outside on the picnic tables in the sunshine. Mouthwatering! And that's not to mention the seriously good crispy chips. A must if you're anywhere near Bamburgh Castle.

Wow what an excellent find on the links car park bambrugh The seafood was amazing and so fresh. Can get very busy but didn’t have to wait long and it was certainly worth it !

We were staying near Bamburgh for a few days and became aware of Creel and Reel so thought we’d give it a try . My wife and I both opted for the half lobster and fries. Food was superb and the most difficult decision was what to order. We’ll definitely be back .. Give Creel and Reel a try and like us, you won’t be disappointed.

We live locally and visit summer and winter to enjoy restaurant quality seafood at street food prices. I've tried most dishes on the menu and they are all excellent. To check opening times etc search creel and reel on facebook.

Absolutely love the food from Creel and Reel. It's our third visit and the food and service has been excellent every time. We had the Monkfish skewer, seared Scalops and garlic butter, Scallop and bacon roll and a portion of fries. Scallops are huge, meaty and full of flavour as is the Monksfish. Perfect location for a walk through the dunes onto Bamburgh beach and the parking was free today but usually £5. I wish we could eat here every day.

Fabulous scallop and bacon roll with fries. The scallops were huge, plenty of yummy thick bacon. The guy was amazing as he was serving so many but everything so well organised and a buzzer to let you know when your food was ready. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

Called up on a wet Sunday lunch time. The lobster roll was to die for, yes it may not be the cheapest but absolutely fantastic. The homemade burger was also amazing and the chips perfectly seasoned. Service was polite and we even got a buzzer so we could wait in the car out of the rain. We will be back as only live down the coast.

An absolute delight to head off the amazing Northumberland beaches, over the wind swept dunes and discover this tasty gem. A great find and lovely to get some local knowledge for the rest of our stay. Lobster roll was outstanding - thank you!

All I can say is WOW!!!!! Me and my partner have been wanting to try this food for a few months now and finally we got to try it and it did not disappoint! We ordered a few things from the menu, lobster roll, scallops and crab and spent the entire time just saying wow with every bite! Lol we will definitely be back best seafood either one of us have ever had!

Stopped here after walking along the beach, was around 14:30 and really busy. I ordered the monkfish and chorizo skewer. It was delicious, fresh and piping hot. Will definitely eat here again, everyone was commenting on how good their food was. I’ve written this review straight after eating to make sure I didn’t forget. Really good. Eat here!

Ordered lobster, monkfish & chorizo and cod with Ragu sauce. All cooked to perfection, really tasty and fresh. Tasted of the sea. Service really quick, and very helpful and friendly. Will go again when in the area. Hugely recommended .

What an amazing find!! Beautiful freshly prepared food & excellent friendly service. It was closed (due to a broken generator) on our arrival, but happily it reopened before we left. Our first dinner (that we pre- ordered by text, was ready for collection on time and eaten at home) was so delicious, it was followed by lunch the following day at the Bamburgh location. We were towards the end of the lunch spell and so a number of items were sold out. But it meant that we all had something different - and everything was equally as good as the previous night’s dinner. We returned the next day for a final lunch on the way home. Between us, over the 3 days we had almost everything on the menu - the lobster, monkfish, prawn chilli burger, scallops, fishy fries. The food was freshly prepared to order and it was all hot and delicious. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the service never changed. We will be back next year!!

Oh my goodness! Lobster and scallops to die for! It’s our first time staying here and we’ve found an absolute gem for seafood! I can see us doing this every night for a week! Many thanks for keeping us so well fed on holiday! All the best for the future! V&M

Had seen this little trailer on Google maps. Our first time in Northumberland, and we were determined to visit. Messaged the lovely chap who runs it on Instagram to make sure we got the right times and location, he confirmed he would be at Bamburgh. Arrived at 12... (Already saw other hungry visitors circling!) Had Lobster claws, the Bacon and scallop roll and scallops with toast and garlic. OH MY LORDY... it was delish. Just wish I had taken some pictures of it, but was in too much a hurry to tuck in. Please be there next year? (we have rebooked to stay in Alnmouth) got the feeling we may be following you around for the whole week!

For goodness sake don't tell anyone about this absolute gem of a seafood 'shack' we arrived off the beach after closing time and were served with truly memorable lobster and chips. Totally delicious. Great guy. Best wishes for the season ahead and a well deserved future

We walked from Seahouses to Bamborough along the beach with the idea we'd go to this place for lunch, expecting to see a restaurant on the roadside. When we came across this trailer in a car park with a few picnic tables alongside, I felt pretty disappointed! I needn't have worried, the guy who owns the trailer is amazing. He has his catch of the day which he cooks and sells himself. Be prepared for a wait, maybe half an hour, but it is worth it! I had sole fillet in lemon and caper butter and my husband had scallops and bacon in a roll. There was lobster too. It was well-worth the 12km round trip walk, totally recommend going, but get there around 12.30 for a good choice from the menu as he sells out after around 1.30pm.

This is my first overseas visit after the pandemic; also a family visit after close to six years. The trip to Northumberland was a brief one but apart from the local sight-seeing, I think the meal we had here is one of the main highlights....

Well worth a detour but get here early. A very poular catering trailer selling top notch seafood. We enjoyed a hot lobster roll with fries, and monkfish wrapped in bacon in a roll. Not cheap but given the ingredients, excellent value.

Definitely quality we’ve never been disappointed. I’ve tried the crab sandwiches, teriyaki salmon and the king prawns but must say my absolute favourite has to be the seared scallops. My husband who is not a fan of seafood loves the steak.
