A nice small cafe serving excellent coffee/tea and a handsome scone. The tables are arranged in an open square room in a functional way so it couldn't be described as cosy. But it's a pleasant enough place with very friendly staff. A little off the beaten track for Whitley Bay centre, but if you're in the area, it's worth stopping off.

Living in the area I have seen this shop change hands a couple of times so wasn't sure quite what to expect when I popped in a couple of months ago for a take out coffee on a day off. Delightfully surprised with the vast range of delicious coffees and savoury/sweet treats. The Turkish coffee+Turkish Delight+Baklava is worth a trip alone, likewise so is the Turkish Bagel. It's quirky and unique, clearly very popular with the locals. My only slight critique is your recently increased prices, so be careful not to price yourself out of the market as the cost of living works both ways. Otherwise, please stay in Monkseaton!

We've been here a few times but, since we last went, the owners have made the decision to be mainly takeout with a small amount of seating indoors and outside. We really wanted to dine in or sit outside and, with the outdoor seating being very popular today due to the sunshine, we opted to sit on the very comfortable bar stools at the side. Our yummy lunch was delivered in minutes and it was well presented in a little basket. I opted to get a takeaway coffee to take back to the car and it was delicious (and in a fully compostable cup). I thoroughly recommend the flat white and biscuit syrup which takes like biscoff. Overall, our experience was wonderful and it's clear that the staff really care about their customers and are super helpful. Thanks to all three of you for such as lovely lunch.

Almost felt cheeky to ask so late (nigh on 7 on a Thursday evening ) if a table for two was available & was assured that they could squeeze us in at the window seating if we were there before 8. We managed to get there around 7.30 and we (my daughter and I) were given a table. Bonus! Drinks order quickly taken & food order shortly after. Mocktail & Cocktail duly arrived and, after a short wait, the food too. Weâve been to Omni many times, for brunch, lunch & dinner, and it is always memorableâŠItâs very chilled, limited menu maybe but when everything is delicious then thatâs fine by me. Ribs to die for, slow cooked beef shin curry, ginger rice & Asian slaw were demolished. In fact, even with two big appetites, we couldnât eat it all so a little box was required to take home the rest. Many, many thanks to the brilliant staff; so accommodating, so intuitive & so caring. All adding up to a perfect evening. I love that such a great restaurant is five minutes from our house & look forward to visiting againâŠ.soonâŠvery soon

Run donât walk to Foda in Monkseaton. Sarah had the French toast of the day which was brĂ»lĂ©ed figs, crĂšme fraiche, walnuts, honey and cinnamon toast and Grilled lemon. It was unreal. I had steak and eggs with an extra sausage. The drinks were beautiful too with an option for some CBD in it too. Best food Iâve had in a long time

When to the Red Lion for dinner, staff very pleasant, bar area nice and spacious and generally clean ,thatâs where it ends ,myself and wife sat at table no 42 facing the corner opposite, where four dogs were congratulating with there owners ,lovely dogs ,so lovely they had a dogs water bowl on there table ,the dogs sat on the seats next to there owners ,and even due to the fact that the owners put dog blankets on the seats ,the dogs just walked over the seats ,I do believe that the dogs found the tables ok for there use ,but call my old fashioned it was not acceptable to me and my wife ,please note iam not saying anything detrimental about the dogs they felt at home ,you may ask the question why I ordered the meals in this situation, one reason is that my wife does not like confrontation,so I kept my mouth shut ,the meal my wife wanted was not available so she chose another ,I chose Irish burgers Wow wow What a pile of rubbish ,mind you the dogs kept looking over at them ,but iam not cruel I love dogs ,would not like the vet bills if they ate them The icing on the cake was when my wife went for the salt she picked it up and low and behold they had not put the bottom on ,this in due course allowed the salt to pour out from the bottom ,method in there mad ness more salt kills the taste no complaints This is fact oh and do not drink the beer unless you like warm flat ale
