Nine Streets Coffee in North Tyneside

A nice small cafe serving excellent coffee/tea and a handsome scone. The tables are arranged in an open square room in a functional way so it couldn't be described as cosy. But it's a pleasant enough place with very friendly staff. A little off the beaten track for Whitley Bay centre, but if you're in the area, it's worth stopping off.

We visited on Friday & got the last available table, it would appear our timing was poor as there were several other orders ahead of ours & it took quite some time (almost 25 minutes) for them to be processed, was quite anxious about how long it was taking as needed to get home to pick up my grand daughter from school, the coffee was nice as was the banana & chocolate cake but if you’ve not got a sweet tooth, would suggest you share a slice as it’s incredibly rich! Nice staff & pleasant interior. Novel that you can still see the old vault from its banking days.

This is a lovely place for afternoon tea and coffees. The cakes are lovely.The cheese scones are tasty and light. The date and walnut cake is moist and tasty. They had a gluten free cake . This is a good place to come .Everybody is very friendly

Nine Streets Coffee was recommended by a friend so I popped along to have a sample. Wow what a place. Great vibe to the place and tastefully decorated. The two lads serving were very friendly and service was top notch. But wow... the best coffee I have ever had including all big chains and other independents. Latte extra shot was my choice and it really hot the spot. Well done Nine Streets! I will definitely be coming back. Can not recommend this place enough. Six stars!
