Great local with good food and great service .

The worst restaurant experience i have ever had. Waitress seemed really off with us from the second we entered the building, just walking to an empty table and throwing the menus on before walking away. Ordered the “Deep fried squid” and potato skins, the “deep fried” “squid” was soggy, rubbery and tasteless. Didn’t seem like it had been deep fried or freshly prepared, but i could get over this and look forward to our mains. However, my partner then found a black hair in her potato skins ( actually cooked into the skin itself ). We brought this to the waitress’s attention, she picked up the plate and walked away. Didn’t say anything, then started seeing to other customers. We were absolutely shocked by this, so i then told another member of staff what had happened and he apologised and went to check what was being done about this. We made the decision to leave before our mains even arrived, first time i have ever left like this in a restaurant. We said we would still pay for our starters, so the waitress threw a little plate on our table with a number to pay on it. Was shocked we were actually having to pay for what we had experienced but then about 2 minutes later she came back saying we didn’t have to pay. All in all, the customer service was the worst i have ever experienced, the restaurant is tiny and very cluttered, we waited about 20 minutes for our starters, our drinks were bland with no ice or straws, the food was tasteless and felt like they should’ve been paying me to eat it, and the cherry on top was finding a hair in the starter which was handled abhorrently. Will absolutely not be coming here again, Cassia Sambuca a few doors down the road is a league above Sambuca 1. We went to Cassia Sambuca after leaving Sambuca 1 as we were still hungry and the experiences were night and day, great food, friendly atmosphere and felt welcomed. Don’t waste your time or money at Sambuca 1 on the Fish Quay

A nice small quirky bar in Tynemouth, they have a lot of choice of beers from around the world, great to get a window seat to people watch. Cool toilets... well the men's. Can't say what the ladies toilet is like 🤣

An eclectic coffee shop that serves excellent quality sandwiches, coffee & cakes. Only my 2nd visit but I found it excellent again. It can get quite busy around lunchtime & can be disappointed, no seating inside. That happened to me recently. The pricing is very fair considering what you get. I really want to try their cakes. They look lovely.

This cafe is a very popular one in the Blagdon estate shopping area called milkhope, it’s a lovely cafe with plenty space, on busy days (pretty much every day) you may have to wait for a table the line does go down fast, & it is worth waiting for. The food is homemade and perfect for lunch. They also sell some locally made produce. I recommend their chocolate cake. But everything they do here is lovely. The staff are extremely friendly.

Pie and chips. First class pies. Filled to the lid and with proper chunks of meat. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Honestly the most amazing food and not only great customer service but caring owners, a must for any cravings 😋

This is a bit of a hidden gem of tynemouth for food, drink and location. The food is incredible and mirrors the menu available within the grand, Brilliant line up on the bar and service is spot on. We’ve been in for roast dinners (served every day!!) a few times now and always delicious and consistent. We visited today with the dogs after a long walk along the beach. Much nicer and fairly priced compared to some nearby places.

On basis of quality this was the worse burger I’ve ever had.i took one bite of it & it was totally rank even my dog refused it.I will never be ordering food from her again

This is our always local indians takeaway. Food is always fantastic here with never a complaint.. tonight got the weekday special with a few tweaks and extras.. tonight I even called them to say how fantastic the food was.. was said by us all how good it was.. never been disappointed. Looking forward to next time

I go here a lot these days...... nice and relaxed, the mince 'n dumplings are particularly sublime.

Chicken tikka masala, pilau rice, chips & naan bread. Absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of spice to make me feel like a big girl eating spicy food when I can barely tolerate regular pepper on my food and too much salt is spicy to me 😂 Perfect as always

Ive been coming for years and ive always found staff pleasent, polite especially when im with individuals i support. Always busy. Never had any issues with going to the table i put down for my order to go to. Staff work incredibly hard everytime and apologize if food has taken a bit longer to arrive. I can honestly say the guy behind the counter does multiple roles including taking the orders keeping newer staff on track which id say wouldn't be the easiest of roles. A bit of understanding would go alway for staff trying to do their best
