The best restaurants in Low Fell Gateshead North East

Lovely restaurant, relaxing feel to it. Fantastic customer service, guy went out of his way to help us. We are vegan, so we asked if they could keep a bottle of vegan red wine for us. They sourced one for us especially, no problems at all and didn't charge any extra for it either. Really reasonable prices and the food is fantastic. A couple of vegan mains, and a few starters, which was good. Always nice to see more vegan options if possible. Loads of options for meat eaters. The food is amazing and great portions. Definitely will be back at some point.

Excellent choice of real ales, e.g. White Rat and Blonde Star, on the downside music was too loud for a catch up. Definitely recommend.

Booked one week before for 3 people for the Sunday. Turned up to find the shutters down tried ringing and hung up sent a Facebook message read it and ignored. One of our party had travelled all the way from Carlisle and I was treating them here for there birthday. Very unprofessional for a business that is supposed to value its customers. The fact that they actually hung up and also read the online message and just ignored it. I would be cautious if your planning anything special with them !

Stairwayz Cafe provided our team with our Christmas buffet catering for around 30 people. There was plenty of food for everyone. Everything arrived fresh and neatly presented. There was lots of tasty sandwiches with a good choice of filling. The cake was lovely and fresh too.

It was fine for my sandwich to take to work- but in no way "excellent" as I had read in their reviews(until I saw the same surname on one of those reviews!) Maybe let genuine customers promote? leilahbrunton “The Lunch King” Food was amazing as was the service. Ordered multiple times at the office and the food has always been delicious and always arrived hot & on time!! Couldn't recommend enough!!

both drink had spilled, the panini was like rubber. and tasted of pesto NOT cheese and tomato as ordered. i put it in my own panini press to crisp it. I shouldn't have thought this particular costa had changed after a time away from it. I wont order from here again

Last week on Valentines day I been there with my friends this place . We enjoyed a lot at special day with best place for foods and environment . Excellent place for family dinner and extrovert staff. They are so kind and gentle . I had their special curry which recommended by Chef that was Akla special with Chapati ( Perfect combination ) . I recommend all of them who loves hot curry they should try it. 👌😋. Thank you Nafiza's for your outstanding service and food. See you again

Delicious fish and chips shop in heart of lowfell. Staff always happy and friendly with service. Could be busy at certain times of day but worth the wait. Great choices of selections and even do a kid meal which is lovely and good option for little ones.

Great bar with a chill vibe and nice atmosphere. The service is great and the drinks were really nice 👌

My starter had lovely tender meat. The lamb was good quality, not tough like most takeaway restaurants. Raj special madras was beautiful. tasted like a cross between danshak and madras. 10/10. Quality food 👍

Have visited on several occasions, and never disappointed. Beautifully fed and looked after.
