The best restaurants in County Durham North East

I absolutely love coming here for my weekly treat. Food always freshly cooked and amazing taste. Chicken chow mein is amazing quality and the crispy shredded chicken/beef is mouth watering. Peter and the gang are all lovely and the takeaway is always clean. No complaints and I hope you are around for a long time to fulfil my chinese takeaway cravings. 💓🫶

First time trying Emmy’s and have to say the food and service was great. Lad behind the counter was nice mannered and very respectful. The food was absolutely beautiful, I tried “The Big Un” cheeseburger and have to say I was very impressed. Burger was cooked fine chips that came with it seasoned fine. Will definitely be trying again👍

It is one of the most beautiful places around Sunderland. The ambience, the service, was just out of this world. I was, however, very disappointed with their food on this day. The meat was hard and had no taste at all!!

Incorrect food order arrived 1.5 hours after order. Phoned up and was told that we were wrong and not them. So we tried what arrived to avoid starving, food was awful. Wont be back used to really enjoy it under RIO brand not sure if its same people.

The best pizza for miles around. Been ordering from here for years and never had a bad takeaway. Always absolutely delicious. THE BEST chicken nuggets we’ve ever tasted too - thoroughly recommend

Poor quality especially the beef,poorly presented and only lukewarm and not a lot of it Did not impress and was not cheap £13 a head.

¡Evite a toda costa! Esta es probablemente una de las experiencias de comida para llevar más horrible de la historia. La comida sabía horrible y dejé casi todo mi plato al igual que mi pareja. Pido vermicelli de pollo y esto vino con dos rollos de primavera fritos enormes. ¡El pollo se parecía más al pato que se había congelado! La salsa para mojar no sabía bien y la salsa de chile tampoco estaba buena. En realidad pensé en recuperar la comida y tratar de recuperar mi dinero.

Paninis soft like bread. No crispness at all. No side salad or crisps apparently due to waste. You can pay for it though. Soft panini looked very sad on its own (and expensive). Surely you could ask customer when they order if they want side salad, then it wouldn’t be a waste !!!!

Phoned order in, with adjustments and hubby enjoyed. Speedy service. Big portions. Will be back.

Got the largest peach melba I have ever seen, filled with tons of fresh cream. Absolutely gorgeous. Owner was very friendly and told me she makes the things herself.
