I absolutely love coming here for my weekly treat. Food always freshly cooked and amazing taste. Chicken chow mein is amazing quality and the crispy shredded chicken/beef is mouth watering. Peter and the gang are all lovely and the takeaway is always clean. No complaints and I hope you are around for a long time to fulfil my chinese takeaway cravings. 💓🫶

Best Chinese I’ve had for years highly recommended

Asked for beef and mushroom curry and I only got beef with NO MUSHROOM AND VERLY LITTLE BEEF AND IT WAS ALL SAUCE When I tried to call back got no answer

Recently moved to the area, my wife and I love Chinese food, and where we lived before we went through loads of Chinese takeaways to find a decent 1, and looks like we're going to have the same problem here in this area. Absolutely horrendous. Firstly, a portion of crispy beef in Cantonese sauce, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style (both with chips, included with meal) and 1/4 duck, £33, the most expensive Chinese we've been too, and when I looked at the menu later, clearly overcharged. Now onto the food. Absolutely nothing had any taste. Like literally, zero taste. Duck was extremely dry. As I hate food waste, and tend to eat whatever my wife doesn't (pretty much all her meal), I couldn't even eat it. Will never have food from here again. Shocking experience

ordered for collection from coundon and wasn't disappointed one of best Chinese food I've had in very long time been to them all in Bishop auckland and this is my new take away . even got a Callander of the friendly bloke keep up the good work 👏

Top notch food , rice a little bit dry but will definitely be visiting again!

Total waste of money. Had to call after an hour to find out where the food was despite it only coming from the next village. Food was cold on arrival. Rice dish wasn't cooked properly so had to throw it away.

Best Chinese food ever, wouldn't get from anywhere else.

I ordered for the third time here it is always spot on the food is always piping hot very good quality the meat melts in your mouth and it is always very prompt delivery. Excellent

Foo young amazing best you'll taste

First time we have been to The Golden Gate. The majority of the meal was outstanding except the the Liver was a bit dry, slightly overcooked. Would still be revisiting.
