Good Food, But Unacceptable Wait Time
I ordered takeaway an hour in advance, expecting to pick it up at the time they advised. However, upon arrival, I was made to wait another 45 minutes before finally receiving my order. I understand that they were busy, but if they give a specific pickup time, the expectation is that the food will be ready—or at least close to ready—when I arrive. Instead, there was just a quick apology, and that was it.
That being said, the food itself was great, which makes it all the more frustrating. If they could manage their timing better, this would be an easy recommendation, but as it stands, the long and unpredictable wait dampened the experience.
Very comfortable bed (pillow blanket,..). Very calm.
Top quality food and pub's staff.
Very authentic. Well located.
Top quality/budget rate. Even better than big hotel's brands if you look after a real british experience. A must. And thank you all staff's membership for their investment to achieve your satisfaction.
We dined for Mother’s Day lunch yesterday and we’re disappointed that there wasn’t an acknowledgment of Mother’s Day. However, the real disappointment was when we received the bill and discovered we’d been charged £25 for poppadoms and pickles, of which we didn’t stipulate how many we required. La Raj has always been on the pricey side but as the food is usually of excellent quality, it wouldn’t be an issue - we’ve also had numerous takeaways which you are required to collect and pay cash which isn’t always convenient. The price point is just to excessive and unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
I had a lovely stay here, a lovely welcome on arrival, it’s a lovely old building with plenty of character. My room was cosy, it had everything required, walk in shower was very good, the bed was comfortable, halls were narrow but this will be down to the age of the property.
I never experienced the food in the evenings but I will say breakfast was delicious.
Don’t be deterred by the road, I could barely hear anything when in my room and this was road side.
Overall, a pleasant stay, staff were lovely.
Thank you.

Fantastic restaurant with a great menu the food is amazing and you don't have to wait long for it either make sure you book a table it gets fully booked on a regular basis
We’ve eaten here many times. Last year I found out I was intolerant to dairy and eggs.
Last night the waitress came over to take our order I told have about my intolerances. She got the manager who said everything had ghee in it, I was shocked with his statement most places just fob you off to make money and take a chance on contamination. I really appreciated his honesty, obviously values customer more than money.
We left and had the normal steak and chips from a pub.
Before I knew about my intolerances I would have the Naga Len…. It’s dynamite!
