Had Chinese from here last nite 15thjune, the meal was lovely but the chips were disgusting hard and very dry so obviously not fresh, so won't be going back there

Iv used this place for years never again!! Got a phone call off the delivery driver sayin she didn’t dare get out the car because of a cat and she was petrified it was raining heavily at the time! when I went out there was a old transit van sounded like a bag of hammers and a guy with the dirtiest hands iv ever see handed me my food and the lady was sat in the passenger seat obviously couldn’t be arsed to get out a deliver my food Because it was raining Absolutely shocking Never again and the food has gone down hill 0 starts from me

Menu was very detailed and numerous choices. Food we had was excellent. Portions were great and I managed another meal the day after.

Curry sauce spoilt a good meal. Why is it so gloopy and flavourless?

One of the best Chinese takeaways around, stumbled across this last year when our regular was closed and we haven’t looked back since, food is always high quality, portions are extremely generous for the price and we’ve never had a bad experience with Bishop Oriental. I’d highly recommend this to anyone. Always delivered on time.

Got argued with when not happy with rubbish in my food told it was a leaf funny looking coriander leaf if you ask me

Best chinese in Durham that I have found to date, we drive an hour to collect it is that nice. Good quality meat used in all dishes we have had and very very tasty. Have been using for about 6 months and never a bad meal.

Always used another local Chinese until a friend recommended this one, absolutely beautiful my new favourite, food piping hot, ready to pick up within 10 minutes, very good portion sizes, no complaints at all.

Ordered and waited for 3 hours, rang multiple times too be told driver was on the way. Then they hadn't cooked it as they made a mistake, which is understandable. The last time we rang we got told there was no food order placed from us and we would need too order. They could've told us earlier rather than after 3 hours and not lied saying it was on the way etc

First time trying this place last night and it definitely did not disappoint!! Food was lovely and piping hot! Best Char Sui Chow mein I've had for a while, black bean sauce was very tasty! Food was on time and the delivery driver was polite. Will definitely be ordering again 👍👍

The curry was like syrup and the chicken was not nice, tasted very different to a few weeks ago. Won't be having it again.

This was our go to Chinese until we have just had one. Ordered the same dish 3 weeks ago and it was lovely, ordered tonight and it was like syrup. The chicken seems to have changed too which also wasn't nice. Overall disappointed with my meal

Absolutely nipping clean all cooked in front of you and not covered in old daft posters in the shop. Food always freshly made and best chips around easily.

Lovely food from Bishop Oriental on time delivery and both girl on the phone and delivery driver were great and friendly. Delivery fee a little much for my location in relation to shop though.

What can I say? Have tried almost all Chinese takeaways in Bishop. Some are ok, some are good and some are terrible. Tried this place for the first time last month and I was blown away. The food is by far the best Chinese food in Bishop, the staff are so friendly and the shop is spotlessly clean. It’s my new go-to Chinese. Go on, give it a try- you won’t be disappointed.
