Highly recommend this place. Burgers with fries and breakfast sarnie were both delicious. Very good coffee too. Really friendly staff. We must have walked past here so many times. We have been missing out! It’s great. Will be back. Soon!

Being from Seaham, this is our go to burger joint. The burgers are always spot on, the bacon brioche buns are excellent, and the coffee (Lavazza) is very nice.

It was our 20th wedding anniversary and we came across Bulan the food was delicious and hot the lad who’s was serving us was so welcoming it’s a small & comfy environment we will definitely be going back :)

If you are looking for a place for breakfast this is the place to be! Fab sausage/egg and sausage/bacon rolls with great tea and coffee. Super friendly staff, great value and very dog friendly. Eat in or out. We have become regulars it’s that good.

This hidden gem at Seaham Marina is great for a coffee and bite to eat. Love visiting for a weekend brunch Good choice of menu, great service - can recommend the full English breakfast as well as the breakfast wrap

Came here on a trip to Seaham, lovely lady serving, had bacon/egg baps which were so hot (lovely to get piping hot food) and tasted so good. Bought a home made brownie to take home too and it was delicious.

Think this place has changed hands it’s not the same it’s awful to what it was before the lock down,what gets me is how they are still charging restaurant prices and giving you food in a plastic box no knife and fork serviette and the burgers are horrible not going back was so let down

Went here on Bank holiday Monday, not overly busy but the food was described as being 20 to 30 minute wait but it took 1 hour 10 minutes.My wife enjoyed the burger but the fries were very poor, I chose the Angus Dog which consisted of a stale baguette with two burnt deep fried sausages in which in no way shape or form represented the price paid, just shy of twenty pounds for both meals. The thing that I am keep asking myself though is who in reality puts raw red onions on a sausage (as it was not a dog as described)?Hot dogs deserve fried onions. Definitely one to give a wide berth

A cracking little gem of a place.We often visit the Marina and have tried other cafe & restaurants First time visit to Bulan - can recommend the bacon & egg bun - all meats sourced from a good quality local butcher.Service great as well.Can’t wait to visit again

I made an enquiry before hand to ask how much 5 hot dogs were as my child and his friends were doing a water activity on the Marina and I wanted to buy them each a hot dog afterwards and have the right amount of money with me. I spoke to a gentleman and was advised £12 something. On the day I was charged £18.75 by a lady there. I think £3.75 each for a child's hot dog is extortion. Nothing else with the hot dog's no chips or drink just the hot dog's on their own. I'd never buy from here again. Plus to be told one thing then charged another?

Enjoyed a nice lunch here in the sunshine. The burgers were good value and tasty, cooked freshly, and the service was great.

We are here just about every weekend. It’s beautiful, food is incredible and staff are lovely. Always ask about our little boy and give him lots of attention. Really friendly and have a little gem in a fantastic location.

Asked for a for a for a flat white, got a cappuccino that tasted of nothing. The spoon was brown and stained. The staff were lovely and gave me a refund but the coffee was terrible

I have been cycling in and through Seaham for a couple of years and always struggle to get a cafe that's handy for cyclist without the risk of having the bike stolen or in the way etc. We chanced going down to the harbour itself and found this little place which meets all our needs, serves a great coffee plus does a good burger/bacon roll etc.There is outdoor seating too on the off chance of some reasonable weather and it is now our regular when we do this route.Spot on

Went for lunch never been before, what can I say? Don't go here, give it a miss, then it will be free for me to go often, get a table and enjoy the delicious food its a hidden gem, will be going back, food was great quality, excellent service and price.

Very comfy and personable. Onion rings were scrumptious. Wanted the chicken with hummus but they were out of hummus. He promised to never be out again! Located in the marina area there is a lot to see and do. Well worth the visit even if for a great coffee!

Called in for breakfast. Lovely clean place, friendly staff. ample choice and severed promptly and very tasty. Would call again.

Just popped in for a tea and decided to eat aswell , menu was great and the food was even better , quality ingredients , would have loved more of the Angus sausage but my niece who is a very fussy eater pinched it and ate the lot . Will go back for certain .

Took my grandkids the other Saturday omg I’d never tasted a burger like it , it was delicious the kids I’d took , never eat a full meal there wasters , both of them finished there meals , my grandaughter who is the perkiest kid ever , said nanna that was the best burger ever , we are going back in an hour , lovely Dirty burger for me again xxx

After being in bed most of the weekend with man flu I finally felt a bit brighter and needed some fresh air. The mr said he was starving so we went to the marina. Got a table inside and drinks and menus were looked at. Little legs was hungry so went after the chicken burger with fries - comes with a drink for £5.99. Beardy decided he wanted the cheese burger and I fancied a bit of a change so went for the chicken fajitas wrap with a side of fries. I had a hot chocolate and the mr had sparkling water. As always the service was amazing and the young lady who served us was lovely - think little legs had a bit of a crush. Also had a chat with the lady who owns the place who was very lovely. As always can not fault the place and can’t wait to be back x

Me and my partner decided to go for a walk along the beach and come across Bulan Bugers. What a find! Very friendly staff, beautiful coffee and food is to die for. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend a visit :-)

We called here with my family and parents today and sat outside ,lovely clear day with sun shining but fairly cold but blankets on seats to wrap up and keep warm nice touch i thought.only 3 tablets outside so borrowed some chairs off other table,decent menu and prices ok had bacon/sausage sarnies and kids had chips all delicious and fresh.only 1 man doing all serving cooking etc maybe the owner but friendly and pleasant and good service.will recommend and call again.

This place was a great little find and best of all dog friendly we had a couple of bacon and sausage sandwiches which Millie shared with us the guy behind the counter gave her some water and treats. The sausages were amazing he told us he got them from a local butchers shop which we visited later what he did not tell us was they are award winning sausages.

Came across Seaham by chance driving home from Northumberland. We went down to the beach and wanted food! Walked past Bulhams the smell coming from inside was amazing! Ordered food sat outside in the sunshine, what great service and food outstanding well worth a trip recommend you go!

Stumbled upon this place while searching from somewhere to eat and was not disappointed. Friendly staff, delicious burgers and i have to say the Dirty Fries were amazing!

Dog Friendly cafe. Excellent food - value for money. Nice location overlooking harbour. Would call again if in the area.

Probably best bacon sandwich I’ve ever had , all family enjoyed there food, they even cooked the dog a complimentary sausage 👍🏻

Me and my sister went here for a meal and it was beautiful the burgers are homemade cooked in front of you and they taste so nice! Dog friendly and staff made conversation making us feel welcome! Will definitely be back here!

Had a late lunch today having been a couple of times before. As the name suggests this is a burger place but they also offer a few alternatives including all day breakfasts. This time I had a cheeseburger, my better half a cheese and bacon burger and our 8yr old a plain burger. The burgers were cooked slightly pink which might worry me in other eateries but Bulan get their meat from a top quality local butcher and I personally feel that's how a good burger should be. The food here is top notch but what really makes this place exceptional is the service, so friendly and relaxed with a personal touch. I always say it's the small touches that make a place memorable and the way the staff here go out of their way is something to be commended. If you love a good burger in a relaxed atmosphere this is the place to go.

Great food and service. The close of burgers was amazing. I have food allergies which were catered for. They cater for children, teenagers and dogs too. Really lovely friendly staff. We'd definitely be back.

We went to Bulan for breakfast on Sunday as we had come it then beach with the dog to run. We were no disappointed, this lovely dog friendly cafe was warm and comfy and our big breakfast was very tasty with excellent quality produce. The bacon and sausages were delicious and good coffee too. We will be back.

Having found this place on trip advisor we decided to give it a go for lunch and we weren't disappointed. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady (who I think was the owner) who took us through the menu firstly pointing out the children's section. There was a great choice and the menu offered great value, with a child's meal including a drink for £2.95. There was a section for older children also offered great value as it included the milkshakes which I may add were amazing and definitely worth a try. As adults we opted for the peanut butter and bacon burger and the naked chick, both were a good size and each came with a generous portion of fries. All meals were tasty and good quality. This place is a good little find and we will definitely be back.

Amazing from start to finish. Been here several times and never been disappointed! My son adores the staff as they as so friendly and lovely (we do too) and he says the young lady who serves us will be his girlfriend. Service is fab (lady with dark hair) and friendly and take time to chat even though busy with eat in and take away. The smells are mouth watering and prices are not ridiculous! Can't wait to be child free so that we can have a beverage or too. No complaints at all and even mentioned to the mr if we ever had a doo I would love the food to be catered there - looking forward to our next visit already

After being knocked down in the harbour area by a Japannese Jikita dog that tried to attack my shitzu the lady from this cafe looked after me gave me and my family drinks as I was in shock and had to be attended to by two firemen.

Called here this morning with family and had some drinks and snacks which were all good.sit inside or out.decent prices and good service.would go back

Visited today and the young gentleman gave us a warm welcome however said there was a little wait. I asked regarding our order 50 minutes later to be told there had been a mix up. The young gentleman was very apologetic and offered us a free drink but I declined. Once we did receive our food over an hour later it was very nice

Visit Bulan for a burger, but found they now do Sunday lunch. I have to say it's the best pork dinner I have had in a long time. Beautiful pork with crackling, homemade Yorkshire puds, and the veg is to die for. I will Definitely become a regular.

Long overdue review for the fantastic food and staff at bulan burger in Seaham marina. Have eaten here a number of times with family, friends and alone and can not recommend it highly enough. The food is always beautiful (I love the dirty burger and the Angus dog). The service is 1st class and Anita and Mark are so accommodating for any special requests. If you're in the area u need to pop in and give them a try

Located in seaham's marina, this "little" burger place as probably been the best one I've visit in a LOOONG time !

We popped in here for a quick bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised, it's small inside and you get the feel of a little quaint beach shack, lovely music playing in the background.

The Bulan is a tiny burger bar on the harbour front in Seaham. This is a family run burger joint as you couldn't get anyone else behind the counter! However, do not be fooled by the size of Bulan. The choice of burgers is decent with some really tasty options including peanut butter, chorizo and Hippie Sauce burgers. There are plenty of more options on the menu, but its burgers all the way for me. Superb milkshakes seal the deal.

The burgers are all hand made there are gluten free options and it's dog friendly if you take you pet along.

Bulan Burger is a lovely family run place where you definitely get looked after! Amazing tasty high quality food made fresh with lots of love! Very reasonably priced menu and a very cosy atmosphere! We fell in love with this place! Dog-friendly and the owners are sweethearts!

Tried this coffee shop as it was a bit windy at my normal coffee shop. Pleasant staff. Coffee OK and much cheaper than others in the area. Didn't try the food but the menu look ok.

I have celiac disease, and was able to have a gluten-free bun on my burger. The owner was so kind - she went out of her way to reassure me about cross-contamination. The burger was delicious, and my husband loved his (regular one) as well. Will visit here again!

Popped in for first time on Thursday, rest of family had been before but I'm not a burger lover. Really enjoyed in had the chicken with chorizo even changed the sauce to bbq for me. Good value too will certainly be back

Fab food, great service. Right on the harbour..would highly recommend the hippy chick burger . Ideal for when you've been for a walk along the sea front and fancy a bite to eat.
