As a modern city wedding photographer, I absolutely love shooting weddings at Trinity Buoy Wharf, it's such a dynamic and quirky space. Being right on the Thames means your guests can arrive by boat, which for many cities in the UK is a pretty unique form of wedding day transport. Having 2 separate spaces for the ceremony and the reception means each area can be set up ready for each part of the day without any rearranging or turn around. Having the bar right in the center is perfect for the evening party, as guests don't have to go too far for drinks when they're enjoying the dancefloor. The space is large enough for a stage so it's perfect for weddings that want a large DJ set up or a band and the large disco ball creates a brilliant effect for the first dance. I love taking my couples around the industrial area for photos, including the lighthouse and right beside the Thames after dark. The lights across the river make a beautiful backdrop in the evening. As a supplier, I am particularly happy with the new inclusion of a green room, where my last couple left us some lunch boxes, sweets and drinks to snack on through the day, but the organisers and caterers at TBW are also really awesome and have always fed me well during the wedding breakfast. The security are also good guys, always up for a chat with me. It makes a big difference to me when the people at a wedding venue are friendly and helpful.
No recomendaría
I made the mistake of ordering the large mix grill for £50. It’s not worth it at all. You get a breast worth of chicken, some lamb shish, and two small koftas made with low-quality meat. They’re charging this much while the food isn’t even made on a charcoal grill, instead, they use the grills you’d find in a chicken shop. How can you charge the same price as places like Efes but have lower-quality food and not even use a charcoal grill, it’s embarrassing. I’ve had better-grilled food from cheap kebab shops.
They advertise in their TikTok that they use a charcoal grill which is funny because they clearly don’t which is false advertising.
They do shawarma, which seems to be the more popular option. It could be good but I doubt I’d go back to try it. Take your “grill” items off the menu and focus on your shawarma. Don’t sell something you can’t do right. Even your Luqaimat, I believe, wasn’t made properly as the centre was hard.
When you open a restaurant, you are representing your country's cuisine. I doubt someone who has never had Syrian food would be willing to try it again after having your “grilled” food. Have pride in your food and make it to the best standard possible.
What can I say about this gem of a place that I discovered after working in Canary Wharf for three years having spent a lot of time and hard earn’t money at establishments that left me disappointed.
At the Salad Kitchen there are a lovely selection of healthy choices, making a salad box exciting, interesting and filling .
The prices are very reasonable and to top it all , the service is amazing from a team that greet you with a joy and enthusiasm that is a credit to them all .
I recommend this establishment to anyone who doesn’t want to waste their time and money at other eating places that will leave them disappointed.
La boloñesa de espagueti sabía como una comida lista que obtendrías de asda y la ensalada Ceser de pollo era absolutamente horrible que tenían un servicio increíble, pero la comida no era ella.
A most enjoyable experience on a beautiful afternoon. Great location and quite unusual eating on a barge. Service was excellent…personal, efficient and friendly. The food was delicious too, tasty and so refreshing to see a roasted monkfish on the menu and a caramelised shallot tart with all the trimmings, rather than just red meats. We will be back when next in London.
Despite specifically requesting them to not put the spicy mayo on my burger, it was absolutely doused in spring mayo so I couldn’t eat it. Not impressed, very easy request to follow.
