Well, I couldn’t believe it when a sugar craving hit and I thought I’d struggle to find a quiet place with unique/different sweet offerings (and not have to buy off a stall and eat in the throng of Spitalfields market) on a Saturday afternoon in the run up to Christmas but I struck it lucky with Butter believe it. It seems good things come in small packages (referring to the size of the shop rather than the portions!). Not “trendy” more emulating the quintessential English charming tea room their cakes, cake mush and cookies all looked incredible. You can even try the mush before you buy! Not being able to decide and getting their insider preferences I had a mush and a cookie so I could have half of each and take the rest away! The mush and the cake slices are well priced for the portions sizes but I think the cookie at £3.50 probably was a touch too much...but was worth it. The staff were lovely and despite it getting busier as I took my time over my goodies it still felt tranquil and nice place to escape the madness of the hoards outside!

Butter Believe It is my new favourite spot in Spitalfields. The ladies working there are so lovely. I tried the Peppermint white hot chocolate last weekend (they have a variety of milk substitutes also) and oh my gosh it was dreamy - I hope this is a permanent feature not just a festive edition! The cake mush is also amazing. What I would say is I would love to see some Vegan substitutes rolling out in the New Year, there is definitely a market for it. I love the ever-changing decoration to the signage outside and I definitely want to sign on to a cake class soon. Can't wait to visit again

Was looking for somewhere to stop for a quick coffee and cake but not wanting a large chain coffee house - this was ideal. Nice selection of cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Small cafe with limited seating but we were able to find a table for 4. Card payments accepted. Service a tad slow, but the shop was busy. Would certainly visit again.

Butter Believe It in Brushfield St make the most delish cakes that are so good they will make you cry with joy. The “whole cakes” would feed the entire office, whereas the “individual slices” of cake are enough to fill a half starving person all day. Tubs known as “Cake Mush” are a feast for one person. The cookies are amazing but feel quite expensive although they are a decent size and enough for sharing. You can eat in (eclectic drinks menu) or take away in smart boxes and carriers. It’s a fun place to visit and well worth going.

Pequeño y lindo lugar. Galletas increíbles pero los pasteles no son geniales. Probé algunos sabores diferentes, pero todos saben como si estuvieran hechos con aceite en lugar de mantequilla y tienen una textura espesa y densa.

Great tea and cake, £8.80 is more than I would expected to paid. Portion size was too big even for me being a big eater Maybe a smaller slice and charge a little less

Oh my sweet baby Jesus - the darkest moistest most delicious chocolatiest chocolate cake I’ve had in as long as I can remember. SO so good. Can’t wait to visit again.

Dropped by for a quick coffee and the cakes and biscuits looked very appealing to the extent that we ordered one of the latter. It was probably the best biscuit I have ever eaten and the coffees were delicious too. The lady running it and the young man alongside her were welcoming and charming and the decoration of the tiny room is such fun. This is a real gem.

Wandering around Spitalfields last Saturday morning , we were struggling to find an individual cafe until we walked into this one. It’s run by a lovely couple, Yazan and Haya, the latter a cordon bleu trained chef. Boy could you taste it in her cakes! Spoilt for choice we opted for the red wine cake, a mix Haya had made and it was THE BEST cake I’ve tasted in ages. Flavour was superb and butter was used which gave it the edge as well as making amazing icing. We had cappuccinos which were a perfect size, not like the scrawny little cups that cost £3+ in some cafes that leave you disappointed. Here was quality and quantity. All very reasonably priced with a cosy and beautiful fit, with cosy blankets on the chairs. A lovely couple who really deserve success. Just go and try Butter Believe It!

Amazing service and atmosphere. However, do not get the berry smoothie, it's basically a juice. Definitely get the mango smoothie instead. It was way better and super delicious. Honestly the berry smoothie should be rebranded as a juice. It was quite nice, but it just wasn't a smoothie. Hopefully this helps someone out.

The bartender was highly passionate, knowledgeable, and skilled. He removed all doubt as I placed my order. I knew I would be taken care of.

Some of the best homemade cakes, scones and afternoon tea I’ve had! Great hole in the wall place, come here often after the flower market on Sundays. You can tell the cakes are made with love, can’t recommend enough. Suggest going early because they will sell out!
