Nos encanta este hermoso pub viejo con su jardín grande y frondoso. Encantador gerente y equipo de bar siempre servicial a esta antigua pareja. Ambiente tranquilo pero animado en el interior, fútbol, bonita decoración. La próxima vez probaremos los pasteles.

A proper pub with great beer and friendly staff

I have been here a number of times over the years but not since before COVID. I was visiting the garden centre across the road and came for lunch. I am delighted to say it is still great and reasonably priced. I had a cheese, onion and mushroom omelette served with a freshly prepped side salad for a very competitive £6.45. The quality of the food was excellent and my cappuccino was very nice too.

we ordered takeaway from here and it is the worst curry we have ever had. the lamb didn’t taste like lamb, the rogan josh tasted like tinned tomatoes and every dish was so bland we had to load each of them with salt and pepper. the naan breads were stale and even the chutneys were tasteless. whilst it was cheap this was reflected in the low quality and not worth ordering. we all suffered with stomach issues afterwards.

Very little choice of food for people who don't eat meat.

Food ok but it’s the second time they’ve tried it on by adding food and drink onto the bill, first time we gave them benefit of the doubt but second time alarm bells, won’t go again, shame…

First Friday night takeaway from Mei's house for three of us. Kung po prawns, special chow mein, Singapore noodles and a portion of bbq ribs. All was good quality. The ribs were juicy and tender, the noodles were cooked just right. Maybe a few prawns in the Singapore noodles and chow mein would be better, but for £31 price was good. Take away was ready to pick up on the dot. Nice meal, thanks, will repeat!

Vine aquí el sábado 8 de marzo de 2025 por unas copas. . en el bar 2 personas frente a mí pidieron un montón de bebidas y la mujer del bar pidió el pago después de que ella sirvió bebidas, así que cuando me tocó a mí y btw im un scouser tuve que pagar antes de que ella sirvió una bebida. Volvió el 9 de marzo y lo mismo cuando pido una copa la misma mujer me pide dinero primero y todos los demás pagan después... ¿así que ahora juzgas a la gente cuando abren la boca?... la comida es buena pero necesita reciclarse en hospitalidad ya que tengo 20 años en mi haber... una forma asquerosa de tratarme con solo abrir la boca... no volverá y no recomendaré

Lovely family pub, food is always good, and perfect setting having the playground on the garden for little ones.

Nice pub with lots of space, comfy seating and a great outdoor area. I've been here for the pub quiz, which is well organised and a lot of fun. The food is great - good, classic pub, options and really well cooked. I think they've changed the menu recently. Everyone working there was friendly and the general atmosphere was positive.
