Beautiful old world style pub with extensive outside seating and comfortable restaurant with an extensive Thai menu. The pub is tastefully decorated with an old world charm. Today was decorated for St. Patrick's day and even mid afternoon it had a celebratory atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely return ...

Very unpleasant experience as we had a baby with us who didnt remain quiet and did cry towards the end, and 3 old men decided it was appropriate to use foul language to encourage us to leave as they 'dont come out to listen to this' I would have hoped that old, middle class men would set a better example.

Very good massamam curry - hunks of casserole esque tender beef. Pad Thai good - tamarind flavours as it is meant to be and not compensated with lashings of palm sugar like in most places. Starter platter unfortunately the let down, not terrible but not good either. Would come again and go straight to mains.

I have been coming here for a while every week or so for lunch menu; I’ve always enjoyed however every single time I order something with chicken I cannot eat it!! The taste and texture is so foul I cannot even swallow. It tastes like the cheapest possible peices of gone off frozen chicken to put it simply. I have mentioned it a few times but they have not acknowledged at all and I know I shouldn’t have gone back after first time I politely mentioned about the taste and visuals of the chicken. To conclude I went back to get an afternoon lunch menu firstly we waited around 10/15 for someone to take our order AFTER leaving the table to go and find someone to come and take our order I found her sitting at a table. Normally they take our drinks order at the same time as food at the table but today she said no go up to the bar and order and walked away ( nearly 5 years weekly customers never been asked to do this ) Anyway, once again I made the mistake of ordering Thai green curry with chicken, after the first bite of a peice of chicken I spat it out!!! I can’t express how disgusting it is and I can’t fathom how they have the cheek to serve it. The curry was tasteless and watery, such a shame. I did mention it once again very politely and discreetly at the end of the meal when I was paying so it did not cause a scene, I did not expect anything such as refund but maybe just an apology as I did not eat any of the curry, just rice. I showed them all the chicken and curry of course left in the bowl and told them about the chicken, she stared at me for about 6 seconds and said can’t you choose something else next time like beef or prawn. No apology, empathy or customer service skills whatsoever. My mum whom I was with and witnessed this was also a very loyal regular customer and we have agreed we would never return after this. On the other hand the lady behind the car in the pub area was so sweet and friendly. Made such a difference to the other end of the pub in the Thai restaurant.

I've been coming here for years, honestly one of the best thai places around. The atmosphere is great. It's a thai restaurant at the back of a pub. You can sit in the pub or garden for a mixture of the two or sit in the designated restaurant area. The staff are really accommodating with the food. They will make sure that something is Gluten Free, vegetarian or if you want something less spicy they will tone down the spice level. The food is also really tasty and reasonably priced.

¿Sonrisas? No hay oportunidad. ¿Recomendaciones? No me hagas reír. Vete a casa.

Thai pub food does not get better than the PA. Ok so I was there on a quiet Sunday but the food just zings. Went for the shared platter for 2 as a starter; wow it popped. Prawn toast that tasted of actual seafood! Spring rolls so crispy and oh so succulent chicken. I was boring & went for the green chicken curry with a shared bowl of coconut rice (you do not need one each). Great spice levels, homely and the sticky rice was fab. £35 for starter, main and a pint. I’d only ever been here boozing after rugby, too many years wasted not eating here! Oh, and the team looking after me were fab. Great service. For the food alone this is worth a visit any day.

Literally this pub serves the best Thai food ever!! Been coming here for years even after moving to Devon Their prices have gone way up but so has everything in life and to be honest the food is so worth it. The only complaint I have is we had booked an early table 5.15-7.15 We did not want to sit down and eat until 6 and I let them know we were just outside having a drink. The lady who I spoke to was very rude rolling her eyes saying we must sit down now .. (the place was absolutely empty) Then she sat us down in the worst seat ever .. right in the middle with no one else in the whole restaurant.. I asked to move to the side table and again got the look of annoyance and was told she would have to change the entire seating plan for the whole night if we moved to that table We did move anyway And was out the restaurant before anyone had come in still So that’s why I gave four stars .. customer service was bad but based on food 5 stars all the way!!!

The food is not that authentic, tried to order grapao rice but was told that the meat is not minced as is done in Thailand but sliced and they cannot do a fried egg on top as is also done in Thailand. The waitress said that the chefs do not have time to fry the egg during busy times which did not make send at all since it was not busy and surely frying a egg takes no longer than cooking any other dish.

Right. The food here is amazing. So fresh, full of flavour and delicious. The staff were fab. We wanted to take our time and have a relaxing Sunday afternoon meal. They let us order course by course rather than ordering everything at once. The cocktails too, were great. I had the house one and it was delicious. Unfortunately, some of the clientele let this place down. First, we had a table with an extended family behind us. They had obviously been in the pub a while and the children were getting bored and restless - which isn't the children's fault. They were running around the pub, almost colliding with waiting staff on several occasions. One child decided it would be fun to run at the back of the bench seat we were sitting on and crash into it. All the adults in the group did was to threaten to leave for about an hour. Finally they left, thank goodness! Then arrived a very loud, crass man who only seemed to be able to speak at shouting level. At no point did any of the staff or management speak to any of these customers, and considering we were in the 'restaurant' section of the pub, you would have thought they would want their diners to have a better experience. My advice would be, definitely order takeaway.

Thai food is supposed to be an explosion of flavours. Whilst I was really excited about this place, I left feeling underwhelmed. Satay chicken was bland, and the peanut sauce was refrigerator cold. Salt and pepper squid was 90% batter, 10% squid Sizzling tiger steak was ok, but absolutely nothing special and a bit under seasoned. Pad kra pow was not authentic - meat wasn’t minced, too saucy, no fried egg. Overall we left rating this a 6/10 at a push The food isn’t “bad” by any means, it’s just so far from the quality of many other Thai restaurants

I have never come across this additional charge before. Thank you for clarifying the pricing during rugby days. All the best. The behavior of the restaurant staff is extremely unpleasant and not professional as it used to. The staff lacked attentiveness when taking our order, and despite ordering two portions, we only received one. Additionally they charged an extra pound for each side order of chillies, which is completely unacceptable as i asked on thie side rather inside the dish. The chillies are included in the meal. Furthermore, previously when I requested mild spice levels, the food turned out to be excessively spicy.

We went here for a Valentine’s meal as we get Thai food every year. Since my partner has moved to London, we asked for recommendations for somewhere new. The food did not disappoint, the vegan pad thai was delicious and spot on – not to mention the fact it was brought to our table in no time at all. What let down my overall experience was the fact I had clearly asked – and pointed to on the menu – for a non-alcoholic cider. My order was also spoken back to me. After I finished my meal, I had this odd feeling to check the bottle and, to my dismay, saw it was the alcoholic version. I hadn’t drank alcohol in 6 months as I can’t on my medication so this was incredibly disappointing and ruined the night for me. Hopefully this mistake will mean they’ll check in the future.

My pad Thai was very nice and not oily at all. The crispy rolls as startes were also nice and again, not oily at all. I will come back and I would recommend it. We went on Sunday afternoon which was not busy but I guess it is best to book. We had to vacate our table as it was apparently booked for another guest even when the place was empty. This is why I gave 4 starts as we felt that they wanted to get rid of us at the end. We spent £25 for main courses, 2 pints, starter and 2 teas.

This is a lovely pub with brilliantly trained staff. The problem it has is that it seems to be the preferred pub for the local coke head loud mouth dickhe@ds. You don't want to see large groups of lads marching on mass to the gents for their next snort of marching powder and then when you walk in see them all scuttle off into the single cubicle for a snort. There are families with kids having meals in the restaurant. This pub needs to decide whether it's a family pub or the sink pub for those whose behaviour wouldn't be tolerated in any of the near alternatives. It can't be both.

Lovely pub with great outdoor space and tasty Thai food. Not a cheap place but the quality is reflected in the price. Brilliant vegan options.

When I came in my family, we were basically ignored by staff members. When we finally got seated we ordered food which came out slightly cold. The rest of my family thought the food was okay but in general the experience was mediocre. Definitely not what it used to be, can’t say I’ll be coming back.

Really lovely Thai food. The creamy coconut rice goes sooo well with the flamey stir-fry and flavoursome curry, yum

Arrived at 9pm, had great dinner (steak) at Thai restaurant, then got told to move to the outside area of the Prince Albert. Had a drink then had to move inside. Then had to move inside. Make sure you go long before 9pm

Aesthetically very nice. Average taste, considering that we are in London we can say that it is slightly above average. The price compared to Italy is a nightmare. I recommend removing the panettone from the window, after two and a half months from Christmas it is better for them to disappear, also because they are about to expire.

Sorry to be writing this review as the establishment was good and the staff were fantastic. The food on the other hand, we had 6 roast dinners come out cold and over cooked! Sent back and again the staff deliver very well, but just so disappointing! I’d honestly never serve anyone cold food as a cook myself! Just don’t eat at this pub and you’ll have a great time!
