One of the actual local pubs that isn’t owned or managed by a big corporation. Authentic British pints served with really good Thai food! Managed to watch a rock band there which was very fun

Great pub, excellent food and comfortable rooms in an perfect location close to the heart of Richmond. The Cambodian/Thai menu is fantastic and a welcome change from standard pub fare. A great pub for local and visitors and my go to destination when I visit Richmond

I took a picture of this piece in the bathroom; I just thought it was very unique and cool but this pub has more to offer than just this (I just didnt took more pics). The service was quick and friendly: the guy with the mustache who served me booked a table within 15 minutes when I called. There were six of us and the location was nice with good prices too! The food was great; I had the special house rice and it was very good combo to have with a beer. I didn’t bring my dog, but I saw a few so it's great to know that it's pet-friendly. Definitely, I’ll visit next time I am in Richmond.

Super friendly pub which seems to be popular amongst the local community. They have concerts and the place is buzzing on weekends. Welcoming staff, good food, good beers and drinks. Off the beaten track but close to everything in Richmond, the Red Cow is definitely worth a visit (or more…) 👌

I have been here with friends, family and large work do's and it has been excellent each time. The bar staff are very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere has always been very warm and inviting. My favourite take from this pub is however the amazing food. The Cambodian specials they serve are out of this world and a rarity in Richmond if not the whole of London.

Red Cow delivered what we expected and so much more! Steve & his staff run a quaint little pub and inn amazingly well. They took great care of us with very pleasant welcoming personalities. Great atmosphere inside & out. Rooms were small but enough for us on our stay. The pub was full of locals, nice place to enjoy a pint or two (great beer choices). Their restaurant Heng Heng offered food that was an usual choice for us, Cambodian, but it was delicious! Conveniently located in the lovely town of Richmond.

Visited for lunch with friends. Great food and the cook that day went all out to please. Authentic Khmer food was served. Service from behind the bar was comfortingly attentive too.

Booked a table here for 4 people to watch both six nations games with food. Turned up and the table they gave us only sat 2 people. Bar staff seemed uninterested to help. Shocking service. Avoid at all costs.

The food menu is new. The order was from the lunch menu. Soup (Tom yum with chicken) was a separate item from the rice dish. Soup take fine, strong enough flavour and plenty of meat inside 👍. The rice dish is from the lunch menu. A fried egg and spring roll were inclusive but these two items were absent and had to be reordered twice one after the other. The quality is fine. Just make sure the kitchen staffs served you the items fully.

Absolutley the best cozy place to stay

Much like my Exes I leave this establishment feeling terrible the next day however I can’t stop going back. When I walk into this establishment I see a montage of happy evenings made a blur by the solid pints enjoyed with friends and locals. The Red Cow fills me with more than just spirits but happiness and warmth. In a time of desperate need of a helping hand upon a Sunday I ventured past the pints and opted for a roast. And boy did it deliver. Great value for money for an outstanding roast, is there anything more you could want in your local pub? I think not

Good pub, decent beer, nice outside area, food not bad.

Though the staff are very friendly, and the pub food is very nice (paid for separately) we would not recommend the rooms to stay in (based on our room). Room badly in need of being modernised - poor decoration, dated furniture, no view from window (faced a brick wall), fridge in wardrobe, lukewarm water in shower - and was expensive (£271 for two nights). We left after the first night.

Left the hotel on a Monday and powered up tripadvisor on the mobile to look for a place to get a good beer and some pub food. Hey wait, why has the place just 50m away more stars than the places i know in Richmond center for years now? Let's give it a try. No one sitting outside, i handfull of locals at the bar (which is always a good sign) but the reason we stayed for the night and the next two as well was because once we entered (and had no clue which beer is local, we like, etc...) it was not the typical questions and answer game. What do you have, how does it taste. We were given beer tasters of every beer we wanted to try and quickly found the beer. If I remember correctly, kitchen open 5:30pm and we went for the finger food. Never had such spicy chicken wings outside of a chinese restaurant in China (for Europeans it is just bodily harm) and not to mention the Mac-Cheese-Fries the Humus or the other deep fried finger food. That day it was PL football, so we grabbed the chance to order our fish and chips before the game started. This was the best fish and chips i had in England since 25 years and could compare to the one i had next to the motorway to wolverhampton wrapped in two pages of the daily newspaper. Service is great, food and beer is awesome and you are still surrounded by locale people. Great place to come back to.

We had a wonderful two night stay at The Red Cow. The room was lovely and the bed very comfy. The food is also fantastic, we got to experience half price burgers but also I'm a huge fan of their hot wings. The staff are really friendly too which makes all the difference. Would definitely recommend this pub and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for one night as were popping into town for the night and didn’t want to go home afterwards; my friend had to get to Teddington for work, so was ideally placed. Parking is offered in the side roads for £5.30 - you have to go to the bar and give your reg number. Be careful; one of us stayed with the car while we did this and spoke to a traffic warden who wanted to know where our permit was. We had lunch at the pub - well priced and really really tasty! About a 5-8 min walk from the station which is ideal. The room itself was very small - reminiscent of a New York hotel room I once stayed in; comfy beds, lovely pillows, biscuits and coffee etc provided. Beer delivery came early but we were awake anyway for my friend to go to work. I stayed longer and had a really good shower - very powerful. Young girl behind the bar was helpful & friendly - our room had been made as a double and she quickly turned it into the twin that we had requested. I’d probably stay again! I’d definitely eat there again!

Great Sunday roast - beef was lovely, friends had the lamb which was excellent. Good wine list too. Very friendly and helpful bar-staff too.

A nice clean and bright pub not far from Richmond town center & train station .. With a nice select Sunday menu available , the smells were very appetising , sadly I had other arrangements ! With six real pumps on the go including Young’s brews , what’s not to like about this pub ..

We visited this pub about four times over our stay in Richmond. We were here for the Army/Navy Rugby game at Twickenham, the pub was lively and really busy, the staff coped with it all with ease. Lovely, well kept beers, a nice ambiance and very nice outdoor seating area and nice food. The landlord was very friendly as was his staff. A great place to eat and drink!

Great place - every time I am in the area I go here - reasonably priced and quality home made food, great beers and a pub quiz every so often - well worth a look if you are nearby.

Visiting Richmond for the weekend we came across this friendly place for lunch. The staff behind the bar couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Great pizza and burgers there and some good beers on tap too. Atmosphere was great and we decided to visit it again later for drinks. If your ever going by it, well worth a stop.

A real pub, serving good food (limited selection) and ales, with a strong focus on sports (multiple TVs). We visited on pizza night which wouldn't have been our first choice but glad we went for it: all the pizzas are made fresh and are delicious. An added bonus for me: they serve St. Austell ale (I used to live in Cornwall so this was a welcome taste of bygone days). BTW no-one knew how the pub got its name.

Good decor inside and selection of beers. Friendly staff and jovial atmosphere. Plenty of screens for sport as well. Recommend.

A great local. Welcomes sports fans. Good food (though it's not a fooody pub) and tasty bar snacks. Good ales on tap (it's a Youngs house) and a good selection of beers wines and spirits otherwise. Staff are generally pleasant and efficient and Tom the publican know his customers and his trade.

Second outing to the red cow on the 18th of March 2017 for the rugby. Kitchen closed between 2pm and 6pm. Bought sausage rolls and scotch eggs but on very limited quantities. Bought two coffees which were made using instant coffee for £2.30 each, bit pricey don't you think. Kitchen had no milk at this time. You hear that? A pub, which is also a mini hotel, has no milk. Been buying rounds of gin and tonics. First round served in high cocktail glasses, fair play. Second round served in high ball glasses but given one less tonic. What is that about? From my first outing here the 2nd has been drastically worse. Don't think I'll be coming here again.

I really enjoyed this pub. Old fashioned with hospitable staff. the menu isn't adventurous but the food was good.
