Popped in on way to watch the Premiership Rugby Final. Its a smallish venue, tight on space. Obviously not allowed to spill out onto pavement so crammed into small standing space. We just stopped for drinks so can't comment on food. It was busy and the sound system was too loud, so patrons have to shout to be heard. Suggest tone down the music, remove the charity doughnut stall and oversized hot dog stall. Despite this, it was well attended and staff were friendly and efficient.

A client recommended the Scrummery, and it was a fantastic experience. It's so close to the stadium. A Twickenham rugby institution. We went for their pre-match hospitality. I ordered the Duck Breast which was cooked to perfection while my colleagues tried the Steak and Ale Pie – both dishes were great. The £25 cheese board was massive and a standout treat and easily fed our group of five. For a lively atmosphere, sit in the Scrum House. You can keep your table all day as they do only one seating. The post-match surprise was a real treat – we enjoyed a bottle of port, meze platters, charcuterie, shots, and customised mini bottles of Jäger from the owners. To be honest it’s all you really want for match day hospitality. Just a heads up, you'll need to book well in advance for match days, as they're always packed, we booked two months in advance. But trust me, it's worth it.

My son and I popped in prior to going to see the Big Game Quinns vs Chiefs. We brought our drinks and my son knocked his drink over. A member of staff assisted with paper towels whilst surrounding patrons also rugby fans duely mocked my lad. His drink was swiftly replaced and we were given a free Yager shot on the way out. Warmed us up and got us in the mood. Nice place nice atmosphere 👌

The Scrummery is a Twickenham Rugby Institution. More iconic than we could have ever imagined. We made three bookings in November for the Autumn Internationals. They do one seating during Rugby days and once you’re seated you have access to that table throughout the day with table service drinks and grazing boards post match. The set menu was great and their portions are substantial, pre ordering is required. We all ordered the pies which were fab, the sticky Toffee Pudding was incredible. What truly sets this place apart is their secret back room called “The Scrum House” which is reserved exclusively for dine in guests. It’s an Alpine Style Chalet with heating throughout dressed with Rugby history. From the outside you can’t imagine a back room that could literally seat 80+ people. Post-Match the place is transformed into a big party whilst The Scrum House remains private. Forgot to mention the best part is it’s literally minutes away from the Twickenham Stadium. We absolutely love The Scrummery and it was the ideal place to entertain our clients. We have made bookings for the Six Nations and can’t wait to enjoy your hospitality and your huge cheese boards! See you guys soon!

Sadly the three previous reviews below are 100% accurate. Apparently recently taken over and I suspect this was their first attempt at "Match Day" catering, It was awful and they were obviously totally unprepared and utterly overwhelmed, In the absence of capable Management, food was either (very) slow or simply didn't arrive and they simply defaulted to "on its way soon" (It wasn't!) Like others we had pre-booked and paid deposits sometime ago - and we arrived at 11:30 - but the main course eventually arrived lukewarm and the desserts simply never came (despite repeated polite requests). It was obvious many other tables were experiencing the same. In the end we simply told them we were leaving as otherwise we would miss kick off. So, absolutely "AVOID" and "NOT RECOMMENDED"

An absolute disgrace. Booked and reserved a table for 12.00 hrs when we left to watch the rugby match at 13.45 we had not received any food that we had ordered. Stone cold sausage and mash delivered to our table, which we left. The waitresses had no idea who had ordered what meals and the chef apparently would not cook any more food until the waiting meals had been delivered. The management must take total blame for this fiasco. My first visit to this restaurant and my last. Avoid at all cost.

Absolutely unforgivable We booked a match day table a month ago with a time, we arrived on time waited over an hour with no sight of food, as well as 5-6 tables with the same problem near us. We complained multiple times and eventually they told us why it was taking so long and the excuse was they were confused on how to serve people, the owners are greedy and did not give enough time or support to the staff waiting or in the kitchen. It was mine and my grandads first and last experience of this place. They eventually sent food out which was the wrong order and was completely cold. Do not give this place a single penny.

Badly organised. Zero system of lining up. I expect things to be hectic on a huge match day but crikey. Also the staff in general across all twickenham food and bar stalls that I observed were acting like they were having casual chats with friends and walking at the pace of turtles. I don't expect anyone to over work and stress...but a bit of motivation would be great! I hate giving bad reviews but this one was necessary. Get your organisation act together twickenham!!! We stopped in here on our way to a match at Twickenham, the staff were friendly and we even managed to find a seat! in the queue for the loo the landlady was a little rude until I pointed out the group I was with which had visited the bar, I guess they don't want people nipping in to use facilities without buying anything but there's nicer ways to check! there is also only 1 loo in here which gets very messy very quickly!!! overall a nice atmosphere but that's probably more down to like minded sports fans.

Initially stopped here to get a pulled pork roll on the way to the ground. As it was raining we sat inside to eat it (amazing relish) and washed it down with a beer admiring the memorabilia on the walls and talking to the amazingly passionate Karen who quite clearly loves her job and the clientele in the place. She explained that she serves up sausages and mash on match days but you must book a table in advance. Definitely will do this next time at Twickenham. If you want to sit down and have a nice lunch before an international rugby match at HQ this is definitely the place to do it. However, you will have to plan ahead because space is limited and the cognoscenti will have booked all the tables long before you, so don't just turn up. Food is good and simple fare but freshly cooked and served with jollity and ribaldry. The walls are covered in rugby memorabilia.Outside it will be heaving as a sea of fans surge up the road, just 5 minutes walk from the ground. On match days there is an 'outside dining' option; where a giant grill operates all day, serving sausages, bacon or pulled pork in giant chunks of bread. There are excellent home made condiments, sauces and cole slaw. The pulled pork is especially good. Here you can stand munching and guzzling beer, people-watching and listening to rugby-oriented conversations for as long as you like. Great atmosphere to get you in the mood for the game!
