Good restaurant but greedy with their pricing. My son took me to celebrate Mother’s Day. He had read good reviews and it was convenient for us. When we got there we were told that as it was a Rugby day at Twickenham only a set 3 course menu was available £49.50 without drinks. Their normal menu was about 2/3 of this. The staff insisted my son had been informed of the price hike but he hadn’t and we would not have gone at such inflated prices. I asked if I could have 2 courses only for less ££££ but was told the price was fixed and so not possible - so we each took our tiramisu home in a plastic box. Very disappointed as the food was oK but nothing special and we felt exploited. Such a shame as we would have gone again if the prices had been reasonable

I appreciate that someone hadn't turned up but that doesn't excuse such poor service as you kept letting in more and more guests and service got slower and slower. We were going to stay on for desserts and coffee to make an evening of it but in the end we just cut our losses after the mains and we will look to have another birthday meal somewhere else next week. It was a bit of a cheek to see a service charge added but I wasn't going to make a scene at a birthday meal. Perhaps we were unlucky but we won't be back.

An absolute neighbourhood gem, find myself missing it enormously if it’s ever closed. Delicious, healthy food, the owners are lovely, always create a warm, friendly atmosphere. The desserts are top-notch and varied. Also a great playlist.

We had a fantastic pre-new year dinner. Such a great eve. I had fillet steak and I don’t think I’ve ever had better. Happy New Year

I have been in this restaurant three times now, the food and the service were simply fantastic! The dish I like the most is Seafood Linguine. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Simply stunning food, great atmosphere and amazing service. The seafood is truly where the food excells, with fresh, high quality calamari and mussels and the best seafood linguine you will find in town. The relaxing atmosphere and extremely comfortable seats really do contribute to a top-notch dining experience. If you are seeking top quality Italian food then Vesuvio will definitely have you covered!

This is one of the best Italian places I’ve been to.. no doubt. The food is always seasoned so beautifully, staff are one of the friendliest I’ve come across, the service is amazing and the atmosphere is so cosy and friendly, but high-class at the same time. I found this place a month ago and have been back at least twice a week, I can’t resist! Absolutely in love with every part of this restaurant. The tomato bruschetta is my favourite starter - it’s got probably the best seasoned tomatoes I’ve ever tasted.. and for the main I usually get the seafood linguine, which I literally crave at random points in the day. 100% I recommend this place to anyone for any occasion, you will not be disappointed I promise!

What a delightful little restaurant. Despite turning up rather late in the evening, and on a mobility scooter, the proprietor welcomed me with open arms. Oh what a refreshing change from the usual "fill their belly,grab their money and fling 'em out" attitude so common in central Twickenham. I thoroughly teccommend this establishment.

Drove by vesuvius restaurant ..liked the look so decide to give it a go...oh and what a little find that was....every course was clean well executed and tasty...the staff are great ...prices reasonable..all round lovely place to eat...would definitely recommend a visit .

An excellent restaurant with a fairly small menu (always a good sign, as it means the food is more likely to be freshly prepared and cooked). The quality and presentation of the food was excellent and we enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine. The service was also very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Four of us eat here after hearing people on the R70 raving about it. From a welcoming greeting right through to a Limoncello end to our evening we only had positive things to say. We had homemade focaccia and olives free to nibble on, delicious starters, tasty pasta and amazing homemade tiramisu and Panna cotta and with lovely house red wine. Will definitely be back soon

Had dinner here this evening with my daughter and son for my daughter’s 16th. Warm reception and decor followed by fabulous food and service. The complimentary focaccia and olives would probably cost you £7-8 in other restaurants and apparently was the best bread they’d tasted. I had a caprese salad which was delicious, followed by sea bass served with roasted potatoes and salad which was all excellent. The children both had pasta - arrabbiata and bolognaise…both delicious. One mango sorbet later and we were all done…things to do, places to go and all that (I.e. catching up with friends online). Definitely will be back. Great to finally try this newish neighbourhood restaurant after reading such great reviews.

This place is a hidden gem! Such friendly staff, they even made me a dish I wanted that wasn’t on the menu! The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning.

This place is amazing! We went here for my daughters birthday and we even got a birthday song and candle on tiramisu! The food is amazing and we tried a lot of things of the menu- it was perfect! We had the opportunity to go with our two little ones and we loved the food, freshly made, tasty, clean and awesome customer service. Highly recommended it if you are Italian good lover or even if you are not!!! Haha

The food was AMAZING!!! I ordered the seafood linguini, and it was everything I could want. Being American, I wanted to eat two portions lol, but was very filled by the end. The owner, Ben, is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is so elegant and cozy. Definitely a must try!

I went for dinner with my niece. It was a great experience. The service was attentive but discreet. The decor is lovely together with a nice quiet ambience. The food? Excellent the mussels are divine, possibly the best I’ve had. Give it a try, the owners deserve it.

I'm absolutely delighted to have discovered this hidden treasure in our neighborhood! Ben, our host, went above and beyond to ensure we had a remarkable experience, and the cuisine was simply delicious. Our first visit to the restaurant left us so satisfied that we couldn't resist returning for a second time a few days later. Not only is the food outstanding, but they also offer a delightful array of wines. And let's not forget about their mouthwatering homemade desserts! I highly recommend checking this place out. We'll definitely be coming back here many more times.

Visited Vesuvio for the first time last weekend and it was fantastic. Lovely family run restaurant, staff are very attentive, friendly and great with recommendations! Food is fantastic, would recommend the seafood linguine and the tiramisu. Good portions, lovely people and excellent food.

Had a really tasty meal, starter main and dessert all very good and a decent compliment of wines available. Service was excellent and a warm atmosphere, comfortable seating with interesting decor too.

What a pleasant experience. We were greeted at the door and seated by the friendly "Ben" who anticipated our needs throughout the evening. Ben brought us some complimentary warm focaccia and olives to nibble on while we made our menu choices. The menu has a good balance of dishes and I quickly decided on my choices along with a bottle of Ramaro for the table; I have a soft spot for Sicilian red wine. All dishes were well plated and tasted as good as they looked. The portions were also very generous, perhaps "Mama" was in the kitchen dishing the plates. After the meal, there was little room left for dessert, so I shared a panna cotta with my wife; I have to say that it was the best I've ever tasted. My only regret is that I didn't choose one of the seafood dishes, they looked realy appetizing. My relationship with crustacions has always been one where no matter what precautions I take while shelling them, a jet of oil always squirts out and slashes me on my shirt. Perhaps next visit I'll wear on old shirt or a bib; perhaps both.

A very welcome. A meal before a game at Twickers. Small menu but very authentic, freshly cooked and superb tasting food. I had scampi tagliatelle which came with whole scampi and lovely pasta with amazing sauce and son and husband both had chicken saltimbocca, which was very fresh and tasty. The waiter/owner (?) then with complimentary Limoncello, a lovely surprise. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Went for the first time tonight as a spontaneous visit. Super friendly, nothing too much trouble. Spotless!! Food was so amazing, trying to remember last time I had food like that….. worried now everyone will find it and we won’t get in! Seriously though, give it a go you won’t regret it. And it’s step free!!!!!

We tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday and we were so pleased we did! The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully with its own bar with an excellent selection of wines and beers. The staff were impeccable and very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was top quality and they bought out complimentary freshly made foccia bread and olives which I thought was a nice touch. The seafood linguine was so tasty and the seafood was top quality. I would highly recommend

Went for my partners birthday meal and was extremely impressed. Every dish that we were served was delicious. Simple food done realy well with a lovely atmosphere. Easy to get to by bus as well right by Fulwell I highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality meal out.

Nice to have a true Italian restaurant not too far from home. Visited last Saturday, very nice, clean, friendly place. Not too busy and service was spot on. Food was good and right temperature - definitely just been cooked and not heated in some microwave. All in all a very good quiet meal. Wish there was more of an option on the menu which would make us go back on a more regular basis. Yes we will be back. Sorry no photos, but check their website for photos.

Excellent service, the food was amazing!!!! We ordered the calamari and steakes, everything was 10 out of 10. Ben served us and nothing was too much trouble, I will be coming here regularly. Do yourself a favour and try this local gem. Absolutely outstanding!!!!!

Fantastic new restaurant, with great quality Italian food, reasonable prices, and friendly customer service from start to finish. They brought us homemade focaccia to start, which was warm and fresh. Their bruschetta was also very flavourful, one of our favourite starters. For mains we ordered spaghetti bolognese, seafood linguine and tagliatelle with scampi and we finished every last bite. I especially loved the tagliatelle. I would also highly recommend saving room for dessert as their homemade tiramisu was divine! We had a very relaxed and enjoyable meal here and definitely wish to return in the future.

Delicious, proper Italian food with high-quality ingredients (as good as when we honeymooned in Italy). Highly recommend the seafood linguine. Fantastic wine selection. Vesuvio is a classy little restaurant with a warm welcome, friendly service and great food. The menu offers plenty of choice and if you go for the tagliatelle with scampi, you get whole scampi! The emphasis is on quality and attractive presentation. We had starters, then pasta dishes with a mixed salad on the side and it was all good. We'd happily eat here again.

34 yr old twickenham resident - love eating out at nice places, but usually have to venture out, so was really happy to see a 5 star restaurant open so up close by. Stunning service. Amazing food Great wines. Amazing value. Beautiful decor. Well spaced tables, which is something that is overlooked at even the top restaurants (proximity to strangers will ruin a night). Such a lovely night. Cant recommend enough.

Went here based on reviews and was really pleasantly rewarded. Service was exceptional, the burrata was really thoughtfully prepared and very fresh, and the scampi tagliatelle was great too. My partner had the seafood risotto, they understood exactly how she preferred it and adjusted to taste. We had to rush off after and they were really speedy and courteous with the bill too. Will come again

Becoming a regular place for us, lovely food, great staff who are always making you comfortable. Tactfully decorated to suit the name of the restaurant, to good to ignore and conveniently on the 281 bus route if you fancy a drink.

Had a great meal with excellent service . This is a really comfortable small restaurant serving excellent freshly cooked and tasty food. The wine was also excellent and the extra touches such as the home made focaccia and olives make for a really satisfying experience. We were made to feel so welcome cannot recommend highly enough.

Ambiance - relaxed and cosy Appearance - very clean and pretty restaurant Food - Very tasty. We ordered seafood linguine and risotto and they are perfect, by far the best seafood linguine I have tasted. The panna cotta was so nice and beautifully presented. We were offered freshly baked Focaccia and olives, it was addictive. The calamari was fresh and tasty too. Service - Excellent service. Very friendly owner/host. This is a proper restaurant that knows what they are doing. He did not make us wait for our food. He offered us something to eat, complimentary, while waiting for our order which you won't have nowadays in so many restaurants. It's fairly new but I hope that they stay open for a very long time and the service will still be the same. Overall, our experience in here is something that we haven't experienced in a long time. We have been to different restaurants, and they are mostly lacking in good service at least, but this place is just different. You won't regret it. We will keep this restaurant on top of our list and we will come back for sure.

I had such a lovely valentine's meal at Vesuvio's. Thank you so much for making such an effort to make everything so relaxing and being so attentive. Such good service and my steak was cooked perfectly with a great grill mark char to it also such a good size for the price for a ribeye steak! Must visit! Food was delicious, great portions and fantastic service.

Vesuvio's did not disappoint us for our Valentines meal. Great portion sizes and excellent friendly service with a smile. I had the bruschetta to start which was so good, the balance of the garlic and dressing with the sharpness of the tomatoes was perfect. For mains I wanted the seafood risotto which wasn't on the special valentines menu but they were so accommodating and said they would give me it anyway and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and perfectly emulsified making it decadent and creamy also very generous with the seafood. For dessert I had Tiramisu, again proper nice and creamy. Lovely soft biscuits soaked in coffee that tasted so clean, cold and fresh. We will be coming back 100% Keep it up Vesuvio's you're doing such a good job at creating an amazing, relaxing atmosphere.

Genuinely fabulous. My wife found this place in a Google search as we wanted somewhere different, and she nailed it. A family run business with great food and good service, for once the reviews are accurate! Especially about the decor, it’s very modern and feels cool but homely. The food was excellent. The seasoning was spot on and the portion sizes - well I’m full without being stuffed, which feels pretty good. We were even given a coffee on the house. It’s well worth with a visit. My 8 year old actually asked to go back next week, which I’m fairly sure we will. If you’re in doubt, just go - you won’t be disappointed.

Everything about this place was perfect. The food was amazing, excellent quality and beautifully cooked. Totally recommend this restaurant, we will definitely be back.

A remarkable experience from the moment I walked in until departure. This is how a local family restaurant should be done! The decor is beautiful, amazingly classy, comfortable seating (they are beautiful walnut sofas for one!) and delightful decor and surroundings. The menu covers all areas you could possibly desire but reassuringly concise. The wine list is an enviable selection to match the food and clearly thoughtfully chosen by someone who knows what they are doing. I ordered the seabass which was unbelievable value for money and one of the best meals I've had away from home in a very long time. There is a warmth and attention to detail here rarely found these days, and clearly the owners care deeply about what they are delivering. The service was nothing less than impeccable. Unintrusive but always at hand, obviously keen to impress. I would urge anyone to try Vesuvio, and cannot believe you'd be anyting less than surprised and delighted throughout. As I understand it this is a relatively new restaurant but if they can sustain the high standards I experienced tonight, their success is guaranteed I'm sure. I cannot wait to return. Faultless 👌

Driven past Vesuvio a few times and thought about paying them a visit. Did so today - absolutely brilliant - service, food, decor, everything was first class. Will definitely be back again. A real gem.
