Attentive staff catered to allergies by offering a special menu for one of our guests, and we were offered a goldilocks sized table to seat 5 adults, a toddler and an infant in a small buggy comfortably (something that can be a challenge in london). The restaurant space is quite noisy, which is the only reason we knocked 1 star off, as it was challenging to have conversations, although I'm not sure how this can be improved, other than more sound insulation.

I have to say I seriously don’t understand why this lovely take away resturant has 3.7 star rating. The best best besttttttt in the town. Ive been getting takeaways alot recently from here and the taste the portions and mostly the prices are so good for what you get, just so much quality and each time its consistent and lovely’s staff.

The food was unique, tasty and very well presented but this is a sharing plates restaurant therefore the plates need to be of sufficient size to actually share and in quite a few cases they really aren’t. Shockingly so. We were all hungry after the recommended number of plates and ended up consuming more bread as a result. The ‘cheese’ was a teeny, tiny slice of goats cheese for £8. We genuinely queried if that was it - the waitress acknowledged it was and apologised. The gnocchi was lovely, as were the cod, the leeks and fig dishes. The desserts were all very nice. Very few of the more common drinks are available, the wine is very expensive and the non-alcoholic options are unusual but not necessarily in a good way. One drink smelt like leachate from my compost bin. It depends what you’re looking for but I probably wouldn’t go back. Overall pleasant but not particularly satisfying and overpriced.

I had a delightful experience at the restaurant today. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure that every detail of my dining experience was taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious; each dish was prepared with great care and attention to flavor. I especially loved the tender and flavorful meat that I ordered. Overall, it was a fantastic experience yes I will visit again soon!

Awful food and the wines isn’t that good, overpriced- can’t cook potatoes and take themselves too seriously. Go somewhere else.

This morning I bought a loaf of white sourdough bread. Came back home for lunch to discover that the loaf is at least 3 days old.(Sourdough has a shelf life of 5 to 7 days). Came back to the shop after one hour to bring them back the old loaf and they insisted (rudely) that was freshly baked this morning. After 5 minute of discussion trying to explain that the bread is clearly old (the crust is softer than the inside!) the lady that served my said (but, at least, is the taste good?), ?!?!? I didn't came back to ask my money back (which considering the price of the loaf 6£ would have been good!) but after waiting the line in the cold to buy a 6£ loaf, go home and find out that is not fresh, go back to complain in the cold, the least you can expect is a bit of understanding! RUDE STAFF, PRODUCT NOT FRESH, you can find better fresh bread anywhere else, avoid!

The (surprisingly large inside) restaurant was virtually empty late on a Friday evening, so you could well be lucky just turning up with the faff of booking. The service was totally amazing and the generosity totally reminded me of actually being in Italy (where we used to go at least twice a year). Free 'melon'cello was offered, they were super-generous with glasses of wine to taste. Memory says Donna Sofia closed in Covid and have only recently re-opened. The non-pizza food was interesting and felt like a 'meal out' rather than a warmed TV dinner, and there's a great pizza oven

I have also thought about writing this review as I really wanted our visit to be a good one. Sadly not. We went for a family Sunday lunch where we had booked for 7, the table we were given only sat 4 although the pub was empty we were not offered an alternative table. We ordered starters and Sunday roasts and all the food arrived at the same time. The Sunday menu is limited which is not an issue but when asking the waitress why the food was arriving at the same time she said she didn't realise that they were starters. We replied the starters are clearly marked on the menu she said no she didn't know. Really disappointing response. No deserts as they had run out of Ice cream, etc. The staff had zero interest in the customer experience. It's fine for mistakes to be made and things to run out but it's how the staff handle these things that can turn around a bad experience. The staff had no interest at all in the customers.
