The best pub in the world. Tbh I dont even go to arsenal for the match anymore, I just come to be enwrapped within the 4 beautiful walls of the Horatia. Lovely friendly doorman, easy to stay in this pub for a long time. Absolutely filthyyyy Guinness and baby Guinness

We got to the pub at 8.40 for our 8.30 reservation, knowing that there was a 15 minute grace period that was stated on our booking confirmation email. The bartender was so rude, told us we couldn't have a table, given we "wouldn't be 10minutes late for a flight". It was a reservation for 12 and there was plenty of empty tables that just needed to be rearranged to accommodate us. They were incredibly rude, unapologetic and unwilling to work with us. He made us feel really uncomfortable and it was a horrible start to our evening. He also talked about us to other customers which is very unprofessional. We definitely would not have stayed however we weren't left with much choice given the size of the group and it being a Friday. Out of pettiness he made a very obvious effort to avoid serving us despite us choosing to interact positively with him upon getting our table.

Decent enough pub on Holloway Road. Nothing special or remarkable but it's nice and open so there's room for groups. The toilets can be smelt across most of the pub however.

Just got charged £8 a pint! Absolutely criminal! This was a pale ale, craft beer, yes but nothing particularly fancy, high ABV nor small batch. Would never have paid that much if the price had been advertised. We're well outside of Central London so this is a shocking price! The barman said after there was nothing below the £7 mark on draft, so be warned! Other than that, a fairly nice large pub and fairly busy on a Thursday early evening. Another lovely pub just down the road has decent IPAs from £5.50.

Vast pub with good selection of beers and ales, nice decor in the front room, grandad's tv den in the back with beat up Chesterfields and 70s feel. Pizzas can be ordered in from down the street, otherwise no food served when we were there, but they do have a kitchen normally. Service excellent, though prices a bit higher than the local. TV in the back showing football, large screen in the front for events, there are regular pub quiz nights and the occasional band. On a busy night there's always room because of the size, but on a slow night they still manage to make it cozy. Only thing missing is a fireplace.

Went in post Arsenal. Quickly served and foozball table plus live sport. Good atmosphere but maybe because they'd won!

My local. Really good quality and selection of beers. Lovely, friendly staff - nothing is too much for them. Great to see frequently changing local and countrywide craft beers. And such a great atmosphere on match days!!

Do not go here. My bag got stolen from my table, when I reported it to the staff they said it was the third theft this week! The staff was super helpful but I will never be returning here again.

Classic spot, Arsenal pub good / busy on match day. Tables totally unsticky - underrated quality.

The actual pub is a nice venue, the drinks were good. Food is just a bit overpriced for what you get. Just some basic burgers like you'd get at Wendys or Maccies, for like £12, plus chips cost extra. Happy to pay that but was expecting a thick bun, well filled burger, but we all came away saying we were quite disappointing with it as all a bit flat and basic. (Didn't have the bao buns though, maybe they were nice!) Barman a bit hostile but maybe he was having a bad day! Overall a fine pub with decent atmosphere but they need to improve their food for the price.

Banging burgers, very reasonable prices, friendly service, cosy ambience and plenty of board games to keep you entertained! Couldn't really fault the place much, we really enjoyed our evening out. Came specifically for the Strictly Vinyl event on Fridays which wasn't anything too special though still a nice touch; ended up really loving the burgers - that bourbon sauce is something else! The patty was also perfect, especially when combined with a brioche burger bun... The only reason why I am giving The Horatia 4* is because of the cocktails - the 2for1 offer with Strictly Vinyl tickets seems to only include a list of spritz-based cocktails. We tried a couple of them and unfortunately both had this sort of bitter kind of aftertaste; much preferred a good old glass of wine instead. But then again it was 2 for £10.50 which is pretty cheap for London standards, so defo not complaining here. Would recommend the place to anyone, looking for a tasty meal in a pub setting with plenty of board games!

Food nice and affordable. Staff rude and unhelpful. Good selection of beers but only one cider on tap. Atmosphere good but very loud

A decent local. Big, so can normally get a table. Great selection of beer. Food depends on who they've got in the popup kitchen, but they've got a pretty good record at getting tasty but simple offerings in (Burgers, Bao, Tacos etc). Offers board games which is a good touch. Have cocktail menus, and negroni specials, but the staff seemed a bit unsure of how to make them. Shows sports on a big screen. Not a fancy joint, but the better for it.

Nice food. Service was poor (lack of experience and supervision?). Music in evening (DJ) was exceedingly loud and drove people who want to chat outside. 🙄

I was disappointed when we ordered our food at the bar and told the lady serving me that we were sat at table 22. After waiting quite a long time, around 20 minutes or so I approached her and told her we had been waiting a long time for our order which still hadn't arrived. She said she asked someone at table 22 and they said they hadn't ordered any food. I said that no one had asked us. She said the food is out the back waiting. Because it had been sat a while the food had gone almost cold, and of course I was disappointed about that. The point here is that table 22 is a large square table with 3 settees around it and it is not a table that is for just one party. When we were sat there it there was at least 3 parties or maybe 4. So she should have not only asked one party if the order was theirs, especially as it was her that served me at the bar. I find it hard to believe she didn't remember me or even occur to her to ask others that were sitting at table 22. This I found unprofessional and consequently our order was ruined and our hard earned cash wasted.

What a weird place. (1), asked for a pint and a shandy, and the bar person has never heard of shandy. (2). Ordered the vegan burger for £11, which didn't come with chips or anything, was tiny, a bit soggy and didn't taste great. So (1) is poor staff training but (2) is taking the mick.

Booked a table in advance to watch the women's Conti Cup *final* (Arsenal vs Chelsea). Game started at 3pm and was then advised by staff at 4.28pm that they will be switching the game to the men's Liverpool vs Man U at 4.30pm. Had no choice but watch the remaining ~20 minutes on my phone screen in the pub. Disappointed that this wasn't communicated upon the advance booking as I would've booked elsewhere to be able to watch the entire women's final. Also can't help to think whether staff would've turned off a men's game in favour of a women's game? Staff were kind enough to turn down the music and turned up commentary volume for the mens' game which they didn't do for the time we were watching women's. Pretty lame.

We've got super Mik Arteta, he knows exactly what we need (pubs like this) Kieran at the back, Gabi in attack, Arsenal's gonna win the champions League. Not a great pub for Tottenham fans.

It smelled of bad BO but then again it's a pub. So you grab a pint and get on with it.

Nice local pub, rustic feel.. I recommend the cheese burger - so delicious.. And you can def taste the alcohol in the cocktails, just a shame they didn't have a wide range of soft drinks for those coming for the ambience without the alcohol.. no mocktails, very limited juice selection.. The DJ on the Friday was not as advertised, but He still did a good job with an ecclectic mix of classic soul, funk, reggae, and alternative music. We had a good time & we all said we would return again. Also, the bar staff were very friendly, helpful, attentive, and welcoming.

The Horatia is located at the bottom end of Holloway Road and is just a five minute stroll from Highbury & Islington station. . Formerly The Lord Nelson, The Horatia was built around 1860 and has seen its fair share of changes over the years. Holloway Road pubs were not always as welcoming as they are today, in 2010 this pub got its ducks in a row and has never looked back. . This is a spacious pub which still feels cosy and intimate. The decor here is traditional with a rustic edge. There are plenty places to sit, at the rear of the pub are chesterfields to lounge in, there are big and small tables to match your group size. Dotted around the pub are plenty of screens showing live sport, at the rear are a couple of Fussball tables and even an old school Nintendo if you fancy a game of street fighter. . The beer choice is excellent and has a mix of well known stalwarts plus diverse craft options for the inquisitive drinker, Hammerton and Magic Rock breweries are represented here. After an excellent consultation with The Guv’nor, I decided on a Romola Birra Di Roma which is a beer I’ve never come across before, Is was a very nice pint and average priced. The food here is East Asian inspired with Bao Buns, Gyoza and noodles. . I visited late afternoon on a Friday and the pub was quiet ahead of the evening’s trade. I had a good old chin-wag with the Guv’nor about the beer line up and the pub in general, what top top fella who is passionate about his pub. The Horatia has plenty to keep you entertained, there are quizzes and live music nights throughout the month. The pub gets packed to the rafters when The Arsenal are playing at home. . This is a pub I have visited many times on match days and I never saw the wood for the trees. Now I’ve visited @thehoratia on a regular day, I have to say I’m super impressed. Came here for a few drinks after the Arsenal v Brighton game. Staff were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere inside the pub. Only downside was they decided to close up at 7.30pm

A mates night out, thank god we are back to having those. Great selection of drinks and liked the app ordering system, though one of our orders got lost, but seemed a simple problem. Manager came over and explained everything and kind of "sold the food" to us. When he went away I did think to myself that its a pub and it will always be the usual hunters chicken type microwave tut. Couldn't have been more wrong. Epic food, had Tempura Chicken, Blue Cheese Wings and even the burgers and one half rack of ribs. I'd come back here with just the mrs next time and use it as a restaurant. It's not the usual pub food at all, we were all shocked. Sat out for a bit on the bench outside. Main downside, no outside seating, unless they have something out the back I missed.

Visited yesterday to watch the football, although not Arsenal or England so it was relatively quiet. They have a couple of big screens and lots of seating available with decent view of the screens. The staff were really friendly and attentive. When I asked whether they had gluten free options on the menu, I was surprised to find they had loads! The waiter went and spoke to the chef and who marked up everything that either was, or could be made gluten free, and advised us that it would all be cooked separately. The ribs and beef burgers were all gluten free (with a gluten free bun) and there were a handful of starter options. We had a few of the small plates which were excellent - much better than normal pub food.

The perfect pit stop after a home game at The Emirates while the crowds head for the station. On match day during certain times on Arsenal Supporters are aloud. Very spacious Gastro pub, leather sofas and tables to fit 15 people. Great selection of lagers & ales (including Camden Pale Ale). The sourdough pizzas are delicious, I recommend the prosciutto & rocket pizza or slice. The staff and customers are very friendly and make you feel welcome. According to their black board, the pub organises quiz nights too.

No point in grappling with the crowds trying to get into Highbury & Islington station after a game at the Emirates. Far better to bide your time and this is a good pitstop. It's about 7 minutes from the tube. There was a lively crowd in after the match (no doubt assisted by a 5-1 win over Bournemouth). Good range of beers and quick service notwithstanding the scrum. MOTD highlights featuring comedy own goal by Tottenham (0-2 to Chelsea) was an added bonus, and greeted with predictable hoots of derision. A good place to stop before or after the match - but not one for a quiet evening out with the other half.

Decent pub, good to have local. Always busy match days. For some strange reason, they were playing some pretty average tech house or whatever it was quote loud on a Sunday to a quiet bar. Would have stayed for a few but the music was crap. Could be a good watch-the-world-go-by boozer on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Loud, not intimate, but a great pub (avoid on Arsenal match days unless you are a supporter). Good variety and price of beer. I wouldnt go here on a romantic date though

Pub for home fans! Friendly atmosphere, great staff, great beer, near the ground if you're a Gooner - what's not to like?

Probabally the worst pub I’ve ever been to in London for a multitude of reasons. Where to start.... Drinks: The beer tastes of cider and the cider tastes of beer. The sodas are flat and wine is cheap and nasty. We took one sip out of our pints and they were so bad that we had to just leave it on the bar and leave. Staff: The stuff are rude and uninviting. They act like they don’t want to be there and if you dare to question the low quality of the over priced and under par drink that you have just bought they will just be rude claiming you don’t know what your talking about. Food: It feels like the food hasn’t changed since the 80’s (but the prices have.) There are so many good pubs in the area it’s hard to understand why this one still exists. Try The Lamb a few doors down for a good pint and for friendly service. Or if you prefer value for money and something ‘non hipster’ you would do better going to Weatherspoons. If you go to this place you will just leave angry.

I actually ended up going here twice in a long weekend in London. The first time I casually strolled in and had a couple nice pints whilst watching Sky Sports News. The second was the next day, where I decided to have a pint before the Arsenal-Man City match. The bartender who served my recognized me as the guy from Boston from the day before. Needless to say, that scored major points in my book. Highly recommend.

En el norte de Londres boozer una tradicional con muebles rediseñados tienda de baratijas. Interesante variedad de cervezas pero limitadas opciones de comida. Preguntamos si podíamos pedir (GET) hamburguesas de la excelente hamburguesa que está justo en frente, pero este fue desalentado, así que nos fuimos a otro lado y perdieron tanto nuestra comida y bebida a medida
