Honest Burgers Kings Cross in Islington

Every time I've visited the customer service has been great. The first two times, the food was decent, but there was nothing to write home about. The third time, it was far better. The manager at the King's Cross Branch was really nice and helpful with my allergies and went out of her way to check the ingredients on the cheese for me.

I haven’t been to a single Honest Burger that has disappointed and the King’s Cross location is no exception. Love the single smash burger with the rosemary fries; it’s the perfect inexpensive lunch that delivers on taste and satiation.

Wanted to hate it. It's got the word "honest" in the title, which really made me think it was gonna be lame. I pictured a burger that would have an overwhelming taste of kale. I was wrong. I had the double smash burger with the standard rosemary fries and my my, what a delicious burger! it was appropriately greasy, the fries had that delicious crisp with the meatiness of the rosemary! if I had to give it a rating, I'd say A+ very good mamma mia! however, I was talking quite loudly about how it's absolutely ridiculous to eat a burger with a knife and fork - going as far as to act it out for the comedic joy of my friends - to then realise that the fellow customer to my right was doing exactly that! hopefully that person doesn't leave a review in which the main complaint is that rude man making fun of knife and fork burger eaters!!! my apologies!! (but come on, it's finger food!)

A restaurant with an attractive price but additive hamburgers. Good recipes combining bad food and taste pleasure. Although a heavy hand was given to the salt. For the less tolerant. The service is excellent. Helpful, smiling and responsive. The atmosphere is nothing exceptional, but is that the main criterion sought in this style of establishment?! To try...

I had dinner here, and the experience was fantastic. The staff were very friendly, and the burgers were absolutely delicious. We had the Honest Burger and the Fried Chicken Burger, and I loved both. We didn’t have to wait long for the food either. The fries were slightly cold but still very good. My only minor complaint is that it got a bit busier over time and became slightly noisier. Overall, I loved it and would definitely consider coming back for a revisit.

Unique flavor, for those wanting to try a different take on wings. The burgers are the star here, a unique take on burgers and smash burgers not to be missed. I highly recommend them.

Had an amazing meal - found it by chance when we had an hour to kill before a train so a bit short of time and person that accommodated us not only brought the food out super promptly but gave us complimentary drinks because they'd been served after the food! We were just happy that the food had arrived!! Did not expect such great service

I go quite often and I’m never let down! Always greeted with a smile, the service is quick and good value for money not to mention the food is always delicious! I would definitely recommend for a good dinner outing with friends or family.

I visited this chain restaurant with my family on my birthday. The food was average— the chips were a bit too oily. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially with my one-year-old nephew.

It took a while to be served. The food was dry and bland. Pretty expensive for a bad burger. However the buffalo wings were good.

The staff is super friendly, the burgers are very tasty. Gluten-free is no problem at all, the staff knows everything. Definitely highly recommended!

The beef burger I had was really good , chips were some of the best I've had, lovely rosemary seasoning, and there tropical punch cocktail to wash it down was also very moreish , service was great , next time I visit London , will have to stop by again.

Had a great experience here, the food ( the vegan bacon burger), ambience, and service. It is a little cramped (a little) but that didnt bother us.

I could eat here daily! I have Celiac's and was so impressed with all their GF options. They are very careful with food allergies and food that is good allergy safe comes out with a different colored paper so that it's clear from the get go. Jasmine was so knowledgeable and helped tremendously with giving recommendations. She also went above and beyond to bring us a glove filled with ice for my sister who had sprained her ankle earlier. Precious, the bartender, made amazing drinks and was very fun to talk to. All our burgers were very good. I had the signature honest burger. The bacon was smokey and cooked well, the burger was cooked exactly as I'd asked, and the gluten free bun was soft and substantial without overwhelming the meat and toppings. The rosemary chips are delicious. I was glad to have them with the honest burger. I think they would have been a bit more jarring paired with the buffalo chicken because they have a significant rosemary seasoning. We also got a side of onion rings and these are the things GF dreams are made of. I couldn't believe something breaded was so phenomenal and gluten free. My non-Celiac sisters agreed they were among the best onion rings they've had, even compared to gluten onion rings elsewhere (all onion rings here are gf).

DO NOT GO IN HERE - there could be a food safety issue. Just been very sick from a burger I ate in there Saturday. I am vomiting and have the serious runs.. environmental health you need to go do a check asap!! And I’ve just seen another review on here to confirm somthing is wrong here.

I’ll start by saying that the service was good & staff were really nice. However after eating here I started to develop, chills, stomach cramps vomiting and diarrhoea. I am currently suffering with food poisoning. I came here with my date who is experiencing the exact same symptoms. At first I thought that we were just unlucky however I have seen some other reviews which have said the same which leads me to question the cleanliness of this branch. Very disappointing !

The portion is mostly fries and the burger is tiny. The following morning I felt terrible and had a headache before going to bed because of it.

Honest in name and in fact. The three stars evaluate all food, service and environment. If you take a fixed menu you can eat a decent sandwich without spending a lot, good not exceptional.....I would therefore say HONEST

Similar prices to five guys down the road. But much better quality and a proper dining experience, instead of the Happy Days style diner.

We ordered the month's special burgers which comes with fries. It's not the best burger I have had but was tasty enough. I just wished the pesto sauce has more flavour.

The Tribute burger is pretty tasty. If you want a refreshing drink order the homemade mint lemonade.

THANK YOU! the vegetarian side salad was also so flavorful and well-balanced, good spice and light dressing on fresh leafy greens, it pairs so well with a hamburger. and i love a cute herb on a fry, so the rosemary was great. the fries were really potato-y in the good way, with a delightful crispy outside. very happy with Honest :)!

I do like Honest Burger but the place was empty and we just wanted to sit by the window. Fair it was a 4 seat table and just the two of us but there were many other empty tables for four. Our request got refused not to mention it was one hour till closing on a weekday. I work in hospitality also and if the request such as this one is easy to provide we always go with it. Anyway… i love Camden Town Honest Burger, for me this was the first and the last time to go to King’s Cross Honest Burger. Not really because of the table thing. We will survive. But zero empathy or willingness to work on the face of the staff.

We're regular visitors to Honest Burgers in various locations when on our travels, this was the first visit to this branch and we were impressed. Staff lovely as usual, busy on arrival but seated and served timeously, food excellent, prices competitive, handy location close to kings cross station, would visit again

What a piece of Smashed Burger I just ate with some freshly made potatoes. Children's menu at 7.50 pounds, the homemade lemonade is very good.

Probably one of the best burger places I've ever been to. 1) 💯 The quality of the burgers: After speaking with one of the girls who served us (who I will also talk about later) she told us that they have their own meat supplier, that everything is gluten free, and that the products are supplied DAILY, that is, sauces, meat, bread, vegetables... THEY ALWAYS replenish it fresh. I would dare to say that it is one of the few burger restaurants where you can go on a Monday without fear of getting leftovers from Saturday. 2)👅 Very successful flavors: A hamburger is something that is difficult to surprise with, it is still a bread and meat, but the two I tried had their touch in the sauce, or in the accompaniments. HIGHLY ADVISED that you do not leave without trying the wings, they have an incredible flavor mix that you have never tried before. 3)🫂 The attention: The treatment we received as soon as we entered was 10 from ALL the girls there. But without a doubt, the girl who spoke Spanish made the difference. He treated us with great affection, explained to us where the meat came from, told us about the company, how the chain has grown in a short time... In general, someone that every employer would like to have on their staff. Thank you for everything and we wish you the best! 😊 4) 💵 The price: No burger exceeds £15, a drink at a good price (you can always order tap water), and also, if you register from the website they give you a discount of £5 when paying, so it is a price quite similar to that of any burger restaurant in Spain. If you already love what honest burgers offer this is one of the best locations. The interior design and atmosphere is really nice and looks more like a restaurant, the servers are very kind and attentive. £9.50 for a smashed cheeseburger with rosemary fries is one of my affordable gourmet burger favourites. A good place to go for a fun date.

Wrost staff I have ever seen in life

Went here with a colleague after finishing a job in London last night. We had limited time before trains home, and the staff were amazing at accommodating us and making sure that the food arrived in good time (without it feeling in any way rushed). The burgers were *sensational* - genuinely one of the best burgers i've ever had! I will definitely be back when I next have the opportunity - no doubt in my mind. 5*

Came in, the served was a younger kid who smelled (literaly, i am not being mean) and was super impatient and not caring. Would jump in and out trying to juggle multiple tasks i guess. The vegeterian options are very limited and vibe is dark (not in a good way) and not very cozy. I got tired of this place after 5 minutes, and didn't even bother ordering ant food

My girlfriend and I had one of our top 3 burger ever there, we had a great Time in this restaurant To all the future customers, you need to order the bacon gravy and deep your burger in it, you won’t regret it (Thanks for the old fashion hospitality, I’ll never Forget it)

always go here before I catch my train. The service has always been fabulous. The staff are really lovely! Saying that, I was there yesterday and had my order-to-go and they were a little stingy with the fries. I was surprised at how little there was in there when I got home. :(

The burgers are tasteless, but at least they're not gristly. The gravy is very good, but who puts gravy on a burger? Maybe just to mask the lack of taste. The prices are pretty reasonable for the location. Service is friendly. Vibe is a bit families waiting for trains.

As with any visit to London, a visit to Honest Burger is a must. Since we were heading towards Kingˋs Cross this year, we went to this restaurant this time. Seating on the ground floor and basement. Tried and tested menu and nice service. Recommendation!

Today at Honest Burger [Kings Cross], I experienced an unpleasant and disrespectful interaction. While trying to arrange seating for my family of four, a staff member (possibly the manager) publicly reprimanded me for moving a table, insisting I should have asked permission and stating I could only sit where they had predetermined. This confrontational and discourteous behavior, especially in front of my family, was completely unexpected and inappropriate. Such poor customer service significantly detracts from the Honest Burger brand reputation. It's unfortunate that this location's staff conduct is undermining what is otherwise a respected burger establishment. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this particular branch to others.

One of the best vegan burgers I've ever had

Yasmine was absolutely amazing made our entire party feel at ease. It was really busy but Yasmine remained calm polite and super friendly. Food was really nice for our team Xmas lunch. Location was clean and welcoming.

Splendid! Top class place, the burgers taste perfect as “medium-well”. I believe the default option is cooked as a “medium-pink”. Good quantity of salt on the rosemary salted fries so you could really appreciate the flavours! The tap water came with ice and a slice of lemon which certainly adds brownie points. You won’t regret visiting….honest!

Pretty good smashburger but a bit uninspired with the toppings, good fries (huge portion), alright coleslaw (tiny portion) - so don't swap your fries out unless you're okay with that. The chilli burger with honest beef was really good, and actually spicy, try that Really nice onion rings (albeit pricey)

I have tried practically all the chains in London, in my opinion this is the best for various aspects, the sandwich first is among the tastiest and most balanced, then the chips are made by them and finally the prices are much more competitive than other chains in London London

Nice place for a quick meal, delicious food and great service

First meal after arriving in London The crispy yet chewy French fries, which I had never tasted in Korea, were really delicious and the combination with the mayonnaise was fantastic. What can I say about the hamburger, it’s so delicious. Because it was a weekday evening, there were a lot of people, but there was a place in the basement, so I was guided to the place and had a really delicious meal. The staff were very friendly, and I was especially grateful to the short woman who took our order in the basement for being considerate of our English skills.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love...took me to have a delicious burger at Honest Burger King's Cross! It was so good that we went back the next night for dinner, as well. The first night, I had the vegetarian fritter burger. It was well balanced, flavorful and interesting. The rosemary fries were definitely a food memory of London. The next evening, I tried the Plant burger. It was one of the best vegetarian burgers of my life. It was juicy and the flavors were once again well balanced. It was a classic combination of ingredients that hit every single mark. Everything was spot on. On the second evening, I also tried the onion rings and homemade lemonade. Both were good. Though, the onion rights were a tad greasy for my taste. But the batter was really yummy.

We always enjoy coming to this Honest Burgers. Last time, we sat downstairs and it was a bit too noisy, but the first level is cozy and perfect for a more romantic vibe. The food was as great as always! Tip: Skip the onion rings—they weren’t great.

I am a massive fan of honest burgers! Particularly this branch as its the only one I've tried and I've been 5 times in the last 2 months. I've had the double smash burger twice, that was lush. The chilli burger twice, loved it.. the second time I asked for the jalapeños to be on the side as it made the burger a bun a tad soggy.. and the most recent visit I had the actual Honest Burger and was not disappointed at all. But burgers aside... it's all about the rosemary fries!! My God they're just the best fries in town. Even my fussy eating son loves them and that's saying something! The staff are always welcoming even on a busy Friday evening.
