The best restaurants in Highbury East Islington London

I've been going here for nearly 5 years and they do the best lamb kofte. They also do excellent burgers and if you ask they'll do the chips extra crispy. Staff is very friendly and they're open till around 2am.

The food was very good! We’ve been looking for good Thai food in north London and can confidently say we’ve found our spot!!

I effing love this place. Great food, great staff and just an awesome atmosphere.

What a beautiful place to sit and have a coffee/tea, my americano was lush, that said the food was unfortunate, the sausages were 100% the cheapest 40 sausages for £3 from Iceland and they put cheap marge on the toast, RANCID!!!!. when I ordered the food and drinks I was given the drinks with no spoon, I asked 3 times for a spoon but in the end I had to compromise And scooped the sugar with a pair of tongs that were on the counter, all in all it is still an amazing little "stop off for a coffee spot".

Food was good. I’m coeliac and the waitress really helped me. Good spot in Islington with affordable meal deals.

terrible..garlic bread cold chewy and small...new potato are not cut u can see they are made with no sense or any care for food or costumers...not recommended at all

The bald geezer was completely miserable and there was hair in my food, the fish was soggy and smelt fishy. There was water on the floor which caused me to slip, not happy I am!

Absolute disgrace what they did to this lovely old landmark pub. The last straw was turning it into a tacky Turkish restaurant, and building an ugly extension. Now closed and a complete eyesore to this area.

Comida terrible — inexplicablemente sobrevalorada. Confieso que este no es el lugar que uno debe llevar a los niños, el “menú infantil” era horrible. Nuestro pollo frito seco o pasteles de pescado picante (para niños? ). Este es posiblemente el peor restaurante tailandés en el que he estado. El curry amarillo era insípido y tenía tres gambas. Y el servicio era muy exigente — nos hicieron ordenar de inmediato porque tenían otra reserva después de nosotros. Nos sentimos incómodos. Nunca volvería o recomendaría.

Although I was dubious at first about this place, the fish and chips were lovely and tasty. It is enough to serve two people therefore great value for money. The person that served me was friendly and it was nice chatting with him. I would recommend a takeaway.

I can’t speak for the service of atmosphere, but I just ordered two larb salads (a dish we’ve ordered hundreds of times before) and they were just inedible. They were so spicy, it felt like eating chilli powder. A waste of nearly £30.

Très bon, ambiance sympa et serveur très serviable (merci Arif). Je recommande, surtout que c'est dans un chouette quartier de Londres, à deux pas du Regent's Park, et au coin de la meilleure des librairies, Daunt Books :-)

Brilliant Pub and very Friendly staff
