Lovely pub with great food and drinks and great service. The Goan fish curry is amazing - the prawns are perfectly cooked and delicious. My mate thoroughly enjoyed his Gammon and chips. Nice and cosy with log fires and also decent smoking area out back. Probably my favourite pub

I recently visited this fish and chip takeaway, and it was absolutely worth the trip from Stratford! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place takes pride in serving top-quality food. The fish was golden, crispy, and cooked to perfection, while the chips were fresh, hot, and had just the right amount of crunch. Nothing was soggy or overcooked—everything was made fresh to order, which really sets this place apart. What made me choose this takeaway were the glowing reviews, and I can confidently say they lived up to the hype. My kids loved every bite, and it’s rare to find a spot where everyone in the family is satisfied. The portion sizes were generous, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. It’s not just about the food—the service was friendly, and they really seem to care about their customers. I hope they keep up this level of quality because places like this deserve all the success. If you’re looking for proper fish and chips done right, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I recommend it to anyone who appreciates good, fresh, and perfectly cooked fish and chips!

Was rudely spoken to by the supervisor bee upon arrival , we waited over 20 minutes just to order some drinks upon ordering food we was told most of the items was out of stock! waited over an hour for our food. The service was absolutely appalling! Certainly won't be returning!

Worst restaurant I've been to in the Romford and Gidea park area. I've never seen a restaurant so unorganised and disgusting. Food expensive and portions are small. place was near enough empty when I went and I now I know why. Reviews are misleading as there was nothing fantastic about the place. Spend your money elsewhere.

We are a couple bumping into this restaurant for a quick lunch in mid December. There was no waiting staff standby and no other customers in the restaurant. The owner served us attentively. We ordered wonton soup, Singapore noodles, seafood crispy noodles and a bottle of wine and an extra glass as a top up after meal. I particularly liked the seafood noodles. The ingredients are fresh. We didn’t wait for long for our food although the kitchen was busy with takeaway orders. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated with Chinese arts. Not much atmosphere around because it was empty other than our table. Our bill came to around £60 including 10% service charge. Overall, a nice experience.

Son amables y agradables, la comida realmente ha mejorado recientemente. Me encanta todo. Gran valor para el dinero. Solo asegúrate de verificar que tienes todo cuando te vayas. . . . ¡Casi siempre se olvidan de mi hummus! !

Near empty restaurant. 9.30am on Sunday morning. The server was smiley, pleasant when spoken to, but completely unaware of their very few customers. We had to ask to order. People on the next table had to get up to leave to pay. We had to go to the kitchen to find them. The cooked breakfast was excellent. This saved my review. I guess covid saw the death of the buffet? Death of this venue? Pre covid we lived near a Harvester that would be queued out the door at 9.30am on a Sunday!!! Travelling back into Harvester land we re left disappointed and won't bother next time
