Caterpillar is nott my favourite take away dinner experience. It is last time I will ever eat there. Got my money back for that particular dish but not for the rest of the meal. Worse staff ever , run by rude Indians , rang to order tonight and they had some kind of issue with my business card, I could hear them saying no money in account! Absolutely not it’s a business account that could purchase their silly little business in total ! Rude woman cut me off and now won’t answer the phone , horrible place , no wonder no one sits in there, the place is dead! Never will we order from this dump again

Rang to order takeaway, the girls were laughing in background and on phone. Gave the order , she took card details 3 times and said declined, I can hear girl in background saying oh no money in account, it was a business account with enough money in to buy this Chinese outright in ! She said other girl would try , then hung up on me and no one would then answer the phone ! Took our business to the proper Chinese in our area the blue orchid. This Chinese is run by Pakistanis that don’t know what they are doing and are rude. Food has gone down hill in last few years too. Awful place , no wonder it’s always empty

Takeaway again. It’s not cheap at all but really good Chinese food. Not greasy and tasty. Although my Chinese chicken , mushroom and bean shoots had NO bean shoots not one 🤬

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wongs, and it felt like discovering a a hidden gem. We decided to try the mixed hors d’oeuvres, Special fried rice, lemon chicken, crispy duck, crispy shredded beef etc,and wow, they were very good- just the right amount of spice and packed with flavor. The staff there are genuinely friendly, making me feel welcomed and valued. It's not just a meal at wongs, it's an experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I went and ordered 10 fried won ton to take away. When i got to the car, they gave me 8. When in the menu states 10, is just how the work to scam customers, wont be returning

I ordered a delivery I got special fried rice crispy shredded beef and chicken balls £22.50 I was shocked at the price and the food was not that great and the special fried rice was more like boiled rice and the crispy beef was soo sweet and sticky and it looked like half a portion not even free prawn crackers I would never order from here again I don't know how this place is still running

I visited this restaurant recently and I was utterly shocked when receiving the receipt, They had added a £1.10 extra charge on to the drinks, Charging £3.10 when on the menu it stated £2, I know it’s not a huge difference but it’s the principle of trying to scam customers, Furthermore the coke can they gave me was from a multipack which stated not to be sold separately however that wasn’t the case in this restaurant, I am just shocked with this poor service that I have received even after they tried to justify having new menus, But to be honest the as a whole restaurant it’s not the greatest, The food was oily and quite fatty, I had to send some dishes back. And to end it all off they tried to charge service charge with their service being utterly poor, I just thought they were taking advantage of their customers… Will not be returning!

Tried this place as it seemed to be recommended on local social media. Attentive, friendly staff. My order arrived quickly after ordering and I went home looking forward to my meal. Unfortunately I cannot say that the food was good. Beef and chicken chow mein was very greasy and tasteless. Chips were inedible and the prawn crackers were soggy. The sweet and sour chicken balls were okay but that's about as good as it got. It's a shame but I cannot recommend Wongs and won't return.

I Found this great little place by accident and only used it because our usual place was closed, thank goodness they was because Wongs food is amazing. Smoked chicken and salt and chilli ribs are my favourite. We tried a few takeaways which were really tasty and full of flavour. We decided to pop there for a sit down meal and we wasn’t disappointed. The staff are very helpful and polite. Nothing bad to say about this great little place.

Still great food but the portion sizes have reduced significantly. I get that prices are going up everywhere and the restaurant has to cover their costs, but the rice and chow mein portions are half the size they were before. We'll still get take out from here as the food is excellent, just a little less often

Foods amazing, comes with disgusting customer service. Treats customers different dependant on their skin colour which is sad due to the fact I love Asian culture. Just a shame really, as I feel uncomfortable eating in the restaurant because I’m black maybe I’ll get it take away next time. :(

Best Local Chinese food , our whole Family absolutely loves it including our two little girls . Always exited on Saturday to get their prawn crackers yum yum . Delicious, food is always freshly cooked , our favourite Capital spare ribs , Mongolian Lamb , special fried rice , chicken chow main , must always have curry sauce with it . Staff is Super friendly , polite and professional, always nice welcome with smile . Owners are absolutely fantastic , friendly and welcoming. Thanks guys to make our weekends extra special :)

Great delivery. Probably because cash only. Tax evasion. Crackers stale and you have to pay for them. The special fried noodles and rice have so few prawns in the can't procreate. Why do I bother ? Crispy chilli beef excellent. That's it !

Food was nice but service was a bit odd especially to serve warm white wine with no others in the fridge. A/C / Room Temp was a bit cold

First time trying this spot after searching for the best Chinese takeaway in Romford. We was impressed with the quality of food, taste and quantity. The pricing was also affordable compared to other takeout restaurants. They do a free delivery service which was nice. Will definitely order again.

The best service, answered my questions promptly and my mum loved her suprise dinner for new years eve... So much I ordered her some more as a treat for new years day. Thank you again for such brilliant customer service.

Yesterday I ordered a menu of two for dinner... when I saw the look of the food I imagined that I would get sick... I don't know how many days ago they had it there, they reheated it and sent it to me first thing in the morning today with a barbaric gastroenteritis that I am going straight to the hospital emergency room... I didn't even try the beef because it looks like 🐀 meat, a shame because I went to dinner there once at the restaurant and I had a good impression. But I'm not coming back in my life.

This was the first time my wife and myself have visited this restaurant, to be honest I have passed it a few times, but I thought it was a take-away and not a restaurant, but stuck in traffic the other day I noted that this was not the case. I checked some reviews and they were mostly positive, so tonight we gave it a try, we were not disappointed! The restaurant was busy, both with take-away and sit down customers, we were shown to our table and offered drinks and given menus. After our drinks were served, we ordered our starters, I had hot & sour soup and my wife Vietnamese prawn rolls, both arrived together, within 10 minutes and we’re both superb, the hot & sour soup was as described and the prawn rolls as delicious. We were then asked if we were ready for our main courses, we said yes and they arrived five mins later. We ordered Sizzling Fillet steak in Cantonese Sauce, Sizzling Spicy Sea Food, Singapore Chow Main and Shredded Chicken Chow Main. The dishes arrived and the aroma of the sizzling dish’s made your mouth water, they tasted fantastic, even the Chow Mains we'd ordered were very flavoursome and enjoyable. The bill came to £69.00, this included a Tsingtao, a large bottle of still water and a bottle of South African Sauvignon Blanc, that complimented the meal perfectly. If I was being really picky, the interior decor could do with a spruce-up, we will certainly be visiting this local restaurant again.

Always restuarent quality takeaway. We've been ordering from Wongs for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. We had a very large party order on a Saturday and many thanks to them it arrived on time and piping hot and it was so delicious. Can recommend their smoked shredded chicken, crispy beef, in fact we've tried most of the menu and never been disapppinted

Hadn't been here for around 10 years( seem to remember food etc was good), after a disappointing visit to my usual Chinese restaurant of choice decided to give this a try and was not disappointed, waitress was attentive and very polite, friendly and accommodating, food was excellent and price was reasonable. Will be back soon

So disappointed We have been a regular customer of yours for years and I can honestly say tonight is the worst meal we have had from you. The only thing I can say that you have changed your Chef. We tend to order the same each time and it was certainly not cooked how it usually is. One of the dishes was wrong but it was a chicken dish so I fished it up. Sadly I threw it straight back up. This is the second time we have ordered from Wongs and let's just say the food was not on the plate for long. Food always tastes fresh, full of flavour and piping hot! Highly recommended!

I have visited Wong’s Oriental Restaurant on multiple occasions as this is very close to our home. The food which is served here is tasty, and there is a good variety of Chinese delicacies on offer. I particularly liked the duck dishes and the rice noodles. However, on an honest note, we particularly enjoy the dine-in experience here. The food was served with a really indifferent attitude. When we asked for suggestions - the answer was ‘you decide what you eat, we just serve it’(so much so for chef’s recommendation). The waiter was only interested in knowing whether we are done so that he could come and clear the table. Really a strange and uncomfortable feeling for the two of us. I personally would recommend their food, but cannot do so for their service and customer care. A smile on the face does not cost much, but can win you a lot.

Hoorah! Wongs are back! We have used this restaurant's as our go to Chinese takeout for years. But recently we have been very disappointed as everything was overly salty and tasted the same. But our food this evening was bloomin' lovely - so tasty and generous portions! We called the restaurant to give them positive feedback but he thought we were complaining - why is it so difficult to be nice!?!?!

Never been in this Chinese restaurant before popped in with pals the food was really good and the service was good also. Not greasy and the chow mein and duck went down a treat. Recommended place to pop in.

Don't you like it when people say things like "good place for Chinese food" but the food was really nice. On the night we were there one of their party was running very late, however they were very accommodating and allowed us to wait for our guest to arrive some 50 minutes later.

No customer service at all. Forgot two dishes before and we gave them a second chance to try again. It happened again tonight, forgetting part of our order. We called and they said on its way, over 20 minutes later it still hadnt arrived on the phone to the apparent manager who was laughing down the phone when i said what's taking so long, our food was now cold, no apology and no offer of refund of missing order. Customer service is awful!!

Great food and a friendly service

Hit and miss sometimes really nice somtimes rubbish. Food comes out all different times. Customer service not great most of the time.

Ordered just before 7pm, ordered quite frequently. Food turned up 1hr 20mins, told 45mins to 1hr? Food was cold, ordeted and paid for crackers, never turned up. Called to complain, told that car broke down....really??? Will never order from here again, they don't care about regulars, no freebies whatsoever. Money grabbers, will go elsewhere. Awfull customer service. Their loss, will lose £150 a month from us alone. Good ridence.

I have been using this restaurant for our chinese takeaway for many years, I love the food from here and in all the time we have been here; we have had very few incidents or dis-satisfaction with the food. 14 years can’t always be on the ball, but they have been few. Delivery is fast, food is always hot and if you decide to eat in, you are catered well for. Best chinese in Collier rowe for me.

Been here few times recently and cannot understand why the place isn't full every evening. It serves freshly cooked food and the prices are below market rates making it a cheap night out!!!! It is so good their food was so tasty and it is a perfect place to eat .Its better to eat in the restaurant than making a delivery because it gets soggy and sometimes it could be off taste but I 100% recommend for you to eat in .But there is a service charge.

This place lacks just a bit of atmosphere and a welcoming smile when you arrive. Otherwise, in fairness, it was a very pleasant evening. The food was good and the portion sizes more than average. Prices also appear ok based on what we had. Worth a try Guys! Enjoy!

Had a long day but wanted to go out... thought we'd go somewhere local and our favourite takeaway in the area doesn't have a restaurant so this being 2 mins away we decided to go here having seen it on the way home. It was completely empty the whole time we where there and only maybe 2/3 takeaway orders during the hour or so we visited, that should've given me all the warning I needed. Young girl who served us didn't speak much English by the seems of it but rather than repeat and check the order, she just nodded and we ended up with the wrong soup starter and 'not as we ordered' main, this was a little issue however was small thing that added to the others being... 4 tiny diet cokes costing £15, we're talking 250ml size each, crispy chilli beef was just a burnt tangy mess, as others mentioned there was a mandatory 10% added to the bill (I certainly wouldn't have added the 10% if I had the choice as service was very slow) and even though the restaurant was empty it was difficult to get served each time unless it was for drinks at which time they appeared immediately. Size of the portions was fairly good however not £50s worth as the total bill came to, I had to recheck the receipt 3 times as just the 4 drinks and 2 mains came to nearly £30... this seemed very excessive, would have been cheaper to go somewhere 4 star on a fixed menu. Their fixed menu hasn't bad if we had of chosen that at £13.90 each however with drinks and mandatory service charge, you're still looking at around £50 for 2 people. 2 Mixed starters 2 Soups (They brought us chicken, sweetcorn & seafood soup?!?) 1x Noodle Main, 1x Rice & 1x Crispy chilli beef 4x drinks £49.50 with service charge

We always have good quality food when we dine here. It has good ambience and the staff are very polite. They have an extensive menu which caters for everyone.

Our go to Chinese take away very nice food and reliable delivery. Also ate inside in the restaurant also vey good.

I went in and asked about the service charge only to be told that I have no choice but to pay it. I said but what if the service is bad, once again to be told you must pay. The reason I asked was that last time I went there the service was very poor. If a place was confident on their service they would give you the choice. I went back to give it another chance. Big mistake.

Food came quite quickly. I Wasn't really impressed with the food, Curry sauce was very sweet and tasted a lot like coconut. chicken balls was very oily. Ordered chicken in black been sauce and was completely tasteless. The food was quite expensive considering we never ate it.

No nos decepcionó, gran servicio amable y un ambiente agradable, algunos de la comida un poco más dulce de lo esperado, pero grandes porciones y carta de vinos. Sin duda lo recomiendo.

Seen this restaurant many times in a small row of shops. Found out they did a Take away service, so gave it a try. Wished I had done so before as food was restaurant quality rather than usual take away fodder. Fast service and good value. Will book a table soon.

Always been lovely on this one occasion tonight where there was two very large chicken bones in my shredded chicken chow mein which my young cousin could of easily chocked on if I did not of notices before her, very upset

Was told food would be ready in 25 mins for a takeaway waited ages 40 mins before food was ready BUT food was excellent fresh so much taste could not fault it to be honest really nice and I will definitely return but the staff need to sort there timing out

Went here the other day with the In laws, table of four. Staff were very attentive and well mannered. Food is very tasty and presented well, what more could you want form Chinese! For 7 dishes and 4 beers and tip came to £50 - pretty good value

I ordered a takeaway from Wongs this evening and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes.I arrived after 15 minutes and paid for my order. I was told to take a seat and wait.After a total of 30 minutes I asked what was happening regarding my order and was told they were busy. The waitress then asked me my name. In the meantime someone who came in and placed an order after I arrived received their food.I waited a further 10 minutes before my order was ready.I could have spent a further 30 minutes at home rather than in the restaurant.
