Great food. My friday night goto. Good standard and affordable Chinese food in Romford, for home delvery or colletion.

Lovely family own takeaway, friendly staff , 10/10 food ! So tasty and delicious Can’t fault it Would definitely come back to order in the shop or order from there local number……

Ordered a Saturday evening meal, but it never arrived, when I rang to ask where it was the lady said it was given to the courier and told it was delivered, i checked door bell and outside nothing, rang back and a very unsympathetic lady said it happens a lot with just eat there’s nothing she can do 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ still awaiting for a refund and looking for an alternative restaurant

Ordered from this restaurant as it had a good food hygiene and customer satisfaction score. Unfortunately the Dim sum we ordered consisted of 4 large grape size rubbery balls awful quality for £5.40 The rest of the portion sizes were pretty small and the black bean sauce was exceptionally spicy, and I like spicy food. Disappointed considering the rating.

Had a delivery first time from here - we will 100% order from here again and would definitely recommend, really lovely tasty food and plenty of it too - Thankyou for a very tasty dinner 🙏🏼

Amazing food, orders over the phone and food was nice and hot when I got there. Nicely packed and the food was amazing, the best Chinese take away I’ve ever had and I’m from central London which says a lot. I will definitely be back.

There are lot of Chinese options in the area, but China Town has become our go-to. Good quality and portion sizes, not expensive and always manage to deliver the food hot and within a reasonable time on busy Friday or Saturday nights. Thanks and well done to the whole team

The food was bland, the only taste was grease . Won't be back here . One star was generous.

We have used this Chinese for years and not had many problems with them but last night 13/1/24 we placed an order at 6.20,after an hour we rang and was told it was out for delivery. A while later it still hadn’t arrived so rang again to be told it was still in their restaurant and they then said the delivery driver had broken down. It eventually arrived at 8.20, it had been microwaved,the chips fell through the bag,the rice was clumped together and the curry sauce was congealed.We threw it away. They have refunded us and I spoke to them today and was told they had problems with their staff.The owner actually said to me that she wasn’t happy with the rice so why send it out. I told them I have emailed the environmental health and I was going to leave them a bad review on here and he said I was blackmailing him!! Anyway we won’t be using them again.

I'm disappointed! Came here after not having visited for a couple of years and honestly wonder why I did as the food is diabolical and shameful to call it chinese. Lacking flavour, slapdash and just terrible. We had mixed starters, salt and pepper chili squid and Singapore fried noodles. The noodles was the worst, what on earth were they thinking? Super noodles would have tasted better than this. Fool me as I should have just gone a bit further to Great Wall. How on earth does this place survive? Never again. Only saving grace was the absolutely lovely lady at the front desk. She should move on though! I'd be ashamed to work here...

Ordered shredded crispy chilli beef which wasn’t crispy and swamped with sauce and veg to meat ratio was favoured to veg. Kung po chicken was soggy/soft and the chips were undercooked and still hard. The delivery was quick.

After ordering on Uber eats we found that one item was missing from our order. My daughter phoned the restaurant to tell them and was told that it was packed in the order and they didn’t seem interested in the fact that it was definitely missing and would not have fit in the bag which was full and tied very tightly. The person on the phone was very rude and basically implied that we were lying.As a consequence my husband was missing his dinner. Appalling customer service. Will not be ordering from them again.

Tried to order a delivery, however got told to stay on hold - I heard a man in the shop through the phone say it’s okay take the phone first to which the lady responded no it’s okay I’ve told them to hold. Now I wouldn’t have minded however then the second customer a woman started ordering after asking what she wants. I didn’t wait for the 3rd customer as I decided I can go elsewhere and to be honest, it was a good move as we ended up with a lovely Chinese from a different company, not much further away. We will no longer be ordering from this restaurant.

Food come very hot so that’s a good start delivery was a little late but it was a Saturday night so I can expect that. some of the food like there ribs and rice was nice the bbq sauce was lovely but the curry was terrible half a container and most of it was massive onions to fill the pot up all there container sizes are small anyway. plus half a bag of chips not good. I probably wouldn’t return.

Friendly and polite staff. Open on Mondays, not like many Chinese take-away locally! Will adapt your order to your preferences, mine being Vegetarian rice with pineapple and cashew nuts.

Went to shop and picked up a menu , ordered food for delivery and was quoted £41.70. food arrived piping hot but the Roast duck and pineapple was missing the duck - albeit a slither and all fat!!! Phone to complain and was told that duck was expensive, but if we wanted another one we needed to pay. We did get a replacement, but the customer service was not forthcoming. Also when food arrived the menu provided was different to the one i was given in the shop as the prices had gone up on all the meals and i was actually overcharged by £2.80. Would not use this restaurant again as the portions are small as #33 was supposed to be large and was the same size as all the other items

THE best Chinese food to get in Romford! The food quality is amazing and I have never been disappointed :) the past few years I have been ordering from here and highly recommend anyone who loves good Chinese food to go there.

Regretfully disappointing food and service this evening from China Town. Our order took 1hr 45mins to arrive. I called after 70 mins of ordering to ask when we can expect our food, only to be then told that they were having any issues with the online ordering system and they are only just cooking the order. Can I suggest in future, that you call your customers who have ordered to explain any issues your having that will cause a significant delay in them receiving their order. We had a large order which was for a birthday, our kids were upset due to how long the order took to arrive, I'm sure you can fully appreciate how frustrated we were as parents. The food itself was was abysmal, chicken balls were swimming in grease, foo yung wasn't fully cooked and also was swimming in 'egg juices' The prawn toast was literally nuked to within an inch of its life, and the crispy shredded chilli beef was anything but it's title, it was cold and soft. Finally the sauce with the barbeque spare ribs was tasteless. The only items on our order that were just about salavgable was the noodles and rice. Absolutely disgraceful, waste of money and completely ruined a birthday treat we were all looking forward to as a family! Definitely won't be ordering from China Town anymore! The fact that China Town doesn't even reply to it's dissatisfied customer's on Google speaks volumes about their ethics! Disgusting 👎🏻

Very poor effort once again from China Town this evening. May another complaint this evening with the poor service received from this take away that continually increase there costs. Will certainly NEVER be ordering from this restaurant again. When I made my complaint this evening all they said was "we are sorry". This does not cut it on this occasion the food served I wouldnt serve to a dog and perhaps that's the meat they have used.

I was recommended China Town so decided to pay a visit over the Easter Bank Holiday but was disappointed. I ordered Singapore chilli noodles and deep fried chilli beef hot. The noodles had some kind of curry spice and we're yellowish in color, the noodles were all in bits as well, absolutely disgusting in fact couldn't even eat them had a few mouthful and thre them out. The deep fried chilli beef was swimming in what looked like a sweet and sour sauce with chilli added, you could count the pieces of beef. Very poor quality and would never go back or recommend to anyone.

Definitely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. On top of that some items were missing or had been replaced by others. Steer clear.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Delivery speedy. Food was sadly poor quality and worst Chinese I've tasted (and I am Chinese). Dry Bbq pork in some thick sour sauce rather than being juicy, beef in black bean sauce didn't even taste or look like beef, fried noodles soggy and separate from contents which were a few hours overcooked. Oh and just about every meat dish was in the same weird orangey sticky sauce even though different options were selected. Will not order again.

Best Chinese I've had for years 5 star food

Ordered a delivery too early as didnt know the restaurant wasnt opened - emailed as stated on their website to cancel the order 45 minutes before it was due. No response on phone either and food arrived at 5pm sharp. Called to tell of the mistake and got a refund however the delivery driver was extremely rude and confrontational starting an argument with my partner over what we should of done!! Get some professionalism!

The best food and service Ever❤️I found this little germ take away some time ago now and always had only pleasant experience. The food is so tasty and the wait is literally non existing🙏🏼 They have only once accidentally delivered different order (Via Uber Eats) As soon as I called, they were already expecting me calling, they confirmed with me my address and they redelivered in ONLY 2 minutes and offered to keep the rest of the previous order.Mainly they had absolutely "can do attitude " The gentleman apologised with smile on his face and also gave me extra prawn toasts.I highly recommend this place.P.S. They also do the best chicken soup🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Not impressed tonight.. Phoned at 6.43pm for home delivery of order.. Was told 1 hour 10 Mins. Arrived at 9.03pm..afte 2 phone calls saying its on its way. Not happy.

Customer service is very bad. I placed an order for salt and pepper ribs and special fried rice. 30 mins later i received rice and prowns. Called back regarding the mistake and the guy over the phone said im talking nonsense and its my fault. How rude. Bad service 👎🏾👎🏾

Great taste, great speedy delivery.

Poor quality meal. Dry ribs were fine. Fried rice was brown, clumpy and had absolutely zero taste. Sweet and sour chicken “balls” were OK, but again bland and flavourless. Not recommended.

I love this place. Always best service.

Service has been much better in the past. Tonight however waited an hour after ordering and then rang up to find out where our order was. Told it was on its way but still took 15mins. Despite order being made on line, so order was very clear, they delivered chicken balls instead of prawn balls. My daughter is a vegetarian and felt physically sick after biting into one. Doubtful will order from them again. Time to order elsewhere.

Your beef with green pepper black bean sauce had no beef in it. It was full of onions. I’m very disappointed in the quality of the food. Do better next time

I have a horrible experience with this takeaway I made and order on-line. Got a call from the restaurant telling me they will not be delivering my order as I was not in the delivery zone. I explained that I didnt know and my order and payment have already gone through. The guy on the phone started shouting at me telling me it's my fault that I should have called them and ask if they deliver to my area. I explained that I put in Chinese takeaway near me and this one came up also when I was ordering it did not say I was too far for delivery. I even ask them to deliver and I'll pay the extra charge but they refused and said that I would have to wait days before I even get a refund. Customer service is disgusting will never order from them again

Just had my first meal delivered from here, it was top notch. Very freah, tasty and hot. Cannot fault it and we’ve had a lot of romford local deliveries! Tried the Thai special fried rice for a change, was gorgeous and the ribs were succulent and fresh! Wven the chips my daughter has to have were crispy and dry not the usual doughy and wet. Btw I’m not paid for this review haha.

Last two times iv ordered its been delivered within 10 minutes of phoning up to order it. Everything was cold apart from the chips. Very disappointed as first time i ordered it was lovely

We spent £30 on a leavers meal. And it was absolutely appalling. The ribs we so dry you had to wash it down before you swallowed. Chow mein hardly any meat I could go on.. Not the best service I must say....

Ordered at 22:10 via the web and it was accepted with payment taken. Unfortunately after a number of calls prior to closing there was no answer and no delivery. Why take an order and payment for something you aren’t going to fulfill! Totally unacceptable and will not use again.

We always order from this takeaway and have never had a bad meal. The food is delicious and arrives hot. The staff are lovely and friendly. We order from here most sundays.

They got the order wrong, argued over it, delivered a replacement but wanted wrong meal back, which we were told on phone to eat. Bit disappointed as ruined nice meal. Won’t be using again.

First time of trying this take-away- not bad. Will try again with request to cut down on salt and add bit more flavour- garlic, oyster sauce etc.( not M.S.G. though!) Nicely cooked meat, prawns, noodles. 30-40 minutes delivery from 1.5 miles away and free over £12. 3 stars for now -will adjust as necessary after 2nd/3rd try.

Looked on line for Best Chinese Takeaway. This was like going back in time when Chinese Food was Authentic and Original Flavours! The Best Chinese I've eaten in years! Actual pieces of Chicken in rice and Curry....he Beef in Blackburn Sauce...h! My! Actual Slithers of tender Succulent Beef! Crispy Pancake Rolls and what a shock Juicy Tender Spare Ribston in Bbq Sauce. Not forgetting actual Crispy Crunchy Prawn Crackers. Can deliver to Hilldene for an Adition charge So Collected journey took less 10minutes. Thank you China Town Excellent service and Value

Food arrived hot. Very tasty, even the curry sauce had good flavour, good portion size. prawn crackers & a choice of drink or rice extra free! Delivery driver was pleasant & the person who answered the phone was efficient & pleasant. All in all a great service & as long as it stays the same great service then this is the only local Chinese takeaway for us now. Thanks.

One word.....Outstanding!! I struggle with Chinese takeaways, as the food is either bland or there's too much seasoning. I'd actually got to the point where I just didn't want to order any more. I am really happy I took a chance with China Town. The food is delicious, hot and tastes freshly cooked, which is exactly what you want from a takeaway. The Sweet and Sour Prawn Balls are especially good. The service with a smile is a refreshing change and I must say, it's the best Chinese I have had for a long time. I will definitely be going back. Good job guys xx
