The corn bread had no sauce no toppings just chucked in a bag at £5 each was not impressed they wouldn’t serve it like that in there restaurant

Extra Halloumi fries didn’t come with main & when they did were not great so didn’t eat them & got refunded. Half a chicken was way too small should’ve said something when it was brought over but didn’t. So for the cost £56 which had 20% off (BLD) wasn’t value for money. Also the cheesy garlic bread was oily & doughy, again should’ve said something. I like Harvester but it really can be hit or miss when you go there. Service was good so I did tip.

Christmas day menu.We chose our food 3 weeks before Christmas, the dessert we got wasn't what was on the menu. No condiments on the table, no cranberry sauce. The child meal had no Yorkshire pudding, no pig in blankets, no cranberry sauce or parsnip. For what we paid for four adult meals and one child meal it wasn't worth the money won't be going again.

It was Christmas Day, we had different starters and desserts but we all had the Roast Turkey dinner as our main. We all enjoyed all our courses. The staff were rushed off their feet but they were all cheerful, polite, friendly and helpful and provided us with excellent service. We would definitely have Christmas Day dinner here again and are happy to recommend this venue, we had a great experience 👍🏻

3 of us booked your restaurant on Sunday..we all had steak and it was awful...none of us ate it...the peas were cold and the chips weren't nice either. Didn't have to pay for the meals. We decided to have a hot dessert but as they still hadn't come out we decided to leave...the table next to us also left after waiting 30 minutes too...Will not be going back...

A Comedy of Errors at Harvester – First and Last Visit If I could give this Harvester fewer stars, I’d have to invent a black hole rating system. Let’s start from the beginning: I had the distinct pleasure of becoming an honorary member of the staff for the evening. You see, upon arrival, there were no menus to be found, no staff in sight, and a vibe that screamed “every man for himself.” Like a brave explorer in a desolate land, I ventured to the waiter’s station, seized some menus, and distributed them to our party. Next, I took on the role of salad bowl porter, because the Harvester team clearly thought this was a BYO-Everything kind of establishment. Things went from bad to worse when the food arrived. “Cold and bland” doesn’t quite capture the essence of the meals served to us – they were more of a culinary crime scene. The kids were served meatballs so hard they could’ve been repurposed as cricket balls. When we mentioned this to the staff, we were met with an Olympic-level refusal to take them off the bill. Perhaps Harvester’s motto is “we serve it, you pay for it, no exceptions.” Then came my pièce de résistance: a Sunday roast featuring raw chicken. Now, I love a plot twist, but I wasn’t expecting salmonella roulette with my lunch. Naturally, I pointed this out to the waitress, who seemed to be auditioning for a role in The Great British Shrug-Off. No apology, no replacement meal, no effort to rectify the situation – just a silent removal of my plate and a tacit agreement that I would be going hungry. Delightful. The manager? Oh, bless him, he was like a deer in headlights, stumbling around in a fog of chaos, utterly overwhelmed by the bedlam. It was as though he’d been parachuted in from another career entirely – perhaps he was a former juggler who lost control of his balls. Whatever the case, he offered no leadership, no solutions, and certainly no reason to return. And the crowning glory of this farce? Someone in our party ordered a double espresso and was served two individual espressos – both stone cold. A Harvester twist on the classic riddle: “What’s worse than no coffee? Two bad coffees.” The mind boggles. It’s safe to say this was my first and last visit to Harvester. If chaos, apathy, and culinary disasters are your thing, this place might be right up your alley. For me, I’ll be taking my appetite elsewhere. Bon appétit – just not here!

Wow what an improvement. We had breakfast with santa, it was great. The staff were amazing, santa was amazing. They made it really special for my daughter.

That good that I had to go a compliment the chief myself as service and food was brilliant. Definitely coming back again!

Harvester Gidea Park has quickly become our safe place for a quick, informal and delicious dinner with a great atmosphere. Especially in these festive days, atmosphere is particularly amazing. Thank you Harvester Gidea Park staff!

Food was shocking loaded fries was cold, put a hot sauce on chicken kebab when I ordered bbq sauce wouldnt go back!

We were a party of 9. Half the salad bar was missing. There was no salt on the table and no mustard was available “subject to availability”. No jacket potatoes and the bacon in the burgers was cold or only lukewarm. The lettuce garnishes were limp and there was no butter, only margarine with the rolls. The steak was very leathery and missing garnishes. We did complain and the manager explained there had been high demand for jackets and mustard was on order. She apologised and offered us free desserts and asked if that would resolve our complaint. We agreed that would acceptable.

Me and my partner came for his birthday and we was served by Nathan, he was absolutely lovely and even looking at the fact that he had so many other tables to serve he still didn’t seem bothered about the amount of times we called him. At the end I met the lovely Hayley and she complimented my bag. The workers here are genuine people and are 100% the reason me and my partner will be returning.

Visited today for lunch. The food was delicious and I tried some new bits from the new menu would recommend the banoffe delight waffle from the new menu as that was a good way to finish off a delicious lunch. Received excellent service from our server Charlotte was excellent and very helpful.

On the 27th October i came in the evening. The meal was lovely and i was served by Hayley. Hayley was a great waiter, she provided an excellent and efficient service and was very kind. Hayley did her job well and checked up on us to make sure we was attended too.

Small portions. overcooked chicken. found a burnt potato which I didn't order. The salad was small with not much selection.

Without a doubt the best Harvester we have been to. Food was great and speedy, restaurant was extremely tidy and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be back soon!

We decided to pop in for lunch after my baby nieces funeral, there was 8 of us so not the smallest of tables. The food was lovely and the service was excellent until it came to end of our experience and one member of our party wanted to use a Blue Light Discount. The server (we won’t name), came across quite hostile when it came to asking for proof of discount (NHS card and App ID wasn’t enough). This was an incredible disappointment considering one of our meals had been forgotten from the order and one of our party was left waiting. The manager shortly came to our aid and assisted with the discount. He was very kind and considerate after hearing about the sad day we’d had and it made my grieving sister feel a lot better, which was a kind touch. Thanks to our server Bee and the manager (sorry hun we deffo didn’t catch your name!!)

Hadn't been for years, loved it even more

I took my mum for lunch and service took ages. We was seated and everything took so long placing order , receiving the order , then waiting 30 mins from clearing table to placing order for dessert. I had the fish and chips which for something that is deep fried you would expect to be crispy but it was soggy and the only reason I didn't send it back was because of the time I had already waited to eat. Just really disappointed with the whole visit.

3rd visit to the restaurant. 1st time was positive the last two wasn't. Plenty of seating but they tried seating a family in the bar area close to the toilets, and was a bit awkward when asked for better seating, dispite loads of empty tables I was told they were fully booked, but luckily for us one other table was available. Within the time we were there only 2 new customers came in. This happened the last two times. On the second visit, we were told there was no space despite loads of seating, I went to the car park and reserved a table and went back 5minutes later forcing them to seat us. Took 20mins to be served, food cam quick but was barely seen after. Took another 10mins to wait chase someone down for the bill. Not a great experience, didn't feel welcome. Won't be going back for a 4th time.

Calum was the best, nicest attendant/waiter that you could wish for. Service and food was lovely. First time my cousin and I have been here, normally go to The Compasses in Hornchurch but the lady on the door is a miserable lady and last time we went the food took ages to turn up and wasn’t that good. A refreshing change at this pub and such lovely service provided by Calum, he is a credit to your company, a nice, young lad with manners. You need more of him.

We ate here for my mothers birthday and had a great time, she can be a bit fussy with food but Andrew (I think he was the manager) was very helpful and accommodating for us, the food came hot and quick so we couldn’t have been happier :)

Had a lovely meal here a few days ago with friends and it was perfect. Our server Callum was excellent as he was very kind and friendly. Despite having a baby with us also he was interactive with him and patient with us. The food was great I would recommend!

One staff member was really rude.The waitress was waiting on far to many tables at once.Salad cart was disappointing. Kept hitting my head on the light above my table,far to low.Didnt like it here at all.The food was fine.

Had a lovely family meal here last week. Food was great & the waitress couldn’t do enough for us. Manager even popped out to say hello & check everything was in order.

We used to live in the area and were back for a family celebration and thought we'd stop by one of our old haunts! Service and atmosphere were great and the food was really great! we left full and happy. The kids got dessert, but I couldn't manage it this time. We'll be back next time we're in town!

This is the Harvester at Gidea Park. Great food selection, especially if you like chicken and have kids. Brilliant service, always with a smile. A few months on and we're back again, same great staff and we'll priced food.

If you’re looking for burgers and chips or ribs and chicken nuggets then this is oven ready heaven… popped in for a nice Sunday roast … waited 5 mins for a table and a menu… and after a £4 mini bottle Coca Cola was extremely disappointed to find that harvester restaurants are now nothing more than an expensive jazzed up burger bar where the only thing that’s roasted are the peanuts… it was busy though I will say that

Service was really really bad Resturant half empty and didn't seem to be able to deal with a table for 2 as a walk in Ordered drinks and then waited 20 minutes for them to bring over 2 empty glasses for the refill drink Salad bar half empty, then had to stand there for over 10 minutes while they scrambled to refill after I brought it to staff members attention Then got starters before finishing salad because of the really long wait at salad bar Waited to order dessert for over 20 minutes with dirty plates on the table before flagging someone down and asking to order. The resturant was still half full at this point. Won't be returning to this branch as this was my first visit here, typically I goto the greyhound in seven kings or the beehive in gants Hill as the service is a lot better.

Of course the salad is good. Always has been. We had a couple of steaks, rump and Sirloin which were both a tad overcooked (ordered 1 rare, 1 medium) as they both came out well done. I wasn't expecting Miller and Carter but the quality was average at best. Still my grandson enjoyed the dessert so not a lost evening. Total was just over £30 a head and for the overall quality was a tad overpriced. I will go again but stick with the good stuff- chicken and ribs that I usually have.

We received a warm greeting when we arrived at the restaurant. Our waiter was extremely hospitable and attentive. Unfortunately while processing our order an error was made, so one meal that arrived was completely incorrect. The meal was returned to the kitchen and there was a significant wait time for the correct meal to arrive. This meant that unfortunately we ate our meals separately. The waiter was extremely apologetic throughout and compensated us with a complimentary dessert as a way of an apology. 5 stars were achieved for hospitality and the genuine apology received.

Free salads were missing from order and toppings were missing from potato salad and coleslaw. Great shame, as the food we did receive was good but too many mistakes have been made with our orders, so we won’t be ordering again.

This branch used to be excellent, we generally drive past our local branch to get to this place but never again.... Jamie the branch supervisor was and still is brilliant. We were seated straight away, had to wait 10 mins before we were greeted by the waitress (Sharon). We ordered and had to wait another 10mins for salad bowls and even then only after asking. We then had to wait a further 10mins for drinks (again after having to ask Sharon) Food arrived after a further 20mins - cold to warm. The worst part: 1. 2 other parties arrived at the restaurant after us but received their mains before we got our salad bowls.... 2. There was hair in the Ketchup bottle on our table. On telling Sharon, rather than replacing it, she proceeded to squirt a portion of the bottle out and handed it back to us????? On ordering desert for the children, we asked for certain items to be replaced by other items - something that Harvester has always done for us..... however on this occasion, we were told "Harvester never do this" we insisted and all of a sudden it was available after all..... I personally don't mind it when waiters/waitresses are busy, but Sharon plainly just couldn't be bothered. Extremely disappointed, will not come here again.

I didn’t even wanna give a one star service was terrible Sharon the lady who took our order didn’t know what she was doing walked past us more than once and for the guy behind the bar don’t think he wanted to be there food was horrible my mum ask for a well done steak and it was more medium and and the pint of cider come half full absolute joke
