Went here because greyhound is closed. Much better service in the greyhound. The staff are really lovely but the service is slow. Had to ask twice for the bill we just wanted to leave in the end. Food okay. Salad bar was bare and completely messy! Wont be returning sadly but the staff are lovely so thats a bonus.

Booked from Australia and spoke to Charlotte who was AMAZING, and easily confirmed our booking. My husband and l were there to see a sister (now in her 80s)in a once in a lifetime trip to the UK. Charlotte was our door greeter and also our waitress (she remembered me straight away), which made it extra special. As it was my husband’s birthday in a few days time, she also brought out his sweet with a lit candle and singing Happy Birthday. She did everything in her power to create a very special memory - apart from the wonderful Charlotte the food was fantastic . Chicken skewers with satay sauce, and two servings of fish and chips all with endless salad bar available. Followed by warm chocolate fudge cake and lemon amazing desert (can’t remember name). All very tasty and beautifully presented. Thank you Harvester Restaurant and ESPECIALLY CHARLOTTE!!!b

The lady that showed us to our table was quite rude so our start wasn't that great but the lady that was serving us was amazing she really made our experience good. Hayley made sure we felt welcomed 😌 and she was very fast and was always happy to help zx

My ribs were hard and burnt, when i went to use my discount for the food as i work for Mitchells and butlers the server wouldn't accept my 33% off because i sent it to my friend as my phone was dead.

We went to Havester in Gidea Park, Romford. The food...dinner and dessert was amazing, the atmosphere was 10/10 and the staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning. Our server Kimberley was really nice and attentive even though they were super busy, she had a smile on her face and was very jolly.

We had a great evening in the harvester after recently being diagnosed with celiac disease I was anxious to go out for dinner. Calum our waiter went above and beyond making me feel comfortable and going through the menus and even asked the chef questions I had to make sure I had the safest and enjoyable experience. I was very appreciative to have had him as our waiter as I felt comfortable and most important “safe” knowing he was going the extra mile to help me. It was greatly appreciated for our first family meal out and I can’t credit Calum enough! Thank you so much!

If I could give 0 star I would, yesterday me and another female was left stranded at 12:00am. Both our batteries was dead a ginger man in a terrible jumper sipping his beer I could only assume the manager; laughed and said no I completely understand they are not obliged to help but at the kindness of someone heart they wouldn’t leave two females with no charger and no way of getting home. I asked again he wouldn’t even come to the door completely treated me like nothing. I would hope he would help someone’s child. Anything could have happened. Minor steps can change the world, your karma will find you sir.

We had a round table which is so much better for conversation. Food was delicious and good size portions. Our waitress Hayley was really pleasant and friendly, she didn't rush us and was quick to clear away the plates. Overall, Mothers Day was a really lovely experience.

Undoubtedly one of the best Ribeye steaks I've had. Top marks to Sam the Chef, who I was later told had only started working at this restaurant that evening. What a great start, and a valuable member of staff he will be. The steak was a good cut, and was cooked medium rare to perfection. I wish I lived closer. Top marks for this Harvester. March 25.

Came in for lunch on Sunday 16th March with my family. The service from Kass was excellent, and the food cooked by chef Chris was delicious . Will recommend this restaurant and will certainly be coming back.

I visited Gidea park harvester on the 15th March for breakfast. The service was great but the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, I asked my server who the chef was and they mentioned a Guy called Chris. Well done to this guy truly a credit to the company. I will be returning again very soon

I visted the harvester today with my family for lunch and was greeted kindly at the door and the food was so delicious cooked by chris as i got his name from the sign near the salad cart which I found funny

I went to the Harvester today for lunch, and the food was one of the most delicious lunches I've ever had. I asked my waiter who the Chef was and they told me it was Chris. I went to thank him for the meal and he was the nicest guy I've met and a very good looking guy too, you can tell he's been working out. Thanks for the meal Chris because of you I will be coming back next week for my lunch.

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at The Harvester today! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. The service was impeccable, but what really stood out was the incredible cooking of Chris. Chris truly elevated the meal – the dish was perfectly cooked, flavourful, and presented beautifully. The fish was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, and the chips were crisp and fluffy. It's clear that Chris has a real passion for food and a deep understanding of flavours. I can tell Chris takes pride in his work, and it really made all the difference in our experience. I’ll definitely be returning for more of his fantastic cooking. Thank you to the whole team at The Harvester for making this such a memorable meal!

Was served by a lovely girl called Hayley, she was very polite and professional. The most nicest girl had a nice chat too. If you go to this harvester Hayley is your go to waitress. Great with talking and interacting with my kids too

Lots of fried food - potatoes over fried - chips warm starter was nice so was dessert but next time we go I would have a different main meal

Popped into Gidea Park & our Servicer Ros was brilliant. Nothing was too much. She advised us all along the time we were there. We will definitely got back again. We live closer to Hornchurch but we have decided to always got back to Gidea Park because of the service we received from Ros. Thank you very much Ros.

Was rudely spoken to by the supervisor bee upon arrival , we waited over 20 minutes just to order some drinks upon ordering food we was told most of the items was out of stock! waited over an hour for our food. The service was absolutely appalling! Certainly won't be returning!

Had a great visit here today. Charlotte was super sweet with all her help. Food was tasty - the brownie never fails to make me want dessert!

Went in for lunch for on 1st March to celebrate my dad's birthday a day early, our server Kass was very helpful and she recommend the Glazed Choux Bun for my dessert and I enjoyed it and I was very happy with her suggestion. The food was delicious, and my dad said his steak was cooked perfectly.

One of our family’s favourite places to dine out, staff are always friendly and food is hot and freshly made. Dined here last night as a birthday meal and have to mention Calum who waited our large table who was very attentive and polite despite the restaurant seeming to be short staffed and rather busy, had a very enjoyable time thank you.

I ordered a steak which was cooked ok the problem I ask for English mustard they said they don’t stock it I can’t believe that they are selling steaks without any mustard.

I followed delivery driver on tracking he went completely opposite direction to where I ordered from, and where I wanted it delivered to. So cold food, it said on food containers do not re heat, I do like my delivered food, to be hot, as can be. I don’t enjoy eating cold food! I would have enjoyed it so much more, if it wasn’t cold!

Food was great and very filling. Salad bar was amazing which the kids really enjoyed. Sharon was very helpful and polite.

Tried the new item on the menu very tasty, just a little on the small side for me at 13 quid. Just my opinion.

I have been to harvester in main road Romford this lunch time .The service was absolutely appalling my grandchildren waited over a hour for a ice cream dessert.The waitress avoided eye contact went to other tables around us cleaning and making herself look busy She was very rude not once was we ask if our food was ok.The chips looked and tasted like they had been under the heater for days the flat bread and the rolls where so dry they crumbled as you pulled them apart.The 3 bottles of mayonnaise I went to use was empty .i use the harvester on many occasions mostly at benfleet and never had a issue .

Food was excellent, as we have always experienced, and usually the staff are brilliant. But, on this occasion we have to refer to the review left by Harry Watkins some 5 months earlier. The server Sharon struggled to take our food and drink orders, we had to keep repeating and she was very loud repeating our order back to us. I ordered a diet Pepsi refil which was delivered to our table by a young man who was serving behind the bar, we assume because the servers were rushed off their feet during a very busy half term lunch period. Said young man did not say a word to us and our drinks were placed on the table and my diet Pepsi refil was an empty glass. When I asked Sharon for a diet Pepsi her response was " Don't you want to help yourself, that's why I told you I would give you an empty glass" to which I responded " No, firstly I do not know where the refil station is and secondly you did not tell me you would be giving me an empty glass". We had confirmed with Sharon when we placed our order that we would be having the 2 course lunch menu of main and dessert. After a long period of finishing our main, Sharon asked us if we would like a dessert, which was odd as we had already confirmed this. We said yes but then had to stop Sharon as she passed our table to ask her for the dessert menu, we had to do the same to ask for the bill. We felt we had been waiting around quite a bit and Sharon's response on both occasions was "give me a couple of minutes" but she then walked past us to ask another table with more than just 2 people if they would like further drinks? Doesn't seem to be any changes here in the last 5 months, possibly consider some in-house training. Thank you.

Not very pleasant greeting. I booked table for 10 but there was 11 of us. I understand I should have called ahead to update the booking, but nonetheless, the restaurant was empty and i got a negative attitude from the staff. With appropriate customer service skills, this could have been a quickly and pleasantly. long delay in getting served

The food we had here was lovely, wasn’t too busy and food came out super quick. The chef was friendly when I asked for more salad to be brought out and our waitress Hayley was super friendly and very helpful. We definitely return here in the future.

Came here on Sunday with my partner after telling him how amazing it was. Unfortunately a few things didn’t go right and the meal wasn’t what it was supposed to be, however I literally have to leave this review because Leanne the manager is just incredible. All the staff are to be honest, but I really am so happy with Leanne. She rectified the situation and unfortunately we left before they had finished renewing our rack of ribs. I called when we got home and she remembered me for Tuesday for me and I come back and collect a fresh meal (of what we had paid for) - this totally turned the situation around and for that reason I will always come back. Thank you

Relaxing and enjoyable good value

My Partner and I went for dinner and we were very disappointed. The waitress was not attentive, service was extremely slow and poor (whilst she took a long time with another table working for her tips). We waited a long time for our order to be taken, the coleslaw on the salad bar tasted off, the waitress was also standing around chatting with someone whom I assumed to be the duty manager. We even waiting a long time to pay the bill so we just got up and paid with the waitress at the till because I couldn’t stand being there anymore. I’m sure if you tip them they’ll pay more attention to you but with the poor service we obviously were not going to do that!!

Harvester Unicorn in Gidea Park is always spot on! Food is hot and cooked well, service is fast, and parking is free. Special shout out to Hayley our waitress!

Went evening time Tuesday while the 50%off mains was on. Restaurant was full as expected however service and food was excellent no long waits for anything. Highly recommend this Gidea Park Harvester way better than other locall ones.

Extra Halloumi fries didn’t come with main & when they did were not great so didn’t eat them & got refunded. Half a chicken was way too small should’ve said something when it was brought over but didn’t. So for the cost £56 which had 20% off (BLD) wasn’t value for money. Also the cheesy garlic bread was oily & doughy, again should’ve said something. I like Harvester but it really can be hit or miss when you go there. Service was good so I did tip.
