Goose Romford in Havering

Got spiked from this pub. Partner ended up in recus where 4 other victims of spiked people were from the same pub. I would not recommend this pub.

Nice pub - Big garden with huts and ample seating. Quiet at lunchtime but very busy on Friday and Saturday nights.

Went on Saturday for a friend's birthday. Arrived around 3.30...there were 10 of us. We were all having a great time but then later in the evening we were refused to buy anymore drinks the reason given we were intoxicated. We had obviously all had a drink as it was a celebration but in NO way were we that drunk that we couldn't stand up or slurring our words if anything we were having a great time dancing and singing, as were a lot of other people in the pub. 2 of your bouncers actually came over and manhandled one of our friends for absolutely no reason other than he was trying to get a drink at the bar. Things then got a little heated as we all left in disgust. Just to inform you we are all in our late 50s early 60s not young kids drinking whatever they can and falling over etc. We regularly meet in this pub and have always has a great time. We will NOT be coming back again which is a shame as we spend a lot of money each time we meet there. I think you need to speak with your staff and reiterate the meaning of being too intoxicated!

Went for a friends birthday, great environment, really good music, amazing beer garden, definitely recommend buying the towers they’re super cool! they have really good deals on shots too.

Went for lunch on Sunday and to watch Rugby. Food was good and only waited maybe 10 minutes...I am diabetic and the staff came to tell me when my food was 5 mins from arrival ,without me asking,which I felt was lovely of them. Had such a nice atmosphere that before we knew it was 8pm.The staff are friendly,helpful and the 'bouncers' were lovely.Good Sports coverage as they were showing 2 football matches and the Rugby... ..definitely recommend!!!!

Avoid at all cost. A few of us was watching the rugby between ourselves when we were suddenly ask to leave by a bouncer (who was really nice btw). We asked why and all he could say was the manager wanted us out but he was as confused as we was. We said we were leaving after the rugby anyway (15 minutes left) he was okay with that. I asked if i could ask the manger why but she hid out the back. We honestly believe it was because the evening people were coming in and they've not taken our money now get out. We wasn't loud at all and was just enjoying the game they put on. I wouldn't give them other penny now and we all decided to do the same. On other moan, a young blonde girl who was serving was so miserable that we tried to avoid her.

Amazing place, unless you want fish and chips. 😂 The Steak Pie and chips are really good though. The employees are great. I will be back nightly while I am here in Romford. 14Feb: the place is busy, as expected, but the bartenders were on thier game and took care of the patrons quickly. A+

Overall the place is so nice and very attractive, food is delicious, Except the service and the FOH people. Really felt unhappy with them, because even though we thank and appreciating their work, they didn't care about us. Last bu not least, im sorry to say, Especially with the Guinness draught, if you can't subtle the beer and don't have patience to pour beer, please stop selling it.

Staff are always so helpful when it came to food and drinks orders, they have a wonderful selection of every drinks and shot. The pub has an amazing atmosphere and a beautiful sized beer garden. Perfect for a night out with friends 10/10 I love coming here.

great old fashioned back street pub. Lovely welcome and great service. a good variety of beer. A most enjoyable place to drop in for a drink.

Possibly the worst customer experience I have had . Racist staff members humiliated me for a minor reason. Not the first time they did it but 3 times. But the last time was unacceptable. I will never visit the pub again. Untrained stuff and security guards.

I went this last sat.23rd nov. to go in garden have pints of dark fruits cider(well priced at £4 a pint) compared to ALOT of places,watch my team CHELSEA play Leicester in prem league 12.30 p.m. kick-off and having been to the Goose wiv a good mate from windsor (9 months ago-dtinkin from 3 p.m. till 11 p.m.) had them and last sat. i had a GREAT TIME,THAT is DEFINITELY my pub of CHOICE in ROMFORD=STAFF ARE EXCELLENT,FRIENDLY and HELPFUL,PUNTETD ARE VARIED=SOME COME FOR FOOTBALL,SOME JUST TO SOCIALISE...AND THE FOOD'S GOOD AD WELL!! BASICALLY I'M GIVING THIS PUB 10/10!! I THOROUGHLY RECCOMEND IT,THE "BEST" BOOZER IN ROMFORD AND LOOKING GOREARD TO GOING AGAIN,THANKS,ALL THE BEST Piers AKA Chopper.

Chilled out place for a couple of drinks

The selection of Lilley’s Ciders was great, pineapple one especially was brilliant. Atmosphere was banging, would absolutely recommend!

Had a few guiness’ perfectly poured. Jess and Jake were perfect. Come every weekend and the music is great everytime in beer garden.

I arrived at the venue today, the pub had a good atmosphere where the music was at a good level. With the weather being all over the place the garden has a tent so was a great place to still sit and have a drink. Will recommend to come here to all my friends for a quiet drink during the day time.

Came in for late lunch the other day, the person serving me was so friendly with a big smile. I made sure to get her name (Jurate). She made me and my partner feel so welcomed and put a smile on our faces. Food was good for the price and didn't have to wait to long. Would come back here any time.

The barman on arrival was more interested in chatting to 'a friend's than serving my son. Approx 12.15. My son then went and ordered 2 meals, mine was fish and chips and specifically NO peas. Nobody else in the pub appeared to be eating, yet we waited 45minutes. This was a good time to have a catch up with my son, hence we said nothing, yet he was due at night work in london. The same barman brought our food ( PEAS ON MINE, and asked if we needed condiments, yes please I replied and possibly a little more tartare? That'll be 50p he said. I replied quite calmly as to not embarrass my paying son, that I thought it a little unfair as they were specifically asked no peas (I sometimes have a reaction) well it'll be 50p, he curtly replied. My son said that's fine. I then removed the peas onto my sons plate and proceeded to try to enjoy. The batter was burnt, no tartare ever arrived, but to be honest, there wasnt enough fish inside to warrant it. My son, a growing lad, did eat his as he is working through night in canary wharf until 6am. Very disappointed and dissatisfied ☹

Was served by Molly who was very helpful and gave amazing service. Ordered food aswell which was very tasty with a short wait time.

Came for food which was surprisingly good. Heating was on full blast so very uncomfortable. Drunk old men shouting loudly. Staff attitudes were the worst I've ever encountered. Plates slammed down on the table. No pleases or thanks when ordering at the bar. Really poor experience. Used to be a great pub. Everyone who was working looked like they didn't want to be there and showed it in their service.

Didn’t buy food. Just met friends for drinks midweek. Ideally situated near the railway station. Close to the shops to. Staff were very friendly and keep the tables clear of empty glasses. Nice outdoor area to sit out on a nice day.

Massive outside area, fully equipped with tv's, plenty of seating. Good atmosphere, amazing steak meal. Staff are friendly and vibe is good in there.

Staff are rude been coming this pub for a few years now got a pint of cider but think staff are trying to multi tasking serving me and another person got the wrong drink took it back and the staff were looking at me like I done something wrong I will never come in again disgraceful staff sort you staff out

I went to the Goose in the week with a couple of friends. The food was excellent. I was served by a lady called Molly she was extremely helpfully in regards to ordering drinks, very professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend going there.

Would like to say I’ve lived in Romford all my like and the goose is a very fun hospitable place and there’s a barmaid in there called molly that I’ve noticed , she’s always happy and ready to help makes the place welcoming , highly recommend

Located opposite Romford rail station (London Overground, Elizabeth Line and national rail) and bus stops, this huge pub is ideally situated. It has a large selection of beers and ciders, many on tap and at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, don't even try to get in on a Friday or Saturday night as it gets absolutely manic! Selection of evening entertainment is on most nights, and the bar staff are attentive. The pub is pretty clean and does serve food. A huge outdoor section is a plus, especially in the heart of the town.

Penny was lovely l. Rest of the staff was moody but she was happy and cheerful.

I came to the goose today and can’t big Penny up enough, she was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Her smile was very contagious and just made our evening over all. Thank you Penny you are a legend!!!

This place was filthy yesterday evening. Dirty tables, floor, toilets - not just messy but dirty - clearly hadn’t been cleaned all day (maybe longer). Wasn’t busy so no excuse. Staff yawning, disinterested, unfriendly and one was quite rude. She may have been new and didn’t know what to do but that isn’t the customers concern. Haven’t been here for a long time so I don’t know if this is usual, however I won’t be back to find out.

You cannot understand each other at the table, the music is excessively loud. Between 2-3 PM.

Ended up here by chance, only because the nearby Wetherspoons is temporary closed. It was a real fun Friday night. Busy, with a great DJ playing all the good tunes and keeping the customers happy (excellent at his job.) We enjoyed the whole experience. Great atmosphere.

Great hang out I’ve been going to this place for 6 years and having someone new come in and make the place way more chilled and friendly. Jay z gave the most graceful experience and his customer service and hospitality experience is really good and great for this company. Well done the goose for stepping up.
