Ordered for the first time tonight and the pizza was amazing. Wish I had tried here sooner!

They only start preparing takeaway orders (deliveroo) when the drivers arrive to the restaurant. This results in, generally, a delay of 10-15 min which is the time preparing the order. So if you order through deliveroo add 10-15 min extra to the time the app tells you the driver is gonna arrive. I'm a driver myself and this restaurant always operated in this way. This could be more as sometimes the driver ends up rejecting the order after 10 min waiting resulting in more time to find somebody that accepts the order and travel's to the restaurant. Been rejecting orders specially on fridays but from time to time I accept one just to see if they improved but no still the same. Edit: I understand it's hard to get the orders prepared at the same time when it's busy but you should aim to start preparing before the driver arrives. What's been done for more than an year is starting preparing when the driver arrives. The good rating is due to the good product that you serve. The pizzas have quality indeed but there's no competitors in the area so people don't have another option apart of waiting more 15-20 mins to get their pizzas delivered.

Someone I know said they do very good pizzas so as a Italian I had to try and to be honest is the best one I ve eaten in Essex. Very good service and fast take away.

Personally the best pizza I've had in the UK. Hoping they open for lunchtime during the summer.

What an amazing place. Decor rustic and industrial, loved it! Pizza wa a truly one of the best I have ever eaten and I have eaten a few!!! Crisp thin base and sweet tomato base. Tried the Butternyt base sauce, also very nice but I’ll stick with tomato thanks. The Nduja pizza was my choice but tbh, the Funghi pizza was by far my favourite. Well done Chef and also superb front of house! Loved it and defo be returning very soon.

Great hidden jem, not far from Romford. If you like Pizza you definitely have to give them a try. Expect something different then Domino's or Papa John's. This is actual pizza (Italian Style) with a really thin base and a mix of ingredients meant to give your taste buds a unique experience.

Wanted to come for a while. Visiting mother-in-law so came… bloody wish I hadn’t waited! Pizzas are on point. What makes it, is the very planned and very cheffy unusual toppings. Really really great. Pickyness; more beee choices. Maybe a draught tap? But honestly I’m looking for gripes. Boys, doing a sterling job. WAT HERE PEOPLE!!!

Been here twice in the last week. On Saturday we ate in and were squeezed in last minute without a table which was great. It’s a small place but nice and rustic. All of our pizzas were great but my son’s pizza with salami was too spicy for him (we didn’t realise it said spicy salami on their chalkboard menu on the wall). My wife and I’s pizzas were fabulous. What caught us by surprise was £3.25 for 11 olives, £2.00 for a tiny pot of chilli oil and 50p for chilli flakes. Never been charged for chilli oil or flakes even in Napoli. Understand they’re a new business but there was no warning of this and not even the chalk board let me know. Waitress tried to say it’s on there but admitted it wasn’t after I challenged her. Tonight we ordered and was told to be there at 6:15. Arrived on time. Was told it’ll be a further 5mins at 6:17. At 6:28 I was approached for payment and when I asked how long, was told it’ll be another 2 mins. At 6:37 it’s finally in my hands. Didn’t appreciate the poor service. Aside from that, the pizza just didn’t taste the same. We live 5 mins away by car. Dough was chewy and didn’t have that great rich taste especially with ingredients like the beef for the Manzo pizza. Maybe it was just an off day but Saturday was just as busy so don’t understand the difference. A sorry for being 22mins later than told and keeping my car running wasn’t great with no gesture of goodwill to truly say sorry. Do better guys because the Saturday on pizza was phenomenal and learn to manage expectations better. Edit 11/04/24 - thanks for taking the time to respond Matt, most appreciated. Learnt something too about the steam in the box. However, you are wrong about chilli oil being £1. My wife and I both saw the receipt which clearly stated £2.00 Chilli oil. Maybe we were double charged then? As for the cost of chilli oil, totally understand economics behind the decision. as someone who also makes his own chilli oil using good quality olive oil imported from Spain but still don’t think this should be charged. Even the way it was provided in a small round metal dish was a messy way of pouring onto our pizzas. Either way, thanks for taking the feedback onboard. We will be back for more in the future.

There is not much to say more than this place is definitely the best pizza restaurant in Romford. Really good job, guys 🤙🤙🤙

My children had a pizza making class with Matt and we were all blown away. The information we learnt and the pizzas itself were another level! Highly recommend. Can't wait to return. Thank you for a lovely few hours. Kids loved it.

Seriously the best pizza I've ever tasted! The atmosphere is a relaxed, laid back vibe with friendly staff and the food options are just the right amount to not get lost for choice. If you want authentic pizza, no need to go to Italy, just come here. Sensational! Definitely will go back very soon as this is my new fave pizza spot! Thanks guys 😋

Great service, friendly atmosphere and authentic pizza.

We came for the pizza making course between Christmas and New Year and would highly recommend. The owner Matt walked and talked us through the process from start to finish and was extremely patient (some of the pizzas were less circular than others!) My partner and I have a pizza oven at home (we buy our dough from Ped’s too) and we were able to learn a lot more about how to level up our pizza making. My sister and her partner hadn’t made pizza from scratch before, but were able to do so and enjoy doing so with Matt’s guidance. Food and drinks were all included and we all really enjoyed our afternoon. We regularly eat here as the food & service is great and the price is very reasonable too. Will be back soon!

Takeaway delivery cold, very expensive and generally poor.

As a local we've been here a few times and it never disappoints! Ped's is a must for any pizza fan, the pizzas are so delicious and there is a great selection of options on the menu. Also a huge fan of the crust dippers and Ichnusa beers!

First time here, was a brilliant place to come and have some freshly baked pizza and beverage with my friends and catch up.

Such a cute little place! Food came so fast it felt like we'd barely ordered before it appeared. Without doubt the best pizza we've had outside Naples and this even gave the inventors a run for their money! Can't wait to come back again. How often is too often to come here?

I was very surprised at how good the food was in Peds Pizza! I’m not exaggerating when I say, I ate the best Pizza I’ve ever had! Was perfect size, perfectly cooked . Great price , nice staff . 5 out of 5 from me! Thanks

Very poor quality ingredients, was very much looking forward to this but it disappointed. The garlic ontop the garlic bread was burnt. The meatballs were very poor as well.

Couldn't have the pizza I wanted as they had run out of peppers (there are supermarkets open late pretty much next door so surely an emergency purchase could have been made as limited number of pizzas on the menu). Waitress wasn't great, not very helpful and felt the dine in experience wasn't worth it. Shame had been looking forward to going here since it opened.

Staff are always so friendly, food was amazing. We tried the sun dried tomato with peppers and the margarita, both were gorgeous! And we learnt today that you can buy their dough!! Can’t wait to try it next time xx

Wonderful place to have drink and Neapolitan pizza. We had Zucca pizza with pumpkin cream. It was delicious, all falvours where noticeable, salami was good quality. They had good variety of drinks, Soho not alcoholic one was a pleasant surprise. Toilet was clean and fitted with baby changing station. I'm sure I will visit this place again to try rest of their interesting pizzas.

Been a few times now. All of the food is fresh and tastes delicious. All food is reasonably priced too. Staff are really friendly. Would highly recommend. We shall keep on returning.

Just ordered my first take away pizza from Ped's and it didn't disappoint! Hands down the best pizza around. Fresh ingredients and the pizza dough is👌. Great to have a traditional pizzeria in the area.

Stonkingly good pizza everytime

It’s usually very difficult to find a decent gluten free pizza anywhere. Ped’s pizza have really gone out of their way to cater for people on a gluten free diet, to provide what is probably the best gluten free pizza I have had in the UK!

Tasty pizzas, great atmosphere and a fantastic local spot. We always dine in, love it here and fast becoming regulars!

Ped’s pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in the UK. And I’ve eaten a lot of pizza. The ingredients are so fresh and the dough is spot on. The place itself has a lovely atmosphere and the staff and service is excellent. I’m keen to visit Naples to see if the pizza is as good there as it is at Ped’s!

Peds is easily the best pizza experience outside of Naples! It’s simple ingredients with just a few toppings per pizza but perfectly matched to compliment each other. Matt has taken the time and effort to produce the very best pizza, trust us we have tried a lot! We’ve had take away, delivery and dine in and there is never any compromise on quality.

Eaten here a few times now and always had a lovely meal. The pizza and garlic bread is so fresh and hot. I’m a fan of the Salami Piccante in particular.

After trying Ped's as a takeaway over the last couple of years, it's great to finally try the food at the restaurant. It didn't disappoint! The pizza's were delicious as always, the hot-honey life changing and the burrata...just immense! I love the use of authentic hearty italian ingredients as well as the italian drink selection to match. The staff are really friendly and always go the extra mile! Thanks for an excellent feed...we'll be back very soon!
