It's an OK pub in a location not so easy to find on Google maps. I was 40 minutes late. The pub is well liked and had so many people out was over spilling into the street. The upstairs was rented out for the Patchwork event and it was a good space with drinks and nibbles
available.
Lovely evening with Patchwork colleagues.
Most of the review here tell the same story, all bark no bite. The setting is pleasant, staff are nice enough but the food is bang average & doesn't represent good value in my opinion. There are likely better options locally.
I'm told pre-refit it was better?
Buttermilk chicken was a redeeming factor but really only took this place from a 2 to a 3 star job.
Had a meal here last night with a couple of friends. Was quite a quiet atmosphere when we walked in but this didn’t deter us.
We sat down, and the waitress came and took our order. We got our drinks and our mains, on top of that I ordered a side dish for myself. Here’s the thing, our drinks never turned up and neither did my side dish of popcorn chicken. The mains arrived after about 20 minutes but we were all very underwhelmed by them. I could’ve made a better burger for myself at home.
When we requested the bill, at first the waitress actually brought it to us with the drinks and the side dish we had not received. She swiftly realised these were never brought to us and was apologetic. Too little too late really. The bill was then amended and we paid for the terrible food and experience.
Oh and it gets worse. Just before we headed out I went to the restroom and was followed by another waitress/member of staff who said that, I wasn’t allowed to use the toilets unless I had eaten at the restaurant. I proceeded to tell her that I had had a meal in the diner, to which she responded that she hadn’t realised. We were literally sitting opposite the kitchen in the middle of the quiet diner, and one of the only groups there. I left angrily.
I can only recommend to people that you should never eat at this restaurant. The staff, the food and the overall experience was horrendous.
Ejercicio de pensamiento: su negocio es administrar un bar de cócteles. Tu negocio es exitoso si ganas dinero. Ganas dinero vendiendo bebidas. Usted es el servicio de mesa solamente. Vos si;
! Nunca volveré! ! !
Overpriced and average food. The menu on the door shows much cheaper prices than the menu once you are inside. I asked the guy serving about this and he sniggered that the menu on the door was an old menu. So why not put an up-to-date menu with the correct prices on the door?
I've been coming here once a month for the past few months but always bought alcohol. Tonight I bought a glass of soda water and a pint. The pint was £5.90 but the soda water was £3.50!!!!! Most places don't even charge for soda water. I'll not be back
Gran ambiente Decoración informal y excelente servicio.
