Awful service yet wasn't especially busy. Barely lukewarm coffee. Overpriced small food portions. You are advised to sit at a table to get served but then you don't get seen or served. Tables not cleared. And the final insult - service charge went onto bill automatically. I am usually a good tipper but this is one occasion when I wouldn't have left any tip.

Poor service. None of the servers seemed to know what they were doing although they were I suspect doing their best with little training. Tables weren’t being cleared. The system is confusing. Do you go to the counter or do you sit at a table but if you sit at a table then you’re going to be ignored. The chef had to keep shouting for cooked meals to be taken to the tables. Lucky to get three stars frankly. Get your act together. It could be good!

had a long walk from liverpool street, we were going to the museum anyway but by the time we got there i think all our group of nine or ten wanted a cup of tea so we walked to where we were told the cafe was (different place to last i'd been as i was expecting it to be where the way in now is) they were very accommodating and put tables together so most of our group could sit together, they came and took our order, food and drink came not too long after

Food was really nice. Ordered chips and fish finger panini piping hot. Cheese and onion sandwich with lovely fresh side salad. Drinks were ice cold. Staff very polite and friendly and the view is lovely overlooking the harbour. No loos as this is a kiosk but the public ones are only 30p opposite. Perfect spot for lunch off the beach or harbour.

Coffee and a vegan cake. It was too pricey. Coffee was great, one of the best in town. Loved the decor.

This is ridiculously overpriced for very average food and small portions. Really bad value for money. Even my latte came in a tiny glass, and was somehow smaller than a flat white. I would avoid this place and go somewhere else much better nearby.

Friend recommend this place as she’s often walked by but once we got inside and saw prices she regretted it. But we stayed. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was served in the tiniest paper cup and a small bowl of chips. My friend ordered a plain coffee, no milk or sugar and I paid over £11 for all three. Very ridiculous. No ketchup, mayo or anything else to go with the chips and it took ages to bring my fiend’s coffee.

A 3rd of the menu was incomprehensible - and we are metropolitan types. The food was lukewarm and the sauce was congealed on the plate. Part of the salad comprised old, wilted rocket leaves - no excuse for that. Glad we didn't order soup as it looked like thick porridge and a million miles from how soup should be. Must be coasting on its opening reviews because we were seriously underwhelmed.

We were very pleased with the service and food we received at Molly's Café. Our croques (one with ham and one vegetarian) were freshly prepared and tasty. The chocolate budino is not to be missed! We appreciate that revenue from the café supports the Museum of the Home.

Arriving yesterday for lunch, we asked if we had to waited to be seated. Rude member of staff replied savagely, 'Yes you do.' We were moved further back. I understand the need to wait but there was no signage to inform you of this. We waited and another member of staff guided us to a table, only to be told, 'You can't sit there, I haven't finished.' by the first waitress. I understand that it was a busy time {although they were no means over busy} but there is no need for such rudeness in such an abrupt manner. We left the cafe and turned right onto Cremer Street and found lots of places to eat about 4 minutes walk away, a happy choice for us.

Popped in after visiting museum. Wonderful welcome from the staff and what a fantastic menu. I had the Burrata cheese and fig, wow and my husband had the chicken terrine, excellent. Worth making an effort to come here just for the food never mind the museum. Truly recommend this place.

We came for lunch and coffee here whilst visiting the museum. The coffee and food were both really great. Lunch in particular was delicious. My only feedback is that given this is also a museum cafe they really need to sell drinks suitable for children like cartons of juice. I ended up paying around £12 for 3 children's juices as they were freshly squeezed when kids would be happy with a cheap carton of juice. So please sort this out and everything will be perfect.

Coffee was good. Then we returned later for lunch. There is a cafe section and a 'pub' style section. We had coffee in the cafe and lunch in the 'pub' (which also has a bar! I chose the cheese and ham croque - best one I have had since I went skiing in the Pyrenees some years ago. My friends had the Russian Salad and enjoyed this too. The Rose wine was good and at a fair price. All good quality food. And the service was lovely - the waitress couldn't do enough and was enthusiastic - lovely to see.

Came here for pit stop coffee before visit to Museum of the Home and was made very welcome at the door- great coffee and lovely staff! After brilliant visit to museum ( highly recommend!) we came back and had splendid lunch- absolutely delicious and again the staff could not have been more pleasant and efficient! Probably our 3rd meal out since restrictions lifted on eating indoors and we felt safe and everything very very clean ! Thank you all - we will be back !😊

This Is Simply A Terrific Place To Visit After A Trip To The Adjacent Museum Of The Home. The Atmosphere Is Super-Chilled And Hugely Relaxing. This Is Somewhat Of A Surprise, Given That It’s Across The Street From Hoxton Station. The Staff Are Very Welcoming, Helpful And Friendly. I Didn’t Sample The Food As The Kitchen Was Closed When I Visited, So It Was Only Drinks That Were Available. No Problem. The Café Sells Various Beers From Duration Brewery, Based In Norfolk. I Had The Turtles All The Way Down American Pale Ale. It Was So Scrumptious That I Had A Second One, Sitting In The Sun, Soaking Up The Atmosphere. This Was A Lovely Place To End My Visit To The Museum And I Thoroughly Enjoyed The Hour Or So I Spent There. It’s A Great Accompaniment To The Museum And Makes It All Just Perfect.

Visited on their second day. Warm welcome from the staff. Excellent Croque Monsieur and cappuccino. My brother loved his soup. Will definitely go there again. It's a perfect place for lunch, especially after a visit to the museum (Museum of the Home).

I enjoyed pleasant visit for bariokee after it turned sour. My friends and I were having a good time enjoying the facilities before I was forced to leave the venue with my friends for no apparent reason. Two bouncers and the manager escorted me and my 10 mates out with our drinks saying it was ‘To keep me safe?’ We are questioning the reasons of venue??!! It was quite unnecessary and rude. The manager needs to sort his priorities out. He saw 4 flat espresso martinis being served earlier in the night then showed him someone how to poor a pint. Watch out for an EGG!!

February 2021Price = Pricey for what is it. Not extortionate, but slightly more than other nearby places. (2 out of 5)Cleanliness = Very clean with zero complaints. (5 out of 5)Service = Service was great. Not complaints. (5 out of 5)Food/Restaurant = The food was nicely flavoured but the saltiness was too much (in comparison to many similar places). The rice was very oily. The bread and salad was good. (3 out of 5)Overall Experience = For the restaurant level pricing, I would expect a bit more in terms of flavours and not an over reliance on salt. I did try this once before the Government' August 2020 'Eat Out To Help Out' incentive and it was better that time. I don't mind paying a higher price for a 'difference' whether quality or quality. (3 out of 5).

Anyone who has ever been to the Netherlands and knows what it should taste like will throw this away after two bites like I did.
