Tanya served us with care and very professional!! Place is clean and food is amazing, tried the new additions of new food on the menu and it was delicious the vegan burger was yummy !!

We booked the second floor of the Horse and Groom for our office Halloween Party. Neil and his team were amazing and accommodated all of our needs in the run up and on the night -I couldn't mark them down. We had the best office night out of the year. Thank you again!!!

I had my 30th birthday party here, hired out the upstairs, and Neil and the staff were absolutely amazing. Super responsive and attentive, did everything they could to make it a great night - and it was. Can’t recommend it enough! They helped us with everything from the decorations to the specifics around the DJ booth, and made it super special. Thank you so much!

We had our wedding celebration at the Horse & Groom and everything went perfectly. Management were attentive and staff were super cool and did a bang up job. We've even talked about throwing another party for our friends upstairs in the future! Love this venue. Simon & Nicola.

Neil was awesome, facilitated an area for 30 of us for work drinks. Super responsive, nice touch with giving us wristbands too made the tab much more manageable. Will be going back for sure

Food from the pizza takeaway menu was great, relatively expensive drinks, even though in Shoreditch, 6.80 a pint of Camden hells😕 Atmosphere was great though.

came here with my partner to have a nice meal with her birthday. Teresa served us and thought she was fantastic. we came with our two little ones and she was nothing but class. helped us out and when the littlens were getting uncomfortable she came and gave us a book to keep them occupied. food was good and service was great. thank you Teresa for the lovely service.

It's always nice to find a pub that has areas outside to talk to friends and family. This one has a small area out of the back for people to smoke and chat.

Loving the newly renovated pub, only downside and it's a big no-no is the communal toilets. Women's cubicles are theoretically suppose to be on the right and the men's on the left, but I found the men were using the women's toilets. Seats were left up with wee on the bowl and floor and men were using the cubicles as if they were using urinals and not closing the door. It was a deeply unpleasant experience. Whoever thought of this design is an idiot and obviously male!

Great family atmosphere. We booked last minute and was catered for effortlessly, we were served by Teresa who always so polite and friendly.

Terrice served us and gave us outstanding service. Served us quickly and was very observant and attentive to our every need. It made our visit extremely enjoyable and easy with the baby as well.

I was here with my friend on Friday night until the closing time. It was not very crowded and the atmosphere was really nice. We tried a few beers, and the barman was kind enough to offer us a free Kraken shot.

When I went there was a DJ playing great soul and disco music. A great place to drink alcohol.

Fun venue with great music but the sound system is terrible and the drinks are well overpriced.

Buzzing atmosphere upstairs was less crowded and a wee beer garden good choice of lager, recommend The Brooklyn Brewery

Typical London pub - although was quiet on a Wednesday night when I visited. Small inside but do a variety of beers. Not much space on the street, so not sure what it is like when it gets busy.

Great place for joining a party, especially on their soul filled Sundays. Always nice to find a pub with a pub atmosphere.

Has potential to be a good old boozer, but clearly mismanaged. No ales at all (waiting for delivery) toilet in a terrible state, lots of water in the floor, pipes tied up together, basin propped up. Worse the grotty old boozers from 40 years ago.

AWFUL, me and 2 friends went and it was £5 to get in just to be swarmed by weird gross men who don’t understand no. Then when we left and told the manager he said “well if you don’t come and tell us what are we supposed to do”, even though staff were inside and didn’t do anything. Don’t go here it’s just a dark small room filled with disgusting men :)

Absolute hole, and not in a fun way. £7 to get in on a Friday and it's just the tiny ground floor of a pub with the tables removed and a DJ playing the blandest dance music imaginable. No one was dancing. Corners gaffer taped together and sanitary bins in the ladies overflowing (and there were only about 4 women in the place, so that wasn't recent)

They won’t offer a tab, manager seems not to know what one is, and if you take drinks outside and come back to one you left behind the bar… expect them to have given it to someone else and wait 5+ mins for a replacement.

shane was unprofessional and disrespectful. have been going there regularly but will now be visiting other pubs instead. no wonder this place is usually the most empty in the vicinity.

Shane is the shining star of this place - I literally just come for him!! 🫶🏽❤️ His customer service and charisma is incredible. A real gem. Thursdays are the best day to come here, always rammed and buzzing!!

Didn’t let us in after going outside to grab our friend. The dj was great but it was a cluster show trying to get back in. We weren’t allowed to buy drinks with our friends or go anywhere. It’s no re entry allowed apparently after spending money on a ticket?

First time here. It's a typical pub on the eastern border of the City. Good vibe, I liked it, I can imagine it can really kick off as the night progresses, but I'll never know as it had been a long week and I didn't stay late. The pizzas being served looked great. I could easily be tempted back again...

The Horse and Groom is a cozy pub and b&b located in gorgeous Chichester. I had the pleasure of staying there for a night and I must say It was everything I could have asked for ! The room was very clean, nicely decorated with a comfortable bed, big shower and all basic amenities. Most importantly I had a great night sleep being in the countryside. The food was the real highlight for me. The menu itself paired with fresh and locally sourced produce was impressive! I had the egg and asparagus for starters (amazing) and ribeye steak as main, as well as some ice cream and brownie for dessert. All three were delicious and I can't wait to visit again !

A very pleasant and mingling attitude with personalized staff

Me and my friend went here on a Saturday night, having heard good things about it. Let me say first that the staff were perfectly pleasant, but the customers...wow. Several people insisted on dancing even though the pub was packed and there was no room to move, and not just the self-restrained kind of dancing you do in a rammed pub but more 'I'm a regular, I virtually own the place, I'm swinging my arms all over the place and I don't give a hoot about you' dancing. A lot of my beer got knocked over me just standing in the only space available. I tried to walk away to get away from the spillages...asked a man to 'excuse me' three times'. When he finally let me through he told me condescendingly that 'if I'd just asked nicely he would have no problem letting me past'. It seems if you are not a regular in here the customers who are don't want you to stay. I actually joked to my friend afterwards that it was like the 'you're not local' characters from the League of Gentlemen. I've never felt so unwelcome in a pub before.

Beautiful pub In the heart of London. Close to Liverpool Street they have s very nice range if drink or cocktail worth to go

Interesting venue. From the outside it looks like a small pub, but once you get inside, it was more akin to a club, albeit a small intimate club. You have to be in that mindset to listen to thumping house/techno and dance, and not want to have good old chat. Improvements, fix the air conditioning unit upstairs as after a little while, it was like a sweat box. The drinks are expensive enough so at least fix things that do not work.

Nice pub for a pint. Friendly and quick service. Quiet around 4 on a Saturday which is good for catching up with friends.

Really rude bartender in the hire room upstairs. Totally unprofessional. Would avoid party hire here. Downstairs pub and rest of staff were nice though.

I imagine during the day is when to visit. At night when the DJ is bumping and the crowds are jumping, I'd find a better place with more friendly staff.

Excellent pub/club intimiste avec du bon son house, et un excellent accueil.

I went here on a Friday night, it was free entry and they have a good sound system playing electronic beats mostly. However the music was not too crazily loud that I could still chat to my mates. Drink prices were standard and were acceptable to me given that the sound system was good, nice people and good ambience. Hence overall I think it's a good venue.

Great little find. Have great DJ's catering for a more mature crowd, especially on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Advertising itself as a pre-club event. Open from 4pm, get there early.

One serious city pub. Not to be overlooked. Seriously good IPA @ £6.30. Miss it and you can consider yourself Shakesperian punished. Superior architectural heritage to be cherished.

We went to a music afternoon, the place was very busy, I bought 3 drinks, the cost was £19.40 I gave the barmaid £20 note, to which she replied : We dont have any change sorry….. So I was out of pocket by 60p, THIS IS THEFT, DONT USE MONEY IN THIS BOOZER

Not your traditional Greeene King pub but it's a nice one, better than most of the bars in the area. The pub sign says Greene King but I ain't sure it is.

Bouncers were awful, ruining nice pubs like this by acting like they own the place...

Had private function upstairs and it is a very good space. Can fit around 50 people and has space for your own DJ. Has a private bar as well so you don't need to go downstairs

Great staff. DJ most weekends. A proper decent pub with music and entertainment in the heart of the East End. Open late Saturdays. Ideal! We use this place alot.

Great atmosphere like the old days in Shoreditch.

This is a little gem! what a great atmosphere and music that keeps you dancing all night. They have friendly staff, funky DJs, heated outdoor smoking area, cocktail bar (great espresso martini!) and as you can see from the photo, a vibrant group of happy people dancing the night away. A must visit if you're in the area! Highly recommend

One of my favourite places in London. I love the atmosphere, people, and music here. I love how it's the only old pub standing and surrounded by new developments. It really reminds me of a similar establishment back in N. Macedonia, super artistic and alternative, that was sadly shut down. My only complaint with this place is the security guys who are unnecessarily tense and rude. Otherwise it would be 5*.

Great PUB! NIGHTCLUB Drinks prices though!

Never been to this pub before, stumbled across it while out in shoreditch. Went in for one drink and ended up staying all night (which was 4am!) It’s a cool pub that kind of turns into a club on weekends, had great DJ’s and vibe, a kind of old school shoreditch vibe and reasonably priced drinks for the area. I’d definitely recommend and I’ll be going back!

It's ok, door policy a bit much for a small bar

Omd worst pub ever... Hot sweaty,. B.O armpit ranksted, mouldy, cheesy... Dark... As in no lighing apart from the bar and a little light where the dj was playing, place dinjy grim I even seen a pair off dirty boots on a chair... I stayed in there less than 5 mins and made a superfast exit..with so much hot smelly breath in the place and people packed together... (no covid guidelines followed here. It wouldn't surprise me if covid was in the air in that awful place .... Not even security wanted to go in.... 3 off them were out side... Sorry i did not take any pics... Too dark and smelly. Avoid at all cost.. On the plus side... 80s flash bk music sounded great... Thumbs up to the dj... Advice to owners... Complete powerclean and fumigation.... Redecoration... Ie brighter paint and adequate lighing... Wud be nice to think off those with mobilities.

Cosy old London style pub that is close yo Liverpool Street station, they had a good selection of drinks and the staff was very attentive and got our orders promptly and correctly.
