We came in for lunch. Two of us had chicken and avocado baguette with side salad and one had pizza with a side order of garlic bread. The food was excellent quality and the service was efficient and friendly. The menu is extensive and all the meat is Halal.
A beautiful Massala curry with prawns, accompanied by some tasty tandoori lamb chops.
Service was a bit hit n miss, but it did its job.
The food did take a while but I wasn’t in a rush.
If I was in the area again, I’d definitely return for a great curry.
We were with some friends who wanted to take us out for a quick Dinner, walking around that area, and this was the first place which had space available without a booking. We were not disappointed. The food was very good, there was live - and very loud - music and entertainment, and the service was very good, friendly and efficient. We will be back!
I have been supporting Curious Roo since they were a little stall at Ealing Broadway shopping centre where I would buy drinks and coffe beans from but unfortunately today was my last visit as I left completely upset and disappointed.
My past two visits to the shop in Ealing to buy 1kg of coffee beans (which is a much bigger purchase than just a latte), I was served by the same person behind the till, a tall guy who made me feel absolutely worthless.
For context, I am neurodivergent and I was wearing my sunflower lanyard in both occasions which states my disability and how that affects me, hoping that people would be understanding and inclusive.
On 3rd January afternoon, I picked up a bag of coffee and headed over to the till to pay and due to my condition I talk a lot and ask questions, the shop was quiet and this person was very short with me as in making me stop talking so I finished paying and left, very upset and feeling bad about being the way I am.
Today 28th January I needed another 1kg bag of coffee beans and as I walked in I saw him behind the till and I got extremely anxious, picked up the coffee bag and stood in front of of the till whilst he was chatting with someone at the end of the counter and a couple walked in and were choosing their drinks, the person immediately walked towards them, ignored me and started taking their order whilst I stood there with the bag of coffee that I just needed to pay.
I had to interrupt and ask to pay for the bag and then he said I should join the queue and the people behing me who were behind me who were annoyed and uncomfortable said I could go first. Again I left absolutely devastated struggling to breathe with anxiety.
Curious Roo is allegedly an inclusive company but I felt extremely discriminated by this particular member of the team and I believe this person needs some sort of mental health and neurodivergence training and how their actions can affect people’s lives and ruin their days.
Even if I wanted I would not be able to enter the shop again because it would trigger me a lot of distress and anxiety.
There are plenty of more inclusive cafes around the area, if you are neurodivergent, have mental health problems or disabilities you might not be treated well by this person there, which is a shame because everyone else is lovely.
My partner & I had lunch at this cafe style restaurant for the first time today and the poke bowls were absolutely delicious. We both love our spice and fish so chose the tuna salad bowl and the salmon rice bowl. The slightly dried fresh green chillies popped with flavour as did the crispy shallots on both dishes. Good value for money. Recommended.

We visited cote in Ealing for an early birthday celebration meal. Upon arrival the lovely lady came to ask whose birthday it was and we felt very welcome. Sadly it was a poor experience from here.
We were initially asked for our drinks order but after that we had to put our hand up to order food, or anything else. 20 minutes after ordering drinks. Our food was also very slow to come out, and our dad’s food arrived 10 minutes after everyone else’s meaning we were nearly finished our meals by the time his arrived to the table.
The £10 Camembert we believed was a sharing was absolutely tiny with two tiny pieces of baguette and a tiny Camembert. Would not recommend if you are under the impression it can be shared.
Both sirloin steaks came out cold and I had to ask for them to be redone. What made this worse was the manager came over to tell us steaks are meant to be cold if they are only done medium rare. We have had many steaks in our life and they ofcourse are not meant to be cold, especially for £25. It would behave been less insulting if we just got an apology instead of suggesting we don’t know how a steak is meant to be cooked.
Not once throughout our meal were we checked on and asked if everything was ok, even after the new steaks arrived. We weren’t given any water for the table at any point and as I said any time we wanted to order or say anything we had to keep putting our hand up and made to feel like we were being a problem. I don’t understand why I was asked whose birthday it is so they could notify staff, as it was never mentioned by any of the staff again after this.
Really disappointing experience as my family don’t get to visit me often and this was an early 30th celebration. A waste of money and time really.
Went for some drinks with my friends the other night, the staff behind the bar were working really hard, apart from the girl who served us, she was miserable. I think she is called Andrea??? She was particularly unhelpful and gave no recommendations when I asked.
