This spot is great for nice breakfast and very cosy. Really enjoyable. Good atmosphere and very nice staff. Gosia made extra miles provided her excellent service.

A bit disappointed to find in the bill service charge added for two coffees and a piece of cake, unexpected.

Delicious food with a nice twist on traditional Polish cuisine; another treat is that you can watch your dumplings being made fresh on the spot. And for dessert you can pick and cake from the next door patisserie, actually the best one in Ealing so far.

A bit disappointed with my visit today when l looked at my bill when I got home was overcharged by £4.20 . For a piece of cake I didn't have maybe my thought for not checking when I paid .

The staff were lovely and service good but the food was not up to its usual standard. On previous occasions we have visited the food has been delicious and beautifully presented. We had the kaszanka with cod for starter which was disappointing. The kaszanka had no texture and was too salty and I felt the cod was a waste of time as the flavour was totally overpowered by the kaszanka. So in my opinion not a good combination. The main course of potato pancakes with beef stew was also disappointing. The pancakes were too big and thick and not enough stew to go with them. I don’t know what’s happened as the food has always been top notch. Hopefully just a bad day and you will return to your usual high standards. Also we thought the the dessert menus look very downmarket…what you would get in a cheap cafe. Sorry, but hopefully some constructive criticism that you might want to act on.

I visited this place last night after quite a long time, as we used to come here twice a week to eat and have a drink. We started with two shots of Courvoisier cognac to warm up, along with two glasses of house red wine. However, we were shocked by the bill, which came to £32.50 just for the drinks. At that point, we decided not to order food. This place offers basic, homemade-style food—it’s not really a full-service restaurant. For these prices, you’d expect a higher quality experience, with a nicer atmosphere and more refined service. Instead, the setting still feels dated, with a bit of a post-communist vibe. The value just wasn’t there for us this time.

The wonderful Lisa and her husband Milan have retired after over a quarter of a century serving wonderful food at reasonable prices on Pitshanger Lane. It will re-open but it will never be Lisa's again

Great food, but very slow service, need more staff for a busy time, like Sunday afternoon... Was waiting 20 minutes to order and then 20 minutes for the bill to arrive... Staff friendly but had to go to thr bar to request new glasses, cutlery etc.. Recommend for lovely polish food, but be mindful of the waiting time...
