We visited cote in Ealing for an early birthday celebration meal. Upon arrival the lovely lady came to ask whose birthday it was and we felt very welcome. Sadly it was a poor experience from here. We were initially asked for our drinks order but after that we had to put our hand up to order food, or anything else. 20 minutes after ordering drinks. Our food was also very slow to come out, and our dad’s food arrived 10 minutes after everyone else’s meaning we were nearly finished our meals by the time his arrived to the table. The £10 Camembert we believed was a sharing was absolutely tiny with two tiny pieces of baguette and a tiny Camembert. Would not recommend if you are under the impression it can be shared. Both sirloin steaks came out cold and I had to ask for them to be redone. What made this worse was the manager came over to tell us steaks are meant to be cold if they are only done medium rare. We have had many steaks in our life and they ofcourse are not meant to be cold, especially for £25. It would behave been less insulting if we just got an apology instead of suggesting we don’t know how a steak is meant to be cooked. Not once throughout our meal were we checked on and asked if everything was ok, even after the new steaks arrived. We weren’t given any water for the table at any point and as I said any time we wanted to order or say anything we had to keep putting our hand up and made to feel like we were being a problem. I don’t understand why I was asked whose birthday it is so they could notify staff, as it was never mentioned by any of the staff again after this. Really disappointing experience as my family don’t get to visit me often and this was an early 30th celebration. A waste of money and time really.

Always great food and service here. We were a party of 4 friends, just catching up. It was one of the party’s birthday and the staff treated her to a delicious chocolate mousse with a candle, and everyone sang Happy Birthday. It was great fun, thank you Côte! Our waitress Laurie was particularly helpful, kind and professional!

3 out of 4 minute steaks had quite a bit of gristle. To be fair they did not charge for those steaks. This is unusual as the steaks are usually good .

The menu features classic dishes like Beef Bourguignon and Eggs Benedict, praised for their rich flavors and quality ingredients. Located near Walpole Park, it’s a great spot for a relaxed meal. The wine selection complements the dishes well, enhancing the overall experience. While most reviews highlight excellent food and friendly staff, occasional service delays during busy hours have been noted. Overall, Côte Ealing provides a satisfying and authentic taste of France, making it a reliable choice for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

This chain French restaurant is located on High Street in Hammersmith, just a 10-15 mins walk from the underground station. The atmosphere is excellent, with beautiful décor, and the staff are very polite and welcoming. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the house wine, French Onion Soup, Cheese Soufflé, Calamari, Beef Cheek Bourguignon, and Confit Duck à l'Orange. All the dishes were quite good. For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Praline Tart and Madeleine, both of which were delicious. Overall, we look forward to returning to try more of the menu.

We have often visited this branch of Cote for brunch, having found that it’s a pleasant, large space that is welcoming to toddlers. Visited today with a friend and two toddlers. Unfortunately we arrived a few minutes after 11.30am when the brunch menu changes to the lunch menu. I told the waitress one of the toddlers had been looking forward to a sausage, and asked if there was any way we could still order one. She looked annoyed, checked with a manager, and confirmed that the answer was no, not bothering to point out any of the options on the regular lunch menu that also contained sausage. Not an auspicious start, but we carried on. Having already mentioned an allergy, when I asked if the things we then wished to order from the lunch menu contained the allergen, she again looked annoyed and wandered off to ask. She then proceeded to do a few other jobs and returned some time later, all while the toddlers were getting fidgety and we were starting to regret coming. The food arrived after a considerable wait, with everybody served together except one of the toddlers who had to wait a good 5 minutes after everything else had arrived (for a ham and cheese toastie, nothing complex). Why serve the one thing from the children’s menu last?! Children are not brilliant at waiting. The food was fine, but by a certain point the children had had enough of the whole experience so we decided to go. We had plenty leftover including a whole tartine and the best part of the ham and cheese toastie, which we asked if we could take away. We asked for some napkins to wrap them up in, but a waiter insisted on taking the items off the plates and onto his tray to pack up for us in the kitchen. After about 10 minutes, having paid the bill and with the toddlers getting increasingly restless, we asked what had happened to our take away bits and we were told they had been mistakenly thrown away, with very little by way of apology. I haven’t had such a poor experience in a restaurant for a while, and would encourage the team to focus a little more on customer service. A smile, an apology, and a can-do attitude go a long way. I should say there’s one young waiter who works at Cote who has all of the above qualities and if you are looked after by him, everything is great. Today we were not so lucky.

We visited this cote chain restaurant a couple of weeks ago, just before Christmas, hoping for a pleasant experience. We had our dog with us and wanted to sit outside, so we went in to request a table. Unfortunately, the interaction with the front-of-house staff left much to be desired. The lady who greeted us questioned, “Are you going to eat?”—a question that felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. She then handed us menus without any enthusiasm or effort to guide us to the outdoor table. The entire interaction gave the impression that we were not particularly welcome, especially with our pet in tow. It was unclear if it was a self-service establishment or if service was provided outside, as there was no clear signage or explanation. The place wasn’t even busy at the time, yet the lack of attention and care made us feel as though we were being treated differently simply because we had a dog. The experience felt disrespectful, and it’s disappointing that an establishment would show so little hospitality, especially during a festive season when people are looking for warmth and kindness. Unfortunately, this left such a poor impression that we will not be returning to this location or any others in the future. A little care and professionalism go a long way, but sadly, this visit fell far short of expectations.

"I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant, and unfortunately, it all stemmed from the management. The manager seemed completely uninterested in the needs of customers, and it was clear he was more focused on himself than on providing good service. When we had issues with our order, he was dismissive and almost ignored our concerns. The lack of attention and professionalism was shocking, and it's a real shame because the food was amazing , if the management actually cared about their customers. My family and I walked into this restaurant, looking forward to a lovely breakfast together. Instead, we were met with a cold and condescending administrator who greeted us without a hint of a smile. She curtly instructed us to follow her, but with the restaurant only 20% full, there was no warmth or welcome in her demeanor. She led us to a table that was completely unsuitable—there were no comfy sofas to sit on, which was what we were hoping for. I politely asked her for another option, but her response was shocking: we could either sit where she dictated or not eat at all! My heart sank when I asked for her name, and she refused to tell me. Frustrated and hurt, we decided to leave without tasting a single bite of food. And to top it off, she had the audacity to say that if we didn’t like it, we could simply go to another place. It’s absolutely devastating because I’ve always cherished this restaurant chain, but after this experience, I know I can never return to this one again. It’s such a shame to see a place I once loved treated with such inconsideration!

I ordered the breakfast deal today at cote and I have to say that without that deal it would have been a complete rip off. The coffee we ordered took a good ten minutes to arrive and was just a normal coffee and both my hot coffee my friends iced coffee were lukewarm. The ordering of our food felt slightly clunky and it took a long time to actually order three breakfast. I admit that two of the breakfasts had modifications one being that it was gluten free and the other to have one thing removed from the breakfast. Whilst we waited for our food we could clearly hear another costumers drink asked to be warmed up so it seemed to be a theme. That the drinks were cold. One positive of the experience is that a serve came to clarify on the gluten free option and took note of the allergies present. However about five minutes later another server came and asked the same thing. After around thirty minutes waiting for the food to arrive we had to request that one of the breakfast yogurt and berries be brought out soon as my friend had to leave luckily this was quick to come out but the portion size was a bit dubious. After another ten minutes the rest of the food arrived. One friend ordered the eggs royal and said while it was tasty it was not warm and the eggs were under cooked My own meal the cote cooked breakfast. Came with the part I had asked for it to be without which was mushrooms oddly which was the largest portion on the plate apart form the toast. The toast was cold and as the butter was also from the fridge it couldn’t be spread at all on to the toast. In my pot of beans there were four actual beans and the rest of the tiny pot was just sauce, which was tasty but again cold. The bacon I revived with minuscule and very over cooked but again lukewarm. I received two eggs similar to the size of quail eggs which were undercooked and very watery and tasteless. The only part of my meal that was fitting for the breakfast was the Cumberland sausage. The tomatoes were ok but I was expecting them to be sweeter and more rich in flavour as this is the reason cherry tomatoes are usually chosen to be roasted and they tend to be more flavour full. A positive part was the juices which were tasty I do have to add about them that in the breakfast deal it was worth it but to get it separate it would have been five pounds which is a lot for a juice that although was nice did not blow us away. Overall the whole experience was ok but I was dissatisfied with it due to the small portions and long wait for food that wasn’t hot. The setting is beautiful but to have such a nice place be so disappointing was sad as we specifically chose the place to have a nice breakfast.

We had a Sunday booking for 11:45am mistakenly believing that breakfast finished at 1pm (as it used to). Our children (6 and 8) had been part of the Remembrance Sunday parade as cubs and beavers. They were tired and cold having been on their feet since 9:30am. We chose Cote as it was close to the finish of the parade. When we arrived people were still being served their breakfasts. We asked for the breakfast menu only to be told that it had finished at 11:30am. I asked the manageress whether she could ask the kitchen to do one meal of French toast from the breakfast menu as my eldest child is neurodivergent and was intent on having French toast (as we had told him he was having breakfast there). Instead of being empathetic to our situation she held up her phone and pointed out that the website clearly states that breakfast finished at 11:30am. I noted her point, but asked if she could ask the kitchen to do one French toast and then the other five of us would eat from the lunch menu. I explained that we would have to leave otherwise as our neurodivergent child would have a meltdown. Her response was to shrug her shoulders and tell me that they were “…too busy…” to accommodate this request (even though there were only seven covers seated). She then turned her back on me and continued with what she was doing. We did leave (as my child was starting to meltdown and I didn’t think that was fair on other customers). We walked down to Beehive and had a fantastic brunch. I’d like to contrast this to our experience later in the day at Ealing Picture House. We accidentally bought tickets for the front row (it looked to be the back row on their online booking system) for a sell out movie. When we got there and realised our mistake, we knew our son wouldn’t cope that close up to the screen. I discreetly asked the manageress whether there was anything she could do. She was incredibly understanding and went out of her way to move our seats around. The four of us weren’t sitting together but that was fine. It meant we all got to stay and watch the movie. The alternative would have meant us having to leave as we did with Cote. Perhaps the team at Cote, in particular the manageress on shift yesterday would benefit from diversity training to help them understand that neurodivergence is a real challenge for anyone living with it and/or raising a child with it. Empathy and understanding goes a long way.

This is a chain of French restaurants that has branches in different areas. This time we chose this one in Ealing, which is about ten minutes away if you walk from the railway station. The facade is a blue tent, which feels very stylish, and the atmosphere inside the store is very comfortable. Their food prices are mid-priced, and they are not expensive but not delicious like some small shops. We tried the beef cheek recommended by many people. The meat was very soft and delicious. Here I suggest you order some red or white wine, so that your dinner or your celebration will feel more different. The only drawback is that the water pressure in the faucet in their men's toilet is very low, it's almost like there is no water supply. I hope they will improve it. This restaurant deserves to be recommended.

I kind of have a love hate relationship with the Côte chain of restaurants. I really like French style cooking and the Côte menu has an extensive choice of French inspired dishes. The service at the Ealing branch of Côte has always been excellent. Welcoming, warm and friendly. The food arrives in ample time, and I have never felt rushed. The waiting staff are attentive, but not intrusive. What’s not to like? However, though the food is good, it isn’t excellent, and so I always have to temper my expectations. I like the food, but I wouldn’t say I love the food. I am not entirely sure what they could do to make things better, but I am confident that they could. However as a chain, I suspect they are constrained by the system cooking processes they use to ensure consistency across the different restaurants across the country. So the dish you order in Ealing is identical to the same dish if it was ordered in Bristol. I always think if they had a local chef, they could improve and enhance the food. Having said that, finding myself in Ealing on a somewhat warm evening, the cool air-conditioned branch of Côte was quite appealing. The fixed price menu looking tempting as well. I was given a lovely warm welcome and I was allowed to choose where to sit, which was nice, as I was able to choose a slightly bigger table even though I was eating alone. I may have eaten outside, but it was still rather warm outside, and to be honest the pavement is rather busy and there is a constant stream of traffic running by. Looking over the menu, I was tempted by quite a few things, but in the end, for my starter I chose the Salade au Bacon, bacon lardons tossed in a creamy anchovy dressing with endive and gem lettuce salad, cherry tomatoes, panisse chickpea croutons and crispy capers, topped with a poached egg. The combination of tastes and textures worked. The runny yolk of the poached egg added to the richness of the salad. I was intrigued by the panisse chickpea croutons, they were crunchy, different, I think normal croutons would have worked just as well. This was a lovely rustic looking salad, and despite my earlier thoughts on dishes, I did think this looked great. It was also delicious. This is the kind of dish that I hope they serve at Côte and this time they delivered. I thought it was fantastic. For my main course I went with the Steak Frites, and upgraded to the sirloin steak, which was described as topped with garlic butter and served with herbs and frites. After a fantastic starter, this was a little disappointing. I think they forgot the garlic butter, and not having the menu to hand, I didn’t think to check with the waiting staff. The plate was a simple affair, I don’t know it looked rather plain. I am not sure what they could do though to make it better. I had asked for the steak to be cooked medium-rare, and it was. It was tender, but lacked seasoning. I generally avoid adding extra salt to my food, but this time the steak needed it. The frites were good, nice and crispy. I don’t think the herbs added anything. I would have maybe added a small rocket salad, or even some green beans instead. I think that would have improved both the look of the dish, and the overall eating experience. Generally, I only order a starter and a main course, and avoid having a pudding. However, this time the fixed price menu had a cheese plate on offer, a selection of three French cheeses with a fig chutney & sourdough baguette. You could choose from the following cheeses, Comté, Pont l’Évêque, Roquefort, Délice de Bourgogne, Chèvre Buchette. Now I am a sucker for a cheese course, so of course I said yes. I chose the Comté, Pont l’Évêque, and the Délice de Bourgogne. I liked the fact that the cheese plate came with bread, however this was toasted sourdough baguette, which though nice, wasn’t quite what I wanted with my cheese. Overall I did enjoy my food at Côte, the service was excellent, and I had a lovely dining experience. It wasn’t perfect, but it was nice, and with the fixed price menu, I thought it was value for money.

Main course seabass/new potatoes was mediocre if not quite awful. The fish was tired and dry. Usually enjoy the food but not this time. Service was outstanding however!

Delicious food, however, service was a little slow. Recommend scallops and steak frites! 3 course meal approx £40.

FRENCH ONION SOUP: Always good, especially with the accompanying baguettes. CONFIT DUCK À L’ORANGE: Absolutely perfect. BEEF CHEEK BOURGUIGNON: Absolutely perfect. PARIS-BREST: Not my favorite, but the pastry and praline were fresh.

We ordered 2 salad as a main, but they served for starter £7.75 instead of main dish £15.50. after we paid and discussed with friends who had the same food as me, we went back to ask for the refund, however the manager was so rude and excused no receipt and no refund. We were 5 mums had lunch yesterday 30th April 12:30-1400. Didn't expect the terrible service from Cote.

Xyra was a delight, and the food and drink were absolutely fantastic. The most amazing dish was the crème brûlée with basil, strawberry and elderflower. Such an amazing flavour combination!

A family birthday celebration lunch yesterday at our favourite restaurant. Delicious food and excellent service, as usual. I took photos of all our drinks and dishes to make a wonderful memory of the occasion. We'll be back again soon.

Had the Cote burger and Fillet steak. The burger was good and considering its London the price also felt appropriate. I would probably get it again. The fillet steak was overcooked - it was very dry and chewy. The steak from Flat Iron for that matter is way tastier for almost half the price. The service was good and the atmosphere was okay.

Dined here for my birthday recently. They have a good choice of food including vegan options. Prices are average by today's standard. I had the Mushroom Bourguigon which was very tasty. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We went there in the afternoon therefore it was relatively quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to dine there again.

The food is always delicious with excellent presentation. It's French cuisine afterall and the flavours are just right.
