The best restaurants in Fairfield Croydon London

It was a date night with my wife and I wanted to fine dine yet be local to us. South Croydon is as local as can be. Crystal Restaurant under Hussain fulfilled and tick boxed. Starter of Baba Ganoush, my Sea Bass main, the grilled Chicken, and then the Saffron infused sugar Mint tea. Perfect. Thank you so very much for a lovely service.

This is a little gem for Barkingside High Street to have. There are 4 pop ups contained within one building with plenty of seating the Jamaican pop up opens on 1st Dec each day has a different special offer and happy hour is 5-7 daily 2 cocktails for £10. The cocktails are only around £6;50 at their normal price. People were coming in for takeout at lunch time, there was a good mix of ages and everyone was made to feel welcome. Will definitely be going again in the evening today it was lunch time on a Thursday when we went but it had quite a lot of people in there.

Gimasen offers the best selection from a huge range of Filipino food and does them well. The food was deliciously authentic. The sweet and tangy bbq pork skewers and chicken wings, crispy lumpia spring rolls, longanisa pork balls, pansit noodles, and the infamous signature national dish, chicken adobo, were wonderfully presented on banana leaves, the portions were decent, came out relatively quick, and all tasted as good as home-cooked food. As a British-Filipino, I appreciate the labour of love that comes with cooking Filipino food, and am so happy that Gimasen proudly takes this on, leaving me to enjoy a tasty meal with my friends and family. We’ll definitely be coming back for Gimasen-more! Visit their stall during weekends at Croydon town centre, or first two first Saturday's of every month at The Cricketers Pub, Addiscombe Road.

I love this place. Pam & the team are amazing! Always friendly and so caring. The coffee is incredible and the Japanese cheesecake is so good. The cafe is dog friendly too. The best there is!!

Was overcharged for my order, and the coffee was essentially brown water, somehow simultaneously bitter and flavourless. You're better off with a cheap filter coffee from a greasy spoon- probably made with more care and better coffee. Left a literal and figurative nasty taste in my mouth.

The food and drinks were absolutely amazing and really exceeded my expectations. We tried the Oink Oink Croissant Banh Mi and the DIY Beef Brisket, both of which were incredibly delicious and memorable. We also had an orange-infused coffee called Baby Bumblebee, and I was hooked after just one sip!

We ordered kebab makhsoos take away for a family of 12. The food was fresh, delicious and large portions- A star quality. You've now got a happy group of regular customers.

Great place to meet up with friends and play some board games… £8pp for 4 hours. Amazing selection of games. Food and drink menu was extensive however on the pricier side. Service was great with a button on the table to request assistance. Would recommend!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mithras, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I ordered the lamb shish with a fresh salad, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. What truly made my visit special, however, was the exceptional service. A special shout-out to Rizen, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was exactly to my preference. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the dining experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find such attentive service, and it certainly left a lasting impression. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Turkish cuisine paired with top-notch hospitality, I highly recommend Mithras. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
