Great coffee and service . Pastry was really nice . The cheese cake was okay . Would deffo recommend.

It us quite a tiny coffee shop, pricey with limited seating including basement seating; very stuffy when hot; however, the staff were friendly enough. I chose it because my friend was vegan, so I wanted a place that advertised a vegan selection.

Best coffee in the neighbourhood, and the friendliest staff! Great variety of cakes and pastries. For food, I particularly like the Mumbai cheese toastie, but the open-face toasts are also a great choice. Fab smoothies too!

My wife and I go here for a coffee every Saturday and occasionally grab a cake as well. Last weekend I tried the Red Velvet Crossaint and it was amazing. The coffee is lovely and the selection of alternative milks is good. The staff are lovely and we look forward to being able to take our newborn here son for their first babycino.

I visited the cafe for the first time today! Great service and I grabbed a slice of Banana cake which is my favourite, I must say it’s one of the best Banana cakes I’ve had also a huge slice, definitely worth the money!

Crushed Bean is a must-visit for coffee lovers in Croydon. Their brews are expertly crafted and packed with flavor, and the treats are simply delicious. I always leave feeling energized and satisfied. The only downside is the lack of bike racks in the area, which is a bit of a hassle for those who prefer to cycle. Despite this, I highly recommend Crushed Bean for their fantastic coffee and treats. It's a true gem in Croydon!

Best cafe in the area - the people who work there are always friendly, the coffee is great and the cakes are delicious. Very inclusive space (love the pride flags!), and very dog friendly. Our corgi Lily is a big fan of the staff there. They close on Sundays to let their staff have a well deserved day off. Can't recommend this place enough.

The coffee here is great and good quality for a decent price. £11 in total for a (huge) toasty with loads of filling and a quality latte in these times is a good deal imo, especially to support a small business. :)

Crushed beans has been my savior since I moved to Croydon. My favorite oat latte with 4 brown sugars. So I took my partner there last week. We had peanut butter on toast with banana, cinnamon, honey. I had my oat latte and my partner had her vanilla oat latte. Ooouuu ouuuuu! The staff is just amazing. Salute to the owner, Pam a d her lovely staff members. Always making me feel at home.

I hadn’t realised this cafe existed until last year. It’s by far the best cafe in Croydon if you’re looking for good specialty coffee. Very reasonable prices too. This trip I had a Chinese natural coffee as a V60. - large was £3.60, significantly cheaper than hand pour usually is elsewhere.

I really like the coffees and sandwich here. The soup is also nice. But ambience is perfect, but my favorite part is that the baristas actually listen to what you ask for and deliver exactly that :)

Pam and the Crushed bean team are the heart of their community. Sitting in with your coffee you will see how many regulars the staff all know and have their orders memorised! We have been going to Crushed Bean since 2019 and they got us through the pandemic with their amazing food, coffee and vibes! Best coffee in Croydon and do not skip the baked goods! Pams mum makes the best vegan banana bread and an insanely good basque cheesecake! Crushed Bean is friendly, consistent, delicious and so dog and kid friendly! The ABSOLUTE BEST so yes... 10/10 recommend!

My daughter has this as one of her favorite places to come to, and I visited for the first time today. Excellent service right from the start. Friendly, helpful, and just what you want from someone who is about to make you a beverage. I had a macchiato, and it was adorable. Presented wonderfully and made with care and attention. Aided by a lovely almond pastry. Yum. If you are in Croydon (Croydon, of all places ), find the crushed bean and have at it!

Partner claimed this is the best coffee she had in the whole of UK. I don't drink coffee so I'm not sure but the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice.

My first visit yesterday and it was a lovely experience. The coffee is delicious and the staff very welcoming and friendly. A delight to see the Pride flag displayed so proudly in Croydon. There's also a very comfortable seating area downstairs.

Meet up with friends, the place allowed us to bring our dog in and the staff were very good with her. The coffee was good so was the service. The staff are very friendly

I love this little cafe mostly because the staff are genuinely friendly, after a few visits they recognise you. The banana loaf is also worth having. I like the window seating also.

I love this place! It's cosy and the prices are very reasonable. The people are sooo friendly, I got asked if I wanted help because I didn't know what drink to get, I got the Earl Grey rose tea and is was AMAZING! I will definitely make this my new go-to spot.

I have been to this coffee shop few times with friends. Today (02.02.23) I visited to have a cup of coffee and catch up on some emails. The service was poor. The girls were chit chatting with their routine customers about how people come and have one cup of coffee and sit for hours "working"... I felt very awkward and uncomfortable. They girls went on to say how if people need to work they should hire a space as they are trying to make money etc... I felt so uneasy walking out of the coffee shop. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who wish to have their coffee and work otherwise you will be judged and made to feel uncomfortable. I would opt for the big chain coffee shops who just let you get on with what you are doing and leave you to it and don't put any pressure on buying more cups or for doing your work. I am very disappointed with my experience today and will not be visiting again.

Lovely local independent coffee shop. I'm a regular visitor now for coffee, matcha and cake. They have a variety of options including different types of matcha (ask for the spicy with vanilla for my fav). The Japanese cheesecake and chocolate banana bread is delicious. Cosy atmosphere with seating up and downstairs and run by the friendliest people. A must try!

This is a little diamond in the rough that is Croydon. The coffee here is great and, although I didn’t eat, the food and cakes also look very nice. I’ve just had 3 flat whites on the bounce so I’m going to be skipping all the way home.

Nice little cafe with good food and coffee, but could do with some minor improvements: - Please increase your portion sizes: the cheese toasties are tiny! - Please install a handrail for the stairs and remove trip hazards around that area. Walking up and down that thing felt like a death trap! - Please sound insulate the bathroom. The walls are paper thin and I don't think people want to overhear someone in the toilet whilst they're trying to eat! - Please make the menu on the wall larger and clearer. I had to squint to read it and also couldn't understand the options that were available. Please consider rewriting them for better clarity. - Please extend your opening hours. 3pm is very early to close a cafe! Otherwise I would recommend this place, but do keep these things in mind when you go. I'll be coming back because I liked the atmosphere, but it would be better if the above improvements were implemented.

One of the best independent coffee shops around!! I agree with the other reviewers that say it’s all about the staff. They were warm welcoming and again thats for everyone dine in or take out. A customer brought his dog and I think it was the owner who gave 🐶 some treats 💕 I had an open mozzarella, tomato and pesto salad on sourdough with a perfectly balanced flat white. Both were delicious. Excellence is the name of the game @CrushedBean
