The best restaurants in St James's City of London, Westminster London

Came here for lunch and had the veg thalli.. lovely presentation and variety but food was bland and some of the dishes were very salty. Had Spiced cheesecake which was good.

We enjoyed a really lovely afternoon tea at The Peers Dining Room. The food was delicious, staff attentive and the atmosphere was perfect. Such a unique experience. Every single member of staff from security at the entrance to the waiters in the dining room were helpful, informative and extremely pleasant. Looking forward to a return visit.

The panini sandwiches here were the best ones we have ever tasted, it was very friendly and nice service, Flam was the nicest guy who made the best hot chocolate! I would 100% reccomend this place to anyone who enjoys friendly service, a warm restaurant, delicious food and a welcome like no other. Love Orsini Cafe!!

l would like to share my wonderful experience during my stay in Taj Hotel, London when I visited UK as part of support team from Delhi during the visit of Hon'ble President of India. Amenities in my room were wonderful. I was looked after very well and all my requests were met quickly. I would like to mention Mr Eddy who was assigned to look after the refreshments/other requirement in the control room. Though he was mostly dealing with the Indian High Commission Staff but as and when I requested him for anything he was quick to respond. I met your kitchen team: chef Raj, chef Pathania and chef Vinod who all are wonderful people. Chef Vinod (Bistrol Restaurant), appears to be a very dynamic/deft and mesmerizing person who not only us delicious meals but also impressed with his ability to communicate with ease and could strike a friendly conversation with his guests. Food taste/quality was delicious/outstanding and better than many other places/restaurants where I have visited/eaten in the past. However, I had come to UK for work (Government Duty), which means a lot of hard work with exacting schedule, my stay was made comfortable by your team which helped me to discharge my responsibilities with ease by looking after me very well. Looking forward to visiting your hotel in future as well.

We arrived to the vessel at 7:30 to find a lengthy queue already forming. The weather was chilly, but fortunately no rain, or a great many would have suffered exposure to the elements in their fine dress. Thankfully we had done our research, and the FAQ section did warn of this possibility beforehand and we were not caught off guard. The onboarding process went fairly quickly and we were whisked away to our booth accommodated for 7. The champagne and wine pours were swift, substantial, and surprisingly superb. One might never know with “inclusive” beverage packages, but the elegant offering was spot on. We enjoyed Beef Wellington as our main. It was delicious and memorable. One of our guests suffers from a gluten allergy and the advance planning with the SS coordination team paid off. We enjoyed seamless service to address the dietary requirement from start to finish. This is critically important to a successful event, seeing as we would not have wanted to start our meal without everyone in our party having been served. Things could have quickly go awry with meals getting cold, but this was not endured by our party, and we could not have dreamt of a better outcome. The view for the fireworks was amazing and onboard music was entertaining and enjoyed by all. As a New Year’s celebration, it is expensive by most standards. Additionally, one must consider pricey pre-arranged car service. The transportation around London is quite challenging at New Years, with several road closures to navigate, and you’ll want informed and dependable transport. Trust your hotel concierge and prearrange! All things considered, it’s a highly recommended once in a lifetime experience.

This place is 2 mins walk from Westminster Abbey and it's fabulous. My fussy husband had a full breakfast for lunch and gave it a 9 out of 10. My daughter and I had a panini with cheese and ham and son had a jacket potato. The food was simple but very tasty and it was a bargain! Not London prices and big portions. The people were lovely and it felt good to be in a calm environment. Sunny day, so the back doors were open giving a really nice feeling. Thanks for giving us some chill time in your lovely space

Excellenrt steak - really good foor - but unfortunately had to close last month - October 2022. I spoke with the manager and he said they just didn't get the footfall required to continue. But all is not lost - the other sister restaurant is open in Belgravia and is well worth a visit.

When we went to Anita Gelato, the ice cream was great! We really liked strawberry 🍓, salted cashew 😋 and limoncello🍋 ice cream! The ice cream shop is big, there are lots of tables and it wasn't too busy. They have got some unusual flavours of ice cream, and the portions were big but in general we had an excellent experience!😀🍦🍨♥️

I felt a bit scammed. We had the lunch menu and the wine pairing. The lunch was £60. It looked very much like the pairing was £50. Should have been about a £200 lunch. The bill came and it was well over £350 as they had done me hard for each individual glass of wine. There was almost literally nobody else there on Friday lunchtime so I suspect they might be struggling but this felt grubby. I would advise anyone going to be very clear with them what the wine pairing costs.

i just buy simple bread and omlette there was no salt on omelette and the bread of 2piece and omlette which cost me 6.50 seriously we can buy whole bread packet within 4pound tbh i shoudl have asked the price before ordering later they already make it and i couldnt cancel and its bit awkard too cancel after they make it i used to eat same in strand and i though rate is also same i dont knew the rate will be too much difference

Conto più che onesto. Toilette bocciata.
