We were out walking around Leicester Square looking for somewhere to stop for dinner and happened upon Claude's Kitchen. The menu looked interesting and although not very large it had a good selection. We had the free range chicken dinner and the pan fried sea bass. Both were delicious. The lemon curd tart was a good choice for dessert. This was one of the best dinners we've had during our stay in London. The prices are reasonable. Portions aren't large but definitely worth it.

In the centuries old tourist trap that is Leicester Square few venues survive and even fewer make the list of places worthwhile to visit. So I am pleased to introduce you to Claude’s Kitchen. Formerly the Raddison’s Hotel Terrace Bar but for almost a year now (July 2023) it has been run as an entirely independent establishment, an all day modern European brasserie. As my readers know I have only recommended two places to drink & eat on Leicester Square… ever! These are of course the legend that is The Cork & Bottle, trading as it always has done since 1971 & the Hippodrome Casino (formerly Frank Marcham’s original Circus Theatre in 1900 & latterly Judy Garland’s last performance venue The Talk Of The Town in 1950s - The casino which when it was first renovated captured all this glory in 2012 - but now sadly it’s more famous for hosting the Magic Mike experience). Nothing else on the square warrants a mention until now. Run by a Polish Manager from the heights of a Mayfair establishment. This is the perfect venue if you’re looking to impress. The £5 Bar Snacks are worth paying for if you want to experience the two for one happy hour to wow a date - no stand alone liquor licence so you must buy something to eat.. I’d recommend the very decent Espresso Martinis (if they're using a Vanilla infused vodka - ask for less sugar), an inspired Banana Old Fashioned, which is a great twist on an old favourite or a classic if you're not feeling adventurous. The fact that you can get two for one cocktails from 5pm - 7pm makes this a great pre-theatre find too. Let’s not forget this is Leicester Square, so the prices are reflective but £13 for a classic cocktail is almost the standard across London these days anyway - but the quality of service, vibe, live music and views make this one of the best additions to the tourist zone of Central London in a long time. With the added bonus, that they also take cash - that's becoming somthing of a rarity in the area - even though it's be proven that tourists prefer to use it - go figure! So what's stopping you - go visit!

Much much better than Gordon Ramsay we went yesterday. Food is simply wonderful. The plates are hot, not warm. Sweetness of Mud pie is just right. The seatings are spacious. The natural light and comfort environment makes it simply the most pleasant dining experience for us in this whole Europe trip. Should go there Day 1 on your arrival so that you have opportunity to go again.

Left super frustrated as we did not at all get what we came for …… the waiter completely messed up the order and brought out English breakfast but mind you, the tea not the brunch plate although we were clearly there for brunch. We had ordered desserts as well so did not notice right away until it took forever to get the salty food - once we asked as we had to leave for our grain quickly where the entree was, he made it clear he had taken the wrong order and thought our beverages instead (we were surprised but figured it was included). That being said - the place was lovely, but between not being offered the wrong items for free, and not being allowed to cancel the reservation (we had tried but they warned it would be 25£ per person) - would not recommend unless you’re super clear with the staff. Restaurant was empty so this could have been a better experience.

Nice location off Leicester Square. Drinks orders were promptly taken while we perused the menu. Not fine dining by any means, but hearty food cooked well. The whitebait and mussels proved good choices as starters. Fish and chips and lamb followed, done to order in the case of the lamb. The fish suffered a little due to the batter having a somewhat bland and unseasoned taste, though the protein itself was cooked very well. Dessert for those up to it was a very good lemon curd tart. We felt the tables were well enough apart not to be intrusive; we had vacant tables either side in any case. Service overall was well-paced and professional.

We were expecting too much probably...the restaurant is old and lacking of soul, too dark. Food was good and the service was acceptable but nothing spectacular. We tried the famous fish and chips ($ 25.00), half of lobster ($ 29.00) and the popcorn prawns (9.00). Drinks were very good.

This place needs work. Lack of identity with the menu, it seemed a bit all over the place. The food took AGES to come out. A lot of deep fried items on nibbles and starters. Food was under seasoned. High price tag. Pints £8+ Positive is that service was friendly

This restaurant was amazing. From the atmosphere, to the food ( I had the fish and chips and it was so well cooked and just delicious!) to the staff! I went for a friend’s 21st birthday and the staff were so caring and lovely. Cristina looked after us sooo well. Honestly the best customer service I have received. She made us feel so welcome and I felt the genuine care from her. The restaurant itself looked beautiful and so nice for private dining. I would recommend this restaurant x100!

Food is VERY average. We had two appetizers-they were good. Two mains. One completely inedible-which I returned and was not charged for. The other was ‘okay’. Service nice. Bottom line: touristy place in a touristy area. If you want good food, go somewhere else.

Happened across this place as a group of 10 looking for a bite to eat on a busy Saturday. The gent at the door was very accommodating and confirmed that they could fit us in and showed us through to the back room which was a private dining area just for us. Perfect! We were a mix of children and adults. All kids meals looked great and the adults were easily tempted by the bottomless brunch which we found to be great value- a brunch dish, a side and 90mins of bottomless Prosecco for £39pp (other drink options were available) We had a very attentive waitress and were looked after really well. I’d recommend!

We stumbled across Claude's on a recent trip to London. What a treat. Beautifully presented & perfectly seasoned food. Attentive but discrete staff & by London prices, extremely good value for money. If you like good food, an understated atmosphere that is the antithesis of the norm in Leicester Square this is the place for you, a quiet oasis away from the crowds. Relatively newly opened as we were advised, wishing you every success you deserve it. Hope you have some port to go with the delicious cheese board next time we get to visit.

So many restaurants around Leicester Square in London are Tourist Traps. A Tourist Trap has indifferent food, poor service and is hugely over-priced. Claude's meets all of these criteria. There were two "greeters" at the door who were thoroughly enjoying their conversation. There was one...

When in London we return time and time again to this fabulous restaurant. The food is to die for. We always invite our friends to join us, and they say the same the, it's the best they've had for a long time. The service, food, atmosphere and drinks are fantastic. Thoroughly recommend a visit. And it's in a great spot.

Last evening we went as a group friends 9 in total to the restaurant. The quality and the quantity of food was poor. When we complained to one of the member of stuff, asking to see the manager or chef, no one came to us to explain or apologise! Definitely Won't go back ever again. ☹

El diseño del café era bastante algo. ¡Las mejores notas! Buen comienzo para el día. El personal es amable y, como se puede ver en el diseño, se ocupan de su café.
