Good food and good service, prices are ok. The famous dumplings are good.

The Hong Kong milk tea was the worst excuse for a milk tea I’ve ever seen. The tea was watery and not at all sweet. The photo on the menu was a clear cup, giving the appearance of a regular-sized cup but don’t get fooled like me because, in small fine print, it states 250 ml. Resulting in a very small espresso-style coffee cup :( I would recommend you don't order this

The custard bun is highly recommended, I have been there twice in 5 days

The things we ordered were just to die for! All a 10/10. We had the buns filled with beef, pork and custard. The sweet custard bun can also be eaten as a dessert and is an absolute must. The sesame rice noodles were so delicious too and the prawn wontons were the best I've ever had. They were filled with really big shrimp. Will definitely come again. Highly Recommended!

Service beyond horrible. They were still open and we bought a few items and needed the toilet. They wouldn't let us use them because they just cleaned them! We begged them. They still refused. I demanded a refund, which I got. Unbelievable.

Honestly is the best bun place I know, with amazing food and great Customer service.

Love eating here and taking away. The French toast serving is larger when you order takeaway. I don’t like French toast usually, but this French toast was amazing. The hot and sour waffle fries were a 10/10. The char Sui pork was so good. Grandma’s angry green beans are amazing as well. Just be careful when eating the custard bun because it definitely does spurt out!

I recently tried two bao buns from this shop one with chicken and one with beef. Unfortunately, the bao buns weren’t as warm as I would have preferred in fact, they were almost cold. The chicken bao bun didn't really complement the flavors well, in my opinion, though the beef one was alright. Additionally, the staff seemed to be in a real hurry, even though I was the only customer at that time. Overall, it was a less than satisfactory experience.

It is very lovely a bit tight if you are more than 3 people. Very creative and delicious. We came multiple times and were satisfied.

The food was very authentic Chinese. The buns in this restaurant are especially delicious. Hence the name. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes before you can order take-away dishes, as there is a queue in front of the restaurant at all times. To eat in the restaurant you have to wait around 20 minutes. The restaurant is a reasonable size for central London standards, but still too small for me.

Loved the buns and dumplings, so delicious. Unfortunately I have to give 3 stars as when I explained I suffered from a nut allergy I was told they’d changed supplier and didn’t know what was in any of their food. It was also explained that all the recipes were secret and therefore they didn’t have access to this information. I took the risk and things were fine but I’m pretty sure this isn’t actually legal since the introduction of ‘Natasha’s Law’. Any way in summary, food was good but the lack of allergen info was concerning

Lovely staple of Chinatown. Perfect place to grab a quick trio of buns before a movie at the Prince Charles or a show at Leicester Square Theatre. Delicious, quick, cheap, and always reliable. Perfect place for a quick bite in Soho/Chinatown.

Visited on Sunday afternoon. Place had a small queue outside it, and we entered asking for a seat inside. They took us in and took our order promptly. Service was swift. We had a vegetable and a custard bun each, as well as a Kaya French Toast each. From the outside, the buns look identical. The vegetable bun was good, but the custard tart was excellent. Very runny custard with really good flavour. A bit messy to eat, but great tasting. The kaya french toast was very indulgent, but at the same time, not too sweet. Overall a very enjoyable small meal - will visit again when I'm in the area.

We tried the savory and sweet buns. The bao itself was very fluffy and tasty, but we didn’t care for the fillings.

The noodles are amazing, the Q-bombs are delicious, the quicksand buns are juicy, and the beef, sheep, and pig are all delicious.

Very delicious food, attentive service, and more spacious seating than in other places in the area. However, the portion sizes of most plates are those of a degustation menu, but the prices - those of a regular meal.

Bun house was my favourites quick eat spot when they just opened in Soho. This time was my first visit since they relocated to China town, and sadly I have to say that they have lost their touch. Over all their dishes were good, though I thought their main dish buns weren’t that extraordinary. I prefer the wonton over the buns, but didn’t get why they don’t have basic condiments on the table if they serve some dim sum dishes. Personally, their queue system was not efficient. Many people seemed confused about how to get in in front of their entrance as there was no staff navigating them. Also it’s way too small number eat in space inside so the wait was too long for a quick bites.

We have all the buns each and i loved pork one😋 the french toast was amazing. The only thing i wish for them to be improved was the font size of the menu, which was way too small so it makes us hard to read🥲 food is absolutely delicious but the amount of food is small.

Delicious in every way, everything on the menu is perfect comfort food. Used to be an underground spot- now really popular, so watch out for queues. Recommend lamb bun and chili wontons the most.

I still dream about the Kaya french toast and the hot and sour wonton !! Excellent !

It was very very fast service, so delicious, it was egg but was and soft and so yummy. It was hot, so be careful, but overall I really enjoyed.

A queue outside of a restaurant is always a good sign, but the wait wasn’t too long. We were greeted and served by friendly staff, the food was fresh and delicious, will be back!

The entrance is a bit small and people love to stand in the doorway. Please read the signs and stand on the correct side. Other than that, the buns were great.

There are many many dumpling places in London's Chinatown. We stumbled into this one by accident and it is awesome. Cool decor, great dumplings

The buns were good, but the service was a bit hasty/careless. 2 of my 6 take-away buns were wrong (and unfortunately the 2 I was most eager to try were the missing ones)!

The best baos I’ve tried in my life. All the savoury baos were amazing and we even liked the custard one which was super delicious. Would highly recommend checking out this gem in Chinatown. The takeaway service is super fast and efficient,

Buns were ok but only lukewarm. The char sou pork was much better. Iced teas were nice.

Ultra delicious buns. I liked the “beef” version best, my partner liked the “pork”. The dough is ultra fluffy. We got a table straight away and the buns even came before the drinks, the service was so quick. Reordering wasn't a problem. I would say that you should expect 3 buns if you want to be full :)

The custard bun was delicious. Also tried the kaya French toast which was yummy but was definitely not expecting it to be as small as it was. It was more like a bite sized French toast. The food is great, but definitely overpriced for the portion size.

Food is not authentic at all - pre made items that are “warmed” at best. All dishes were served slightly warm or barely warm. Servers were great though, apologetic and attentive

I did takeaway in the end as the buns are 3 for £11. The buns were really tasty, very soft and quite filling. Word of advice- Be prepared to shove the custard bun in, in one go- it’s super messy and everyone in Leicester Square kindly put up with my surprise at the bun ‘popping’. Presentation was nice but service was a bit snippy- maybe the guy was having a bad day but he was getting frustrated with customers not knowing where to go in a tiny shop. Worth it though!

The custard buns alone brought me back to this place four times while I was in London for a month! It was absolutely delicious and everything is prepared so fresh and hot! While you’re in London, do NOT miss out on this place! Fast service during the week but can be slow during the weekend due to crazy lines.

Be careful with the Chinese woman, she is a scammer, you can't understand her when she speaks, we have been there five minutes ago and they charged my friend twice, when we went to complain instead of refunding they charged him again. In short, some scoundrels who take advantage of people's hunger have finally laughed at my poor friend. #hungry #scammed

Tastiest buns ever!!! Very slow service, took ages but was worth it! The man was also nice and let my little cousin watch him stamp some buns. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Great options really tasty food! If you want to sit in just walk past the queue and ask as there is usually a queue for takeaway buns. Get a selection as they aren't that filling. They are cooked to perfection very fluffy!

Got some takeaway buns. Pork, chicken and custard. Loved each one of them! They are a must try! The bread is fantastic, soft and slightly sweet, with flavorful fillings.

The buns are very good, but the rest of the menu is where the true highlights hide! Try a bit of everything. The kaya french toast and fried tofu are particularly awesome.

This is one of the best places in the world for Chinese food. It’s a simple and limited menu. But what they cook will just wow you. Definitely sample the Char Siu Pork with grilled pineapple and fried egg.

An okay bun place with a simple but nicely done menu. Clearly overpriced. Sauces are extra, which is unusual for an Asian restaurant. Must be a London thing.

There are two lines outside: one to sign up and eat inside and the other to wait for the takeout order that you have to order at the register I tried the car huao, shu mai and hot&sour wonton, I ordered them to take away, the first two are delicious but they were missing a sauce, the best were the hot&sour wonton

I had the vegetable bun while my family had the custard one. Absolutely gorgeous. Super soft and fluffy and filled to the brim with fillings. We got the buns to take away and steam at home.and the staff couldn't have been more helpful with how to steam at home.and for.how long etc. we absolutely love.ot.here.and will be back again and again. Thank you!

Small place, good service great food, a must at London

wanted to give these a try as I've seen them on everyone's blog/insta. Pretty average tasting to be fair. However the custard one was very full. Worth a try.

lamb and pork buns were fine, though custard buns were bursting with filling and were truly the best I've had

Absolutely gorgeous custard buns, super gooey and not super sweet. Would recommend using it as a dipping bowl for the fluffy bun! Also if you take away you can jump the queue usually👌🏽

Great bao buns. Had pork, mushroom buns so yummy. Also some pork wonton and deep fried tofu. So tasty and fresh. Served promptly and friendly staff. Only a few tables though so be patient, it’s worth it

Way too overpriced. A plate of rice noodle is 8 pounds which in HK would be 2.5 pounds. Team was very nice. Tastes decent just not value for money. And the floor was sticky.

It’s unfortunate that we didn’t get to try the custard bun since we arrived late 🥲 But we got lamb bun and beef bun, they were pretty good. The dough is so soft but still chewy, the filling was flavorful. We will need to comeback for the infamous custard bun 😆

We ordered three different buns to take away and received them very quickly. We chose beef, chicken and vegetarian - all three were delicious! We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely eat there again.

Soft rolls with various fillings. There is an option to eat in or take away. Surprising taste of egg yolk and mango rolls.

Bun House was once one of my favourite spots in China Town, but my recent visit left me extremely disappointed. Despite informing the staff of my nut allergy and being ok with cross-contamination, I was informed that every dish now contains nuts. This seems hard to believe, especially since they still offer vegetable options. While I understand the challenges restaurants face with allergies, it's disheartening that the company and staff couldn't accommodate. I hope they reevaluate their approach to allergy management in the future.

This was my favourite restaurant in London for the last few years. However, nuts are now in all dishes so I can't go anymore! I can have trace of nut but I have nut allergy.
