Bun House in City of London, Westminster

I ordered rice and tofu to eat in. Only the tofu came and it wasn't great. I also ordered buns to take away and they were really good.

We have been today and they served us super quickly, the bathrooms were incredible and of a considerable size. We recommend it to anyone who likes baths

The buns are amazing although the mass is bigger than the inside, the taste is delicious. They could bring them even more hot as it is only mild warm.

Place found through social media recommendations and easily found while walking around Chinatown. Bun taken to take away after 5 minutes in line since we arrived quite early on site (until around 8pm in fact there wasn't a large number of people), we tried the beef bun, chicken bun and pig bun, all good especially the 'last. Not too expensive for a quick snack.

We ordered the box of the 3 bao bread. We chose the chicken and curry, the beef and the egg yolk one, all three were very good and the bread is perfect, the egg yolk one is sweet but it was also very delicious. We ordered it to take away but there are also tables where you can eat.

If you like bread baos I recommend it, we tried the egg yolk one, the curry chicken and beef one, my recommendation in that order, all three cost us 11 pounds

A very small place, they make some great Japanese buns with very different flavors. There is a long line but they go fast, it is worth doing it. A good snack

I came in with high expectations. BAD IDEA A lot of fame, but I really didn't think it was anything spectacular for the prices it has. Plus it's a super small place and I felt like they were kicking me out because they have to clear tables so more people can enter. I left there and went to eat at the restaurant across the street.

The beef bun was very good. The egg one is too sweet for my taste. Maybe a little expensive for the amount of food we ate, but it's more or less standard London price.

We had great expectations but unfortunately these buns were nothing special, and they were a bit small compared to the price (if you eat inside there are also service fees). In addition, there is some waiting time. You can try it and figure out your opinion 😀

Very good and juicy buns. We tried the pork, beef and lamb although I would highlight the wontons. Great spicy sauce, homemade pasta and shrimp filling with a brutal flavor. It is small although there are some tables inside, many people order takeout. Fast and attentive service

Food was good. Service was quick and people was nice. Depending on the time, it gets quite busy for both takeaway and dine in. So lot of queues. But the food is generally always hot.

Excellent! Nothing to say, everything is made in an artisanal way, the bao have an exquisite taste, the best baos we have ever eaten. Be careful with passing times, if you pass during meal times, there may be a long wait, but it is worth the detour. I highly recommend!

We were able to eat inside after 15 minutes of waiting. Everything is very well organised, the take away packaging is really cool. As for the food, the buns were really excellent as were the wantons. Compliments!

As I walked up, there were lots of people queuing. Upon asking some people some wanted to sit in and some takeaway, it wasn't organised. I ordered a bun to take away. The lady serving me was nice and very busy. The bun was nice, but for a savoury one, it was a tad sweet.

Long Distance For Custard Buns I always order custard buns whenever enter this restaurant. How can you forget that hot lava custard filling? As a reminder, eat the bun slowly or the filling will leak. Always keep the top side(the side with words) face towards yourself while eating, as the top is thicker than the bottom.

Came here for a quick lunch and it was delicious! Had to pork bun and wonton which was soooo good! And the Custard bun was amazing! Definitely recommend for a quick bite to eat when visiting China town!

I saw this place on YouTube as something worth trying in Chinatown but we didn’t like it. The bun is too sweet. The fillings were ok. I wouldn’t recommend it. The interior is very basic, cold atmosphere.

I had high expectations with all the hype. Their buns are good but I have had better, I would go back but not for the food alone so not a good takeaway for me. It’s a fun place to meet with friends.

The chicken wings, rice noodles, salt squid, waffles fries and prawns dumplings were good. The chicken bun the filling was good but the buns were too sweet for me.. We seat at first floor and there were 2 small seating areas almost full. The waiter was super polite, price reasonable the food was average if i will come back only for the French toast which was very delicious.

Haven’t been in some time now especially since it became 3 for £11. Used to be 4 for £10, absolute quality deal.

The custard bun is a must try but cannot have more than 1 because it is super sweet. Be careful when you bite it because the custard filling is very runny and hot. The outer dough is super soft and nice. £3.80 each. Card only payments.

The buns were absolutely delicious, with a soft, fluffy texture and tasty filling, though slightly on the runny side. The place was quite busy, but since we opted for takeaway, the 10-minute wait was no problem. Definitely worth it for such a tasty treat!

They are good, soft buns, the lamb one for sure my favourite. Always coming here for a quick snack if it’s not too busy. We also ordered Soy Black Vinegar Wonton, it was good, but only 5 mini pieces for £8.6 not sure if it’s worth it haha. Overall nice place.

Amazing buns! Very fluffy and delicious. Particularly loved the pork one. The dumplings were also great. The waffles fried were okay, nothing special, but the curry mayo was good overall. Just a bit overpriced. So, maybe next time we'll stick to the buns and the dumplings.

I went to Bun House last week with my friends. We ordered 6 Bun soft Dough balls filled with chicken, pork, or many others options. The menu offers enough variety. The service was very fast. Bun house is cheap and the food is really good.

Very small place with few tables. Most buy takeaway. It's very rich

Good for a quick bite, don't forget to take off the paper on the bottom of the buns 😂 they make the tea to your preference, if you try it and it is not to your liking they said that they will remake it, we liked the way it was initially made and there was no need for redo.

Bun House is the great meet up spot and easy to locate around the street. Had small group dinner with local mate from London and he brought us here. The restaurant seemed to have compact space but it’s comfortable enough to occupy larger scale of group. They utilized every corner of the space for utilities such as washroom for ladies in the midst of stair. The food however was good. The buns were served warm and soft. The size might be small but with the generous filling of each flavor the size wont matter anymore. Other menus on the table were tasty. The chicken, the tofu and dumplings. We had lovely surroundings during the evening, not much noise from other groups. The waiters were attentive and helpful during the dining.

Great place of buns in China town in London. Really really enjoyed it. The buns were great; dim sum as well. Waffle fries with curry mayo were okay. The tofu was okay, was just a teeny tiny little bit underwhelmed by the tofu because I had really high expectations, but it was objectively very good. So, nothing to complain about the food. The service was decent. Our server was great but not all the staff were as welcoming. It was a tad pricey but would definitely come back. Very much recommended !!

The restaurant is located in the Chinatown district, in the heart of London. There were long queues in front of the entrance and you had to wait a long time for a table. Optionally, you can also order takeaway food. We ordered a set of 6 pampuchis (buns), each with a different flavor filling: vegetarian, with chicken, beef, mutton, pork and a strange yellow cream inside (sweet, delicious in taste, worth leaving it for the very end for dessert). The buns looked and tasted delicious. This set of 6 pieces was completely sufficient for two people. We paid about £26 for it. I highly recommend the "bunsy" served here - an extraordinary, surprising and diverse dish. It's worth trying because it's hard to compare these flavors to anything else.

Took a while to get served, but when we did get served, food came out really quickly. Spicy beef brisket was fantastic. Not to keen on the chicken and duck dishes we ordered, but they were okay.

Delicious food and good location; but the service was not friendly at all. They also forced us to consume one more dish than we wanted to order because they said that we had to spend a minimum of £15 per person, and it didn't indicate it anywhere.

Just got the takeaway this afternoon, one of the bun got MOULD!!! Total unacceptable! At the bottom of The beef one! That could have been missed! Check before you eat!!!

We had the shrimp dumplings and the custard buns. The dumplings looked quite simple but they were flavorful and had a good amount of filling. The custard bun was amazing we even ordered another!

We ordered custard bun and it was so good. Free service water as well. We included Bun house in our Chinatown London foodtrip. The floor though as slippery at that time maybe because it was rainy but nonetheless it waa great.

We tried going on the weekend and didn’t want to wait so long in line. On a Monday it was much easier to get in quickly. We had five plates, all of which were good.

Maybe I was expecting too much from this place that I just got a bit disappointed. From the food to the service, everything was just ok, nothing special compared to the other Chinese restaurants in china town. The server was keeping taking the menu even if we asked if he could leave one at our so we could order more, and it was a bit annoying. It would have been nicer to tell us that it was not possible instead of saying yes and do something else. The place is nice and cool.

Found this restaurant on Google suggestions and pictures and reviews sealed the deal to go there for lunch on our second day in London. It was easy to find and had a queue of customers outside that had already ordered takeout, so already showing its popularity i knew it was the right choice. We stepped in and asked if we could eat in, they were just about to open the upstairs part of the restaurant which didn't take long. The atmosphere and service was great, menu is simple but plentiful. We went there with interest in having the buns 2 savoury then 2 custard and some Japanese milk tea. I ordered the beef my sister ordered the chicken, both were delicious and filled with plenty of filling. The custard buns were also delicious although a little runnier than expected, its not thick custard like you get in donuts so be warned if your going to dig right in, it was just the right amount off sweetness to it not overly sweet at all. Would go again.

Tasty French toast with clotted cream but manager was so loud when telling me I can’t eat in after selecting takeaway unless I want to pay extra. Made me feel awkward in front of other customers in the restaurant so minus points for that. The one who actually served was polite

Bun House has been the darling of the Instagram influencer set for a year or so, and while they are certainly an affordable option in a city that tends to be expensive to eat in, I can only go as far as "fine" to describe the buns. We had a pig bun and a custard bun. The pork filling wasn't terribly interesting nor plentiful. The custard was "different" but not offensive. I would however encourage you to try them for yourself.,

I suggest this place for various reasons, first of all the food was amazing, secondly the service was so nice. We found an Italian guy that helped us since my boyfriend has some allergies.

You might have to wait up to 15 minutes for your order, depending on when you arrive. We got beef, veg and custard buns, all of which were delicious. However, I especially recommend the spicy wontons - they are to die for!

I had a very unpleasant experience at Bun House when I ordered a custard bun to go. When I opened it later, I discovered it was actually a pork bun. As a Hindu, I cannot eat pork, and this mistake nearly caused me to unintentionally sin. I am extremely disappointed with their service and would not recommend this establishment

Great bao buns, best in China Town. There was a small queue, but it moved quickly as service was very efficient. Beware of the custard buns... they really do squirt, if you're wearing white and have a beard (as I was haha) I'd be extra careful 🤣 the bbq pork buns are highly recommended too

I went with the takeaway option of 3 bao buns for 11 £. I visited this place as it was trending on social media platforms and thought this would also turn out to be one of the over-hyped traps. Boy.....was I so wrong. Their bao buns were absolute bangers. I had to choose 3 bao buns and after standing out and deciding with great difficulty I went with the chicken, beef and pork buns. All 3 were absolute bangers. The chicken bao buns knocked it right out of the park. The other 2 were great as well. It was my first time trying bao buns and Bun House definitely made it a special one. Kudos guys !!

This time in Chinatown we decided to try this Bun House and we loved it. It's a small restaurant with all the oriental atmosphere. We ordered the famous Buns which were spectacular. We also ate squid with pepper and salt, shrimp dumplins, shrimp and cucumber dim sums with soy vinaigrette, the little one ate pork belly with fried egg and jasmine rice. It was a beautiful dinner. We really liked it.
