Some one asked if i would do a review for a cafe i have never heard of and Telecommunication International would pay me. If I had been there and tried the menu, had communication with their staff i could rate it higher. With no samples, no visit etc I only have the base make to work from.

The BEST coffee in London! Kaffeine's coffee uses high quality beans that are perfectly roasted and you can really tell. The baristas are really knowledgable about coffee, in addition to being good at their craft. I love that Kaffeine actually cares about their filter coffee (many places don't, but a good filter is firmly my favourite type of coffee); the Thailand filter they have on now is really interesting and unique! I also had a dirty chai here; I had never had a dirty chai before (and it sounded strange?), but it's was fabulous and my be up there with my new favourite drinks; I like that the chai , which is good by itself too, is really cinnamon-y and not overly sweet unlike other places. They have alternative milks here free of charge (as everywhere should), which is appreciated as someone who is lactose intolerant; the oat milk they use is super high quality as well (not oatly) which compliments the excellent coffee well in milky drinks. The baristas do really pretty latte art on the hot drinks as well,, even when it is busy, which is appreciated since the art is lovely and brightens my day. Their food is fantastic as well. Many coffee shops do food "on the side" and don't take it seriously, but Kaffeine clearly takes their food seriously in and of itself. Their quiche is probably the best I've had and served in monolithic slabs, which actually makes it a pretty good lunch deal! Their salad offerings are creative too and everything, like the coffee, is excellent quality. They have a lot of dessert choices as well and it is impossible to choose; I am addicted to the anzac cookies, though, at the moment and eat one (or two) a day. As a UCL student, I'm shocked it took me so long to discover this place, but I am so glad I did; Kaffeine is my new go to coffee and lunch spot.. The place is very small, but they fit in a surprising amount of seating and it is quite comfortable. You get all sorts of people there-- tourists wandering in, shoppers off the high street, employees from the office near by, and uni students like myself; some local employees work there for a couple hours and you see them with their computers, while some people just come in for a quick bite to eat. It's interesting people watching and truly a melting pot for all sorts (I've had some interesting conversations there, actually). It isn't the best for large groups, given the seating, though. They do not have wifi, which some people resent, but I appreciate it honestly and I tihnk it is a nice place to read a book while sipping a drink (or god forbid, talk to people). Additionally, I appreciate that Kaffeine is not a chain. It's a local business, which makes it feel more authentic. It's clearly run by people who like coffee and for people who like coffee. Quite a few of their competitor boutique coffee shops (cf. WatchHouse, Store Street to some degree) have expanded too much and too quickly in that compromised their quality standards and lost their heart, so I am glad that Kaffeine remains small, high quality, unique, and a community centre. Oh and get the banana bread! And the Anzac cookie! Or both!

As an Australian who works in the cafe scene back home I had very high hopes for Kaffeine. Unfortunately, it did not meet those hopes. Let's get the positives out of the way first. The wait staff were lovely and accommodating (more on that later), the food was downright delicious and the treat selection was incredible. If you're going here for a feed I cannot recommend it enough. Now the one negative thing: the coffee. Mine and my partner's coffee was downright undrinkable. Genuinely the worst coffee I've ever had. Bitter and sour with a terrible after-taste that you couldn't wash out. That being said, when I raised this with staff they promptly made a remake free of charge. My second coffee was (by London standards) great! It was hands down the best coffee I've had in London. However, by the standards of an Australian cuppa (which is how this place bills itself) it was pretty average. The coffee was still bitter, albeit only very slightly, and lacked any body. I understand the coffee scene is wildly different in London but as a cafe that markets as Australian, I wouldnt say it lived up to that. (The pancakes were amazing though!!!)

Kaffeine is the café I enjoy going the most in London. There is too much to fit in a single review, but I'll share some of the highlights: The coffee: I'm no connoisseur, but it always smells so good that I end up keeping the cup near my face so that I enjoy it a bit more. It tastes great and more importantly it is super consistent (over many years of visits). I deeply dislike it when the coffee tastes too acidic and luckily I never got a cup from Kaffeine that tasted too acidic (unlike many other high-end coffee shops in London). The staff: you can really tell Kaffeine staff is different compared to other cafés. They are quick, friendly, don't mix or forget your order. They never try to rush me and they let me enjoy my coffee and food in peace. They are a happy-looking bunch. Most of the staff stick around for a number of years and I witnessed the owner, Peter, to be protective of the staff in a number of occasions which I really appreciate and makes me want to support this business even more. The ambiance: both Kaffeine cafés look classy (mostly) with high chairs that bring you in line with people standing up. It is a satisfying experience. The furniture is wooden and it has lovely details that I notice every year and appreciate a little more. It is reminiscent of modernist interior design.

There was no mention of “please wait” or courtesy as I mentioned in my review. To be clear I have no issue with waiting or being patient, and nor does your CCTV capture audio footage I presume. The point is that when explaining there is no need to be so dismissive and surly. I am fully aware of how to behave in a retail environment - one of mutual respect and consideration - absent in this interaction. My review states that; and explains that it was not inappropriate for us to be there at that particular time. We were treated like we had committed a misdemeanour. Happy to be asked to wait of course but not spoken to in a derisory manner. If I was asked to wait and it was only 30 seconds, why would I not wait? Why leave? Surely the reason I left is because we felt unwanted and as if we had trespassed. V rude when asked if they were open - 7:30am opening time, and refused service - was given a very surly dismissive reply. Used to frequent this cafe, will not do so now. Can be polite and courteous. Opening time is meant to be opening time not a general vague suggestion surely?

I've been meaning to come here for a good few years now. I now see why the world didn't bring me round; I needed to experience it all before finding the best. Such that I might truly say I've found the best. I can see now where much of the London template has evolved from. Excellent coffee. I had a Flat White (two, in fact), and one key difference was the "sugar absorption", something which I feel is linked to the barista touch. Other places that are also top, with great blends, tend to have poor sugar absorption, which makes for a less taste heavy drink. (Of course, this is a sweet-coffee-drinker thing so it is quite difficult to notice.) The service was very good, well regulated despite it being busy. And the atmosphere was, I must say, just right. In a sense, I cannot believe I didn't make it here earlier, but it was well worth the wait.

I'm an occasional traveller, so, when I come to London, for the majority of bars, cafes and restaurants I barely check the prices because, London is expensive, as simple as that. However, taking into account the city, this place is fairly priced. Coffees are even cheaper in my opinion than in some places. It is probably in my top 5 favourite spots for coffee in London. I got the poached eggs on sourdough toasts with hollandaise sauce, and it was simply delicious. 12£, yes, but worth the money. Do not know who cooked it but if it ain't a chef, please, take care of that artist. There is not much space, they do have some bagels, sandwiches and pastries or sweet things like cake but they definitely focus more on quality than quantity, which is appreciated. Visited Wrights Cafe Pall Mall last weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! I also had a coffee and it was the best one i have had in the area….The prices are definitely on the cheaper side, especially for the area. Staff are friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend to all!!!

Date of visit: 10th of February, 2025 Best Fish&Chips in London! The price is reasonable, especially after you see the size of the fish. I think I found a fine restaurant. It's the best fish & chips I've had in London. The portion size is large, so I think people who usually eat small portions could share it with three people (of course, you should ask politely if you can order it that way). I liked it even more because it was a quiet neighborhood and the interior of the restaurant had a calm atmosphere.

Stopped with a friend for a quick bite to eat and a pint. We both had the roast beef ciabatta and it was excellent.
