The Rose Lounge in City of London, Westminster

Excellent service, marginal tea & desserts. Really liked the scones & butter. Superior presentation. It's not worth equivalent $150.00 spent on afternoon tea for one person. Upholstery could use some updating. I personally had a better afternoon tea session (with friends & family), Las Vegas, Nevada, Manderin Oriental and Sunset over the LV Strip. This was years ago. Open to an experience that would top this in the future (Las Vegas).

We were in London, so we couldn't miss afternoon tea. We made a reservation at The Rose Lounge at the Sofitel Hotel, a refined and very beautiful environment, polite, super attentive people who came to assist us, upon seeing that we were Brazilians, they called a Brazilian woman who works at the hotel and who was very friendly and pleasant. The food served is paired with different flavors of tea, and there is also the option of coffee. Very tasty, fresh, freshly prepared treats that arrive at your table warm. The waiters guide us in the order in which the teas should be tasted, first bringing us a little of the leaf so we can feel the branches, then the teas are served. A really cool experience, where we were able to see, feel and experience a bit of British customs. Go with the mood and a good appetite to eat, because it is very well served and the quantity per person is for those who eat a lot. It wasn't cheap, but it was VERY worth it, when traveling, all experiences must be had.

I really appreciated how accommodating the staff was to my food allergies. Everything was taken care of, and it was a wonderful, relaxing experience with delicious tea and food!

High tea for family and kids was incredible. Absolutely wonderful. Service, food, drinks, etc. Not cheap at all but not unreasonable by London prices. The service for our kids was absolutely fantastic, they were given so much attention and care. Georgiana (sp?) was incredible. Would recommend easily. Our 6 (girl) and 8 year old (boy) loved it. Quote from my son "That was the best meal I've ever had" of course it was 2 hours of pure sweets, but ok. The edible paint is a really nice touch too! Super fun. Adult tea was great right alongside the kids.

Amazing afternoon tea and experience! The beautiful decor set the tone of the visit from the beginning. The rose lounge is quiet and quaint providing an ambiance for a relaxing afternoon. The food and teas were delicious. The server was calm, attentive, and took his time explaining the menu, each tea, and each course. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful experience. The staff onsite gives a great time to sit back and enjoy. Wonderful food and tea, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend. On the downside, it’s not cheap!

Perfect place to have the proper Afternoon Tea Experience for a fair price that’s not over the roof. The salon is not big, but it’s decorated tastefully and feels very royal-like. The staff was welcoming and very attentive, explaining every course with detail. The food was amazing. Great variety both savory and sweet with the best scones and mermelada I tasted. Perhaps the portions were a bit big considering all the food they offered but I suppose it’s better for them to be big rather than small. The entire experience is an absolute must if it’s your first visit in London.

Savoury Selection: 10/10 - Definitely among the highest quality in terms of 5-star afternoon tea in London. Can't tell if it's refillable as we weren't offered the option, but we're both glad we didn't have a 2nd round, as they were themselves quite heavy not to mention the following courses were just as substantial. Sweet Selection: 9/10 - Again, among the best for sure, but not the best we'd had. Also, each of them was of a decent size, unlike the very miniature style offered in some other hotels. Even the complimentary celebration cake tasted surprisingly good - it's a generous slice of dark chocolate mousse cake. Scones: Shockingly disappointing. Store-bought scones in my pantry would have been so much better. Also, we thought we would get to try the rose jam, but were offered only a good old strawberry jam. Tea: Pairing as indicated on the menu was fine. If you are a tisane person, however, only the most common peppermint, chamomile, lemon ginger, etc. are available. Vibe: 10/10 - The interiors, tea set and plates were all stunningly rosy. No doubt an instagrammable experience. Staff: 9/10 - Friendly staff, satisfactory service, though there were gaps where no one was around within the lounge when we needed something. They offered the anniversary cake, congratulated us, and were so helpful in taking some nice pictures for us. It was not busy on a Sunday. We had our quiet, peaceful afternoon. Overall, we so very much enjoyed the experience. Recommended!

Outstanding service - really couldn’t fault anything. Informal, relaxed and very friendly and attentive including to the children. Nice to find a place like this that caters for the whole family. A very intimate venue and lovely food.

Friendly service, we had high expectations because €180 for an afternoon High Tea is quite expensive (2 persons). We were told 4 courses, starter with sandwiches were okay but not in terms of price and quality. Course 2 was a dry cake with butter, course 3 was an etagère with cakes, quite tasty but certainly not home made. Course 4 turned out not to be there, those were the scones that were on the etagère that were served with the cakes in course 3. Too bad I was really looking forward to culinary delights, but it just wasn't a spectacle because, let's face it, High Tea comes from England after all. Service was really friendly but it was not an experience for us.

One has to admit that this is the easiest afternoon tea to book at the last minute during Christmas in London. It's located in the Sofitel hotel. The location is good, right off Regent Street. However, the lounge itself is quite small, essentially serving as the hotel's lobby sitting area with about ten tables in total. For Christmas, they recommend the Christmas set, priced at £70 (without champagne) and £80 (with champagne), per person. The tea, although fleet, is just tea bags, and I reckon the ones at my home might be better. The first savory course includes a salmon tart, two types of sandwiches, and a baked cheese sandwich; the second sweet course has about five desserts. They're not bad, but certainly not memorable. The service staff are extremely busy throughout, quickly explaining the products and swiftly serving the meals, lacking the ceremonial feel of afternoon tea. If you can book somewhere else, definitely don't choose this one. If you really can't book anywhere else, I suggest just going to any five-star hotel for tea and desserts, which would probably be more worthwhile and atmospheric. We later regretted not having tea at our hotel.

I booked this place on 14 December at 6.31am and cancelled 6.37am cause the place I wanted opened up. I cancelled well before the 24hour rule.(Booking was for 15 December 2.30pm) I wake up this morning and I have been charged 241.50GBP on the day before the event even. I am outraged. This is how I wake up on my birthday. With a scam. I called the bank ASAP and they told me that it is not normal to take the money BEFORE the event even happens and that I should contact the place ASAP in which I did and guess what they respond"Come again". Ignoring completely that they billed me for a service I never had and got a confirmation email confirming my cancelation in due time. This is horrible service and it has frankly ruined my day.I want my money back. Did not expect to be scammed on my birthday and by such a "classy" place

Het is totaal overpriced!! Hapjes waren lekker, maar niet bijzonder en soms zelfs uitgedroogd. De setting is leuk, bediening vriendelijk, maar dat valt allemaal in het niet bij een prijs van €113 per persoon!! Echt zonde en zo niet nodig. Ik schrijf eigenlijk nooit reviews, maar zag achteraf dat de laatste review van deze lounge in 2020 was. Er is heel wat veranderd (vooral in de prijs) en dus tijd voor een realistische update.

I have been to the Rose Lounge for many years, I usually make my visit with my family when they visit me in London from Hong Kong every year. I am always a fan of the lounge for the afternoon tea, but this time, the experience was not so great. My family finally came to visit after 3 years due to Covid-19, and we made ourselves to the lounge as usual. However, by the time we visit, the lounge only provided the 'Diptyque' afternoon tea instead of the ordinary one which we usually ordered. I used to order a set for two to share among three people as we want to leave room for dinner, and we did this for many years. The waitress bring us to our seats and asked if we have been here before and I said yes, so she leave us alone with the menu, I try to order the Diptyque set for two person to share among three, and the waitress told us we cannot do this as this will have to be ordered per headcount, so I asked again if that is not possible to share our tea set, and she said very rudely " thats why I asked if you've been here before!" and other customers looked at us which made us feel embarrassing, she could have told us in a nicer way to explain, the rules have changed so we would order the set per headcount, we ordered three cream-tea set at last as we cannot eat the whole set for three and we would never come again!

Wonderful english tea lounge if you want to celebrate a real english afternoon tea. The service was - as expected in a 5 star environment - excellent!! We had nice scones and a delicious cup of tea. The best place at a rainy afternoon.

Your afternoon tea concept needs work. Several bite sized savory pastries which included one sandwich was a joke. At least, the flavor profiles do come close to satisfaction. You’re trying too hard to be ultra posh. A few notches back to basics is very much needed. I was not impressed with the popsicle after the savory course. Dessert: let just say i have no complaints. But scones as the last course like who does that. This experience will most likely remain as the worst afternoon tea experience. P.S. I rarely write negative reviews.

Beautiful place. Amazing sandwiches, scrumptious pastries. It's everything I dreamed it would be and more. As a Texan I've dreamed of having a proper British tea and this place delivered.

One of the best afternoon teas I’ve ever tried so far in London. The super lovely Greek waitress Anna was very professional and friendly at the same time, surely she helped us to have an even greater time. Recommend 100%!

Came in for afternoon tea. The food is good. Some of the staff is not trained enough to provide adequate service. The price is also uncompetitive. Maybe this is why there was still a lot of availability on an Easter weekend. It’s a good place if you want to have an afternoon tea at the last minute, but if you are booking in advance, there are always better options with the quality and the pricing in London.

You are not informed of the price before you're there. It is very expensive compared to other alternatives for afternoon tea. The food was just amazing, and the cakes was fabulous. Unfortunately the staff showed little knowledge of the tea they served, and one pot had to be sent back because they ruined the tea by over-heating the water and leaving the leaves for way too long, causing it to go bitter. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff was well timed with every part of the meal.

So much fun and really good food for the kids. My kids are tough critics and they said it was an 11 out of 10. Really good and great staff. Must do!

Please avoid this place! Being regular visitor of Sofitel globally, i couldnt believe how bad this place is. They served spoiled milk with our coffees, by saying spoiled it was sour and very bad smell. they still charged us (took of only two americano of the bill but the rest kept) and didnt even apologised, not a single word from the staff. Felts like it was our fault we got the bad product. There so many nicer places in london for afternoon tea where you feel welcomed and festive. The Rose Lounge is sad disappointment. I dont know the names of a waiter and a hostess lady but were here on December 29th.

Terrible food and extremely slow service We made a reservation for afternoon tea. The reservation stated that our table was booked for 90 minutes. Between the first and second course we had to wait a full hour. The pastries were terrible. Waiter braucht the wrong drink and did not even take it off the bill. A complete waste of time and money in my opinion.

This was a delightful place to have tea. The Earl Grey tea was superb. The service is also great. Plus they give you a lot of tea to enjoy.

Horrible!!! What a rip-off!! First off the pastries are not worth the price. Tea was not worth the price. Terrible services and you have to wait forever for the next course. We finally asked for our bill and they informed us that they haven’t served the scones yet. Ummm that’s ok, we told them to PLEASE give us our bill as we were done!! $700.00 later we were truly ripped off!

I love the feel of this place. Such a cosy and intimate vibe. The seats are so soft but firm. The staff were really friendly and food was good. Even though it’s a little pricy, you do leave satisfied and content. I would definitely go back but not in a hurry.

Afternoon tea was horrible. Bread and different butters. Stale scones. Couldn’t wait till leave and stop the bleeding. Go anywhere you can other than here. Totally overrated. There are so many better places Still can’t believe this is what we paid for.

Came for an afternoon tea. Good experience, nice cozy place. Food is great too as well as service. For me was too much sweets 3 out of 5. First 2 were sandwiches and very tasty the next 3 were sweets. My stomach didn’t take well so mach bread and pastries, i felt sick after. This is an exquisite afternoon tea with a lot of courses and many of them savoury. Each one presented by friendly staff and with time between to get ready! We were pleased to see the ending scones were small and bite sized so just room enough to squeeze in. If you want an afternoon tea with a difference this is it.

My partner took me here for afternoon tea on Valentine’s Day and it was lovely. High attention to detail, it was rather themed but it was cute. The staff were very friendly, attentive and their service was excellent. The tea was great, the food and desserts were decadent and intricate. Would recommend and return. Thank you!

Xmas eve afternoon tea. Was very quiet, just another table occupied across the other side. The pastry chef came out to explain the freshly baked scones and offered extra to take home as we were foreign visitors. Already recommended this place to friends as a alternative to the tourist guide ones.

Third time coming here for afternoon tea, as before a great experience. Lovely setting to enjoy some delicious pastries and excellent tea. I really enjoy seeing how the menu has changed over the years. Also really enjoyed the new French menu. Was very pleasantly surprised with the vegan options, definitely didn't compromise on taste. Staff was very attentive and didn't rush us. Only downside, it would be great if the children's menu came back as my niece really enjoyed it previously.

Housed within the Sofitel London - The Rose Lounge is everything the title describes. Within a cozy size reminiscent of parlors or centennials ago, the room is designed, colored and decorated in Rose theme. With limited tables (around 9 or so), a harpist adds melody and mood to the ambience. Service is warm and efficient which well complements very tasty pastries, scones and finger sandwiches. All told - a lovely lovely experience.

Afternoon tea was good for the price we paid. What stood out to me the most was the service - the waitress who served (Stella) us was brilliant, she was so polite and helpful and could not have done a better job. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon experience at The Rose Lounge on Saturday, from the three girls from Birmingham/Sheffield.

We visited “The rose lounge” for a cup of tea in the afternoon. When we arrived tables where other guests had previously sat where still untidy and the room was a little bit smelly which kind of ruined the atmosphere. I am also not sure who did the interior design of this lounge but it’s quite dowdy and looks kind of cheap. What saved the day on the other hand was the very beautiful live music! The waitress came quite quickly and gave us the menu however than she didn’t come again to take our order, instead she kept talking to other guests and stood around while the other tables were still not tidy. Later on a young and very polite waiter came and we quickly got our tea which was excellent. Overall you would expect a better service even for just a cup of tea, however both waiters were kind and the tea was good so I might come again.

We har afternoon tea at the Rose lounge. Og was a great experience. We have never had afternoon tea Before, but our hostess was very kind and talked us throuh it. The sandwiches and cakes were Nice, the fra was lovely and the atmosphere was very calm and cosy. A bit expensive though and we were charged extra for, but weren't informed Before we recieved the bill. But all in all we will recomend it.

Durante una breve vacanza a Londra ho deciso di sperimentare il celebre rito pomeridiano dell’Afternoon Tea, una consuetudine che si è imposta nella storia inglese, dopotutto l’afternoon tea è un tripudio di prelibatezze dolci e salate, quindi potrebbe essere visto come un sostituto della cena (specialmente se preso dopo le 18 pm). Fin da subito questa è stata la mia idea, e non sono stato deluso visto al termine ero sazio, nonostante ci siano hotel che propongono un’offerta di cibo ben superiore. Per proviate questo rito avevo deciso di prenotare al Rose Lounge, una sala da tè dentro il Sofitel St. James, visto che conoscevo il resto dell’hotel, ho così voluto andare sul sicuro. Il Lounge è una piccola sala dove il rosa predomina su tutti gli altri colori, perfino le candele sul tavolo sono di quella tonalità! Comunque, quando sono arrivato, un cameriere gentilmente mi ha fatto accomodare e di lì a breve è venuto a prendere la mia ordinazione: dal tè che avevo scelto, un Matcha Tea buonissimo e profumato, fino ai dolci che sarebbero stati serviti dopo i sandwich. Dopo avermi portato la teiera, su di un’alzatina a tre piani c’erano i sandwich con un misto tra salmone e verdure, gli scones, ovvero piccole pagnotte su cui spalmare le marmellate; quella al limone era fantastica. Una volta terminate le tartine, buone, mi hanno portato una tarte tatin e una cheesecake ai mirtilli: entrambi fenomenali. Tutto questo accompagnato da una suonatrice di arpa che ha saputo dare al pomeriggio un tocco di relax e pace. Per quanto riguarda il servizio dei camerieri non ho nulla da dire, sono veloci e professionali. La qualità del servizio e l’atmosfera che si è creata nel Lounge ha reso quel pomeriggio nuvoloso in un pomeriggio dal quale non avresti più voluto uscire.

A delightful afternoon tea set in a quiet and tranquil location with a pretty pink decor. Ideal for a girly afternoon with friends. Service was excellent with staff both helpful and attentive. Food was well presented with variety and the offer of extras of your favourites. You were encourage to take your time and enjoy the full experience.

Come here for a beautiful experience. The room with its charming decor and comfortable sofas, lovely harp music In the background, make it the ideal setting to enjoy that most exquisite of repasts - afternoon tea. A warm welcome by delightful Hamdi immediately puts you in the right mood to leave all worries behind and see life through rose-tinted spectacles for the while. Excellent sandwiches and scones, followed by amazing cakes are accompanied by an extensive choice of fine teas. We visited twice in as many months. The first time was in the run up to Christmas with family and friends aged between 2-78 and everyone had a great time. Hamdi’s service is impeccable and he has a fine touch. The second time was yesterday with my husband, and it was just as enjoyable as the first. This time Hamdi was with newcomer Ivan who adds his own charm. I can see afternoon tea here becoming a regular habit.

Service was excellent, the servers were attentive but not overly so. Without us asking they brought us an extra birthday treat (free of charge) because they worked out we were celebrating a birthday! Pastries in particular were delicious!

Reservamos una mesa aquí en el último minuto para la víspera de Año Nuevo. La habitación es peculiar y muy bien distribuida. La comida estaba bien (la cuajada de limón en particular era muy sabrosa), pero algunos de los sándwiches eran un poco sosos.

Me ha sorprendido toda la experiencia. Fuimos en una tarde fría y tomamos nuestro té en el elegante y acogedor Rose Room. Servicio muy relajado y personalizado. Los sándwiches son excelentes ya que no están todos hechos con pan. Rellenos interesantes con una gran variedad de ingredientes. Scones encantadores y tartas soberbias. Preciosa porcelana de hueso. I chose the Rose Lounge for a special afternoon tea birthday outing for my youngest daughter (12) who wanted to go somewhere, in her own words, "grown up and elegant". My husband and I have eaten at The Balcon and I hoped that the Rose Lounge would deliver a similar quality of food and service. Happily I was right.

Such a great place for a wonderful afternoon tea in really pleasant atmosphere with life harp music after lunch time. Excellent experience and i would definitely recommend it to all of my friends.

Absolutamente hermoso hotel, el ambiente del Rose Lounge es el lugar ideal para tomar el té de la tarde, la iluminación sutil, los cómodos sofás o mesas y sillas para sentarse y disfrutar de su té de la tarde, un excelente arpista tocando. El servicio fue fenomenal, estuvimos muy bien atendidos, nada intrusivos. La comida era deliciosa, disfrutamos de la selección de sándwiches de dedos, ¡tanto que teníamos 2 lotes! Todo muy fresco, el pan era hermosamente fresco y suave, los rellenos muy generosos. Los bollos eran cálidos y deliciosos, la mermelada de fresa y frambuesa con trozos de rosa era para mí la estrella del espectáculo, me encantó, y también la cuajada de limón hecha en casa. Recomiendo tomar el té de la tarde en el Rose Lounge, me sentí como si estuviéramos en otra época (de una buena manera). Ahora busca cenar en el balcón y tomar algo en la calle James Bar dentro del hotel. Me encanta este impresionante hotel en Pall Mall.

I paid my second visit to the Rose Lounge for tea, for my mums birthday. I have to say it was just as fabulous as our first visit. Delicious food, great service and just a brilliant experience. We felt so looked after and I cannot rate this highly enough. A must do.

It was my first time at the Rose Lounge. I must admit I was impressed with everything. From quality, variety, comfort, personalised service, decor, ambience. The place has the most incredible and ample choice of teas from around the world. The quality if sandwiches, scones, cakes and champagne was second to none!! It has an accessible entrance through the hotel lobby. The entire place including toilets was spotless. I am not sure if this would be a good place to bring kids, as they could find it boring I reckon. It is located within the congestion charge zone and parking can be expensive. Within walking distance to Picadilly Circus underground station.

Tomamos el té de la tarde en el salón champagne Rose y considero excelente. La selección de sandwiches, scones y pasteles dulces fue muy buena, así como era el ambiente y arpa en vivo. Sólo el servicio podría haber estado un poco mejor, ya que era un poco lento.

This is an experience that should be better. The setting is wonderful and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately we just didn't have great service. We had to ask repeatedly for more milk and top-ups of tea. The group was given a mix of pastries, rather then sets which meant we could each have one of each of them. Things were tasty but dull - sandwiches especially were no better than you might make at home.Two of our party were on seats that were too high for the low table we were seated around but this couldn't be changed as the lounge was fully booked. It just wasn't worth the money.

El lugar no es más grande que se ve en las fotos, no más de 30 plazas o así, pero dispersados en varias configuraciones, así que si tienes tu propio poco espacio, agradable y acogedor. Cada elemento en el servicio de té tiene algo especial, así que sin duda es parte de la merienda clásica, pero con un poco de sutil resplandor'''' -- como el tomate pan saborizados para uno de los sándwiches, o la cuajada de limón empalagoso para su scones --, así como el helado tradicional cuajada y (strawberry y rose) mermelada. Hay una amplia variedad de tés, pero, por supuesto, tenía una de las dos rosas perfumadas, que era opciones delicado y encantador. La música en vivo de arpa (y sí, ella jugarán peticiones! Fue un detalle encantador), así como la sorpresa de cumpleaños - una escultura verdadero de mini tartas con una vela pequeñita y feliz cumpleaños chocolate inscrita con ''''! El personal era atento y de hecho la comida era tan abundante que tomó el mini-tartas caseras. Un regalo muy especial - y recomiendo encarecidamente el pistacho jazmín/pastel de chocolate blanco! Sólo "bemol" (como el Francés le pondría) - algunas de las China en exposición en la nichos iluminados - nicho es, para decirlo amablemente. Pero eso realmente es buscarle, no? ! Y que habría tiempo para examinar el mismo, si no ocupado con té delicioso! ;-)).

Increíble el té de la tarde, desde el momento en que entramos en el servicio era increíble, yo tengo una alergia alimentaria y había enviado antes y la respuesta fue genial. La comida era increíble, el té y el champán fluyó preciosa también. Nos lo pasamos de maravilla, muchas gracias. Enormemente apreciado. Gran ambiente, gran personal!

Visité el Rose Lounge con mi madre y mi hermana por el día de la madre un té. Desde el momento en que entramos en el personal era atento hasta el momento que nos fuimos. Desde tomar el guardarropa de abrigos para ofrecer más agua caliente para el té el servicio era de cinco estrellas. El té de la tarde era fresca y deliciosa. En general, una experiencia maravillosa y lo recomiendo.

The lovely French waitress is one of the best parts of the afternoon tea experience. Thanks also to the staff who hanged our jackets. They all made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Frankly speaking the food itself is average but the staff and ambience of the place is worth every penny we spent. We tried 4 different tea and the best among them is the Darjeeling. The experience would be even better if the harpist was present (days other than Monday and Tuesday)

Second time I have visited The Rose Lounge ,and must say great food .

My friend and I had not seen each other for a while and decided to catch up over afternoon tea. We chose the Rose Lounge as it sounded good. We had to wait a little while for someone to see to us and show us to our seats but we loved the style and atmosphere of the room that we were sat in and the service was welcoming. We both loved the gin cocktail, which was delicious, as were our coffees and teas. The sandwiches were brought out and looked nice, although some of the bread was dry. The flavours were ok but not particularly interesting. I loved the idea of the 3 different flavoured scones and they looked lovely and crispy on the outside, however I was disappointed as all three were slightly dry and had hard parts inside, so therefore I only managed to eat just over one scone. I don't know if we were just unlucky with ours. It was a shame because the accompanying clotted cream and lemon curd were delicious. As my friend is dairy free she had separate things to me and appreciated that this was taken on board, but had similar feelings to me about the food, although her scones were better. Due to this fact we only got two pastries each, whereas if we had both had the regular afternoon tea we could have halved each pastries and tried four each.The two pastries that I did have were tasty and looked nice. The service was a little slow, but the staff were very friendly and often asked if we needed anything. Overall we loved the room and the drinks, the service was good and the afternoon tea good value for a hotel in London, but some of the food let it down a bit.

I took my niece here for afternoon tea. The food was superb with a lovely choice of sandwiches, scones and pastries. We were offered more sandwiches and hot water for our tea. Service was excellent. A harpist played while we ate and the ambience was calm, relaxed and very sophisticated. I recommend the Rose tea if you visit.

We visited here for afternoon tea for a friend's birthday. It was fantastic. The staff are absolutely brilliant, polite, friendly and really made the experience for us. Our table was ready for us when we arrived and they even let us set up for our friends birthday with the present and card. There is a brilliant selection of tea and pastries here. The menus are neat and very informative. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to explain the menu to all guests. When we visited they had a harpist playing and she played beautifully at a soft enjoyable volume with a selection of well known songs. The tables are presented beautifully for afternoon tea. There is a good selection of sandwiches and the staff were brilliant at checking allergies and dietary requirements. Some of our party don't eat pork and this was no problem at all. All the staff were attentive. The toilets are clean and decorated to a high standard. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who would like afternoon tea. Thankyou to the team on Saturday afternoon you made our celebration truly special.

As any Sofitel, this hotel does not deceive. It was a very relaxing and cozy trip thanks in part to this hotel.

Everything was excellent. Fantastic service, delicious food, decor, atmosphere. It was a wish on my daughter and I visiting London for the first time. We were so happy about our choice. It is the best quality/price definitely.. My husband wanted the Savoy Closest to our hotel but I am happy to changed his mind. I cannot wait to go back.My only reproach will be the size of the table,is quite small considering all trays and teapots on it.

Op zoek naar een stijlvolle plaats om te genieten van echte Engelse high tea? Het Sofitel heeft een leuke formule en handig: je hoeft niet te reserveren (het kan natuurlijk wel als je op zeker wil spelen). In de Rose Lounge krijg je een plaatsje aan een van de gezellige kleine tafeltjes, waar het genieten kan beginnen, terwijl een harpiste zorgt voor een aangenaam achtergrondmuziekje. Je krijgt een selectie van sandwiches, scones (met jam en lemon curd) en gebakjes en kan kiezen uit een brede selectie van verse thees om erbij te drinken. Voor de echte genieters is er ook champagne of een zoete huiscocktail met gin. Supervriendelijk personeel. Prijs: 168 pond voor vier personen. De moeite waard!! 

Quiet and very civilised tea room (also does coffee and a wide range of drinks). Quality of the tea is excellent - not an easy thing to find in London where coffee tends to be the focus.

We came to the Rose Lounge to celebrate an important day for a friend. Amazing afternoon, the food there never disappoints, great variety of tea, not to mention their new free flowing champagne option, ideal for celebrations! We have been very well looked after, especially by an Italian waiter (sorry we cannot remember the name). Would definitely be back! To note: very close to the So spa, an ideal combo for a special afternoon
