Stayed here for one night, beautiful room with lots of nice little touches. Complimentary breakfast was super tasty and everybody was really friendly, would come again.

Amazing food, superb service and lovely atmosphere. My partner and I regularly go in for lunch, this is a real gem of Colchester.

Went for Sunday roast. Had the turkey and the very best apple pie with custard. Really enjoyed it. Plenty of everything. Good service with a smile. Good value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

Lots of people having meals on a Thursday evening, & a wide choice of ales, lagers & ciders for the drinkers.

Very clean place with friendly staff. A few chips to eat while you're waiting for the food is a great touch. I had fish and chips, good sized portions. Both chips and fish were a little over greasy for my preference compared to others I've had. Cash only.

Absolutely love this place. I have been lucky enough to go twice this month and each the time the staff and food were amazing. First time was with a group of around 15 and second time group of 8 and everyone really enjoyed their food and said they would go back. Family fun, fresh food.

Very disappointing roast dinner on Sunday 26th may for 3 people: it was Luke warm and the lamb was awful no decent slices it was like the end of the joint , when mentioned to the waitress she advised they were short staffed, did take off 20% which worked out £14 which I was still not happy with as didn’t eat even half but left it at that. Never again.

Brilliant for understanding food intolerances and allergies. Very helpful owner and staff who had a good understanding of potential food issues. Had a lovely gluten free crepe with fruit. Very accommodating and kind. It made such a nice change to be able to eat freely from the menu.

Food is great, but the driver was abusive towards my wife, left her in tears after shouting at her and refused to hand over our food because he had to meet us at our front door of the block rather than us coming to the road because his “motorbike might have gotten stolen” I stated in my instructions that I would come down to meet him, but he didn’t read that. I don’t pay for delivery to have to walk down the road to meet him and take the food off of his bike for him. I had gone down to the front door of the block to meet him, which is already more than some would do, only for him to come up a second set of stairs and stand there shouting at my wife and aggressively gesturing towards her
