The best restaurants in Haldens Welwyn Hatfield East of England

As a Coeliac this place is amazing! It’s a bit of journey for us but worth it every time to have the freedom to eat completely safely. Nothing is too much trouble.

Great atmosphere, good music and we love the coffee. Almond croissants are the best. Cups are a bit on the small side but other than that it is our go to regular on weekends.

Great food and delivery service. I ordered just before closing time and although they gave me the wrong order, I called up to explain the situation and they delivered the right order to me themselves quickly. Food came still hot and was very tasty- would recommend!

Me and the family placed an order of large lamb shish and chicken shish with chips. It was our first time coming here and we were very impressed with the portion size and quality. The lamb was tender and had the charcoal flavour you expect from meat being cooked over charcoal. I tried some of my partners chicken and it was succulent and not dry it also had very nice smokey flavour. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. It might not make a difference to some but to me that matters. And I will definitely be returning and ave 2spread the word to family and friends. All in all this is hands down the best chipshop/kebab shop we have had the luxury of trying in Welwyn Garden City.

Stayed here as we were visiting family in Welwyn Garden City. Room a bit basic with access from outside. But it was significantly cheaper than other hotels we looked at so good value for money. Clean and tidy but not a lot of storage ie no chest of drawers. Good hanging space for coats etc. Good range of choice for breakfast in the bar area. Reasonably priced. Very quiet when we stayed though it does host music events from time to time. You might want to check on this before booking. Check in was in the bar area of the restaurant.

Spent £30 on food as we've been decorating all day, the fish was nice but the onion rings were hard and crusty, and the chicken fillets were thrown in the bin as when child bite into one you could see pink amd wasn't risking it, wished I'd taken a picture now

Hardworking including through lockdown. Good customer service, friendly and professional including their walk-in shop. Polite individuals.

Every visit here we have had a great meal & last night was no exception. We enjoy the poppadums & dips for starters then share 2 mains with a rice. One of the best chicken kormas in the area 😋. Staff are very friendly & prices reasonable with an extensive menu. No trouble getting a same day booking either.

Had a pizza delivery and was very pleased with our food and delivery, Niks was very friendly, will definitely be ordering again.

I don’t ever eat in at Avellinos’s. I always get the food to go. The Delivery service. Is prompt and professional.
