The View Bar & Kitchen in Welwyn Hatfield

I went to the View Bar & Kitchen and stayed there for three nights during my Master's Ceremony in the tri-state. The room I had was lovely and perfect for sleeping in. Despite never needing room service since I'm generally cleanly, the service was outstanding in the bar area! Nice staff and very helpful when I had questions. The location itself is lovely, but the only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that it isn't close to anything noteworthy. If you need anything you'll have to go to the three neighbouring towns.

Stayed here as we were visiting family in Welwyn Garden City. Room a bit basic with access from outside. But it was significantly cheaper than other hotels we looked at so good value for money. Clean and tidy but not a lot of storage ie no chest of drawers. Good hanging space for coats etc. Good range of choice for breakfast in the bar area. Reasonably priced. Very quiet when we stayed though it does host music events from time to time. You might want to check on this before booking. Check in was in the bar area of the restaurant.

We stopped here over night as we had a family party in the area. Ample parking. Some steps both up and down to access room. Friendly welcome. Comfortable room. Good value Enjoyable breakfast

Love it when uptown discos are there

Went here for a xmas work do. Been many times for parties and functions before. Nice room, really good Xmas dinner and staff are friendly and accomodating. Didn't enjoy the disco as much this time but that's down to the DJ ,not the place.

Stayed for one night on business. Lovely clean room, had everything I needed. Great tasty food at the restaurant too. Had the best night sleep in a really comfortable bed.

The staff at the hotel are exceptionally welcoming, and the hotel rooms are very nice. However, I recommend you should consider updating the bathroom. Specifically, the shower head requires replacement, and the sealing should be improved, as it was a bit of mould too. Overall, I recommend the hotel, great value for money.

Absolutely disgusting service. Stayed 2 nights. 1st night loud but 2nd night outrageous until 11.30 the started arranging bar above our room until 12.30. Then Outside the rooms at 5.30am cutting grass. Manager in bar wasted, children being served at the bar. No food available despite kitchen supposed to be open. Tried to speak to manager in morning, out playing a round of golf!! When he did eventually turn up flatly refused to speak to me, would even acknowledge i was speaking to him !!! Turned his back on me !! CLEANER was more professional. Don't go here seriously.

Absolutely awful place to stay. Booked two nights here Friday and Saturday. Rooms are directly under bar area. 1st night food OK, noise loud but ended at a reasonable time. 2nd night told us food until 8pm but closed kitchen at 6 so no food at all. Manager was totally wasted in bar, kids being served at bar. Music really loud, couldn't even hear tv in our room over it. Finished at 11.30 but then staff dragging furniture around over our heads until gone 12.30 !!! To top this they then started cutting grass outside rooms at 5.30 am !!!! Breakfast was from 8am but not open as manager playing a round of golf ( cleaner who was lovely told us) When I spoke to manager in the morning he was so unprofessional, disinterested, turned his back and refused to even acknowledge me !!! I am a professional woman and this was totally disrespectful for someone in a position such as his.his cleaner was more professional than him !!! I'd never recommend this chain to anyone.

Lovely bar with great views over the golf course. Popped in for an early evening drink, bar staff very friendly. Great choice of wines. Unable to rate the rooms.

Emma was and is an absolute diamond! We arrived after the kitchen closed, but Emma offered, cooked and served a fantastic meal. Her hospitality and conversation was what was needed after a 4.5hr drive. She’s a keeper…

We only stayed one night, and the room was comfortable and clean. We did not eat or drink there.

Great food, great indoor and outdoor venues for coffee or a whole lot more

Good atmosphere for my neices hen party and England playing in the football. Bit on the pricey side for the drink s, tho I suppose is to be expected due to the venue

Turned up and got harassed by a staff member named Fiona and told to leave before even getting a drink and watched her talk to another staff member poorly before telling me I have something to do with this co worker. Arrived at the pub after an incident at local club in shock before being harassed by Fiona as well as harass other people coming from the local club after the incident.

Thank you so much Lewis & Fiona for the most fabulous wedding! You were absolutely amazing and the venue was amazing! The food was next level and every single guest commented on how it was the best hog roast they have ever had and that the potatoes and crackling was amazing! The vegetarians also said how incredible it was and they went for seconds! Honestly though you made it the best day for Danny and I and we are truly grateful for everything you done for us both

food was really good, excellent service and a nice view of the course

The compact room was clean and had enough facilities for our overnight stay. Emma was lovely when she greeted us and luckily was able to let us have an early check in, so we could finish getting ready for a wedding nearby. Would stay again.

Excellent bar with great food. Bit pricey for drinks, but that's the same wherever you go nowadays.

We stayed last night. Very nice & clean. Beautiful view (clue in the name) and the rabbits 🐇 are sooo cute!!

Lovely clean and quiet rooms overlooking the golf course. Check in/out is always very easy

19th hole on the golf course. Serves good food. Sports played on the TV. Pool table.
