The best restaurants in Kessingland Waveney East of England

We went here for a family wedding beggining of December. The venue is absolutly amazing something for everyone. The children had an amazing time playing all the machines. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Every little thing we asked for they sorted, all with a smile. So friendly and helpful even if some of us drove them mad. Absolutely top place top staff and skinny couldnt of helped any more. And brilliant with the children of all ages.

Second night on the run enjoying dinner at this excellent restaurant. Superb food and great value for money. Service excellent.

It was buzzing, but luckily, the restaurant squeezed us in, and service was pleasant. The cod was delicious and fkaky with excellent batter, chips tasty and crisp, and mushy peas good...regular was perfect size portion, leaving room for pudfing...apple pie and chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. All washed down with a pot of tea. What more could you ask for? We would be very happy to return.

Best chinese food I've had outside of china town in london. Great value. Would recomend delivery was spot on and quick. Wish I had a local chinese like this.

The pizza is always on point and tastes wonderful, you can even eat it another day cold or warmed up and tastes just as good. We ordered 3 pizzas, one margarita, one pepperoni and one choose your own and they were wondeful! We also had a garlic cheesy bread pizza which was great and 2 lots of large chips which were perfect! This place clears dominoes, papa johns and pizza hut

Carvery was extremely poor and very sad looking.. All food was cold although we were there before 1pm. No thermometer probes were being used. Meat was piled up at one end and looked very unappealing. Meat was dried up. Some of the vegetables were probably cooked the day before and heated up......I.e potatoes and cauliflower cheese (grey). There were many people complaining. Perhaps a good idea for Manager/'chef' to take a look at carvery presentation at Toby Carvery pubs.

The flavors in every bite were incredible! The restaurant had a great ambiance, the service was exceptional, and the food was truly delightful.

We enjoyed a couple of welcome pints after a walk on the beach...good selection of beers and friendly service..whilst this is clearly frequented by locals and we were visitors, we felt comfortable and welcomed. The Lurcher stout and Abbotts reserve especially good and can recommend. It wasn't clear if they were doing food, and as we had another plan, we didn't enquire, so can't comment on the menu or food offering. Would happily return if visiting or staying local.

The friendliest staff and best fried bread this side of the Pecos River. The full English breakfast is top drawer but the fried bread wins the prize! Love this place!

Amazing carvery, with good portion of meat and variety of vegetables. Friendly and helpful staff. Dogs welcome in bar area and outside. Can’t book bar area but plenty of tables when we went in. Pool table was a great extra and bouncy castle in garden.

Staying in Lowestoft with friends for a girly weekend and decided to visit iconic for lunch…have to say the food was outstanding..great value..came out quick..cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced…service was great beautiful place to visit we would highly recommend and look forward to returning thank you iconic you were an absolute delight

Tonight we ate here after many months not as the last few times have been the worst. Tonight the manager and staff whom must ne new were lovely. Helpful , the last manger was rude and didn't basically care. Food was actually delicious and hot. Waitress actually took our order at the table instead of doing it all online. Which we appreciated. If these two members are still here in a few months then we will definitely be back

I ordered my usual LARGE HADDOCK & MEDIUM CHIPS for my tea tonight and I was rather disappointed with the size of my meal. Last week at the same time I ordered my usual & I got a big piece of fish & a very generous portion of chips but this evening when I unwrapped it it contained a medium piece of fish with a small portion of chips which varied enormously from last week. The fish was cooked on too hight a temperature cos although the fish was cooked the batter underneath was not cooked enough cos it was a bit soggy. My meal was half the size of last week's meal which was also cooked properly unlike tonight's meal batter. I haven't complained cos it never changes anything so I will leave it to this site & the internet to make the necessary changes if THE VILLAGE FRYER even looks at it as sites like this seem to be way more effective!!!

Went for a Tea and Cake after a stroll on the beach. All was ok, nothing spectacular, but not bad either. Great views across the sea and beach.
