The best restaurants in Central Watford East of England

Just spent a weekend in watford. Went to Mangans Friday night, Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Top class. Clean. Right size. Great range of drinks. The owners and staff are sound and no one waits for drinks. Will definitely return. Our 42 strong group of all ages found it a perfect spot to visit and revisit over the weekend. Pool darts jukebox the lot. Great pints and craic.

Went off the back of the reviews and not sure it lived up to expectations. Somewhat average Italian restaurant in all regards. Kids had risotto which was undercooked, there was a piece of glass in my pizza. Service was ok. Pizza when it came back after being redone was nice but nothing special.

The staff here is kind and helpful. I ordered the Thom Yum with chicken and enjoyed it! The portion was a great size, with lots of veggies and chicken in the soup. The broth itself had flavorful spices and was tangy (which I love) but was slightly on the salty side. The dish comes with a side of rice and I would say the rice helps with the saltiness of the broth. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

An excellent bar with fantastic food, beers and staff. Had food and drink here before going to Wembley and it really delivered. Definitely pay it a visit.

A nice cafe in Watford with fair prices which opens early for breakfast. It is only a short walk from the main shopping centre. I opted for set breakfast number five, an egg, bacon, sausages, two hash browns chips, beans and toast. Cooked well and good value. Best coffee I have had this year, great sourdough toasties and picked up a couple of great vinyl LP’s too. Friendly staff.

Visited for brunch, gorgeous food and coffee and lovely service! Will definitely be back for the brunch.. a must do in Watford town centre.

Waiting one hour and half to be served without any explanation. When finally the food arrived , parcial of it was cold and incomplete . With the previous managers this never happened

Quite possibly the worst meal we’ve ever had. Sloppy Paella with lumps of fat, not beef. Steak was a lump of fat. Seabass was a tiny piece of fish covered in some cheap sauce. Calamari was awful. Drinks and service were fine. Will never be returning and recommend everyone to steer clear.
